The Federal House & Apartments is a perfect location for a large group or family gathering. For those playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park you will have everything you need within a short distance. The house is only 1 mile from the park and a block away from the grocery store, McDonalds and more. The Baseball Hall of Fame, The Farmers’ Museum, The Fenimore Art Museum, restaurants, shops and Otsego Lake are all just minutes away in The Village of Cooperstown. It is also conveniently located near the famed New York Beverage Trail, with Brewery Ommegang, Red Shed Brewery and Cooperstown Brewery all located within a 4 mile radius.
The main Federal House is a historic, 5-bedroom, two-story home built in 1814. It was remodeled in 2003, adding modern amenities such as central air conditioning and a large in ground swimming pool. This entertainment-oriented home sits on over 5 acres of land and features a updated country kitchen, dining room with table for 12, living room, game room, pool and patio. There are 5 bedrooms in the Main Federal House including a 1st floor primary suite with full bathroom. Original features such as tall ceilings and extra wide hardwood plank floors are still evident throughout this beautiful house.
The Federal house property also has an apartment duplex in a separate building, built in 2004. Each apartment is 2 levels with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and living room with large screen TV and TVs in each bedroom. The apartments have a large deck off the back with outdoor seating and a gas grill and balconies off the bedrooms.
The Federal House & Apartments share the use of the pool, the fire pit and the large flat lawn, great for yard games with your group. Group lodging doesn't get much better than this! With the owner's prior approval, one well supervised team party is allowed when renting The house and the apartments together.
