Relax and rejuvenate at Kilkelly's West Wing Cabin! We are blessed to live in an especially beautiful part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, perched high on a finger ridge of the Eastern Continental Divide. With safe, paved road year-around access, we are just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Bamboo Gap entrance, and only minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock. Yet we enjoy total privacy and unsurpassed panoramic views. There are no city lights, so the stars are magnificent. And with no nearby highways or traffic noise, we are able to enjoy the orchestral sounds of nature. As we are very grateful for being able to share this beauty with others, our goal is to provide a unique vacation destination, centered around the serenity and majesty of the oldest mountain range on our continent.

You will be surrounded by gorgeous mountain views from our 22-acre ridge of gardens, woodland and fields. You will be welcomed with warmth and special amenities - and pampered by luxurious furnishings. About 3 years ago, we opened our West Wing Cabin -- a luxurious and totally private and independent, 2-bedroom/2-bath condo done in a Adirondack style. It is sound-separated from the Main House by double exterior walls and doors. And it was designed at an angle from the Main House to ensure visual privacy. It is also out of sight or sound of our other vacation rental, The Original Cabin, which is further down our ridge. The 'West Wing' is 1800 square feet, two stories, with a king bedroom suite on each floor. It has its own private drive, its own parking area, three private entrances, its own front porch, rear patio, and corner-wrapped deck -- all with tables, swings, and comfortable seating. The Wing has , a dedicated heating/AC system and satellite TV system; a private foyer, living room, kitchen, pantry, and billiard/game room. And best of all -- it has its own breathtaking, panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, valleys, sunrises, and sunsets.

*Please note that as of 2020 we do not have a hot tub. We recognize there are a few customer photos on google that we cannot remove that show a hot tub, but due to Covid19 and new extensive cleaning procedures we took it out and replaced it with fully stocked fire pit. Thank you for your understanding. :)

There are flowering trees, beautiful landscaping, and seasonal vegetable gardens. We have outdoor play areas and play equipment, a horse shoe pit, a fire pit, a 45-foot rope swing, and nearby streams.

It's a perfect place to experience dramatic weather changes and cloud formations, above you and below. And at night, it's a star gazer's dream! And we have another little gift from Mother Nature: WE'VE NEVER HAD MOSQUITOES! All patios and decks are open to nature.

Our goal is to share this remarkable natural setting with our guests by providing private, warm and luxurious accommodations, and a memorable visit to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
