We loved spending Thanksgiving with our family at this beautiful and cozy farmhouse! We enjoyed walking the property and playing in the yard with our dog! Easy drive to the caves and hiking trails!

House was very nice with comfortable beds, large open layout, great outdoor space with fire pit and rows of flowers (and soon to be native plants!) Great location near mammoth cave and other smaller caves. About an hour from Louisville as well. The hosts saw that we had 5 guests and went out of their way to set up an extra bed complete with a stuffed animal that we all loved! Overall we had a great stay!

Perfect stay accommodating 5 adults during our stay. 20-30 minutes from Caves ,Kentucky down under zoo,Hidden river cave and Stonehenge. Lovely open fields surrounded property with lots of birds,Turkey and Deer.

Wonderful and Peaceful

My husband and I and two grandchildren (ages 10 and 8) loved staying in this farmhouse. It was very clean, spacious, and well appointed - anything we needed was there. The views from every window were beautiful. Debra was a super host and very easy to communicate with throughout the whole rental process. This was the perfect place to come back to after doing the touristy things - very peaceful and quiet. Our favorite part was the neighbor horse - a lovely mare named Addie. We had heard of her in other reviews so we came prepared with apples and carrots. She came over everyday and was the sweetest, most gentlest horse. She ate from our hands and loved to be petted and scratched. I recommend Debra’s home to anyone looking for this type of getaway!!

Better than a Hotel by FAR!

Having traveled a lot, I get so sick of Hotels. The noise, the smells, the parking lots, just the whole thing is stressful. We had this rented for 8 days, it is so quiet, so peaceful. It is indeed a "homeplace". Maybe thats not your thing, but if spending time in a homeplace, looking a mile across a beautiful field, seeing an occasional Horse & Buggy, then this is it. Also I streamed on my Mac so the Internet is great. Thanks to the owners,,

Great place to stay with family. Very clean and convenient, well equipped, everything we could think of needing was already there. 10 mins from my family in Munfordville. In the middle of farms. Friendly horse next door. Just a head's up that the yard is not fenced in case you're thinking of bringing a dog.

A perfect retreat. Debra has literally thought of everything to make the stay ideal. The home is comfortable, clean and quiet. The views are outstanding; and next door, horses roam the fields. Beds are comfy cozy. Well stocked kitchen. If you’re in town to visit Mammoth cave and other local attractions, you don’t have a long drive to the park. Highly recommended! 5 stars all the way!

Excellent stay

Very charming property. The house is clean and well maintained. It has everything you need and more. Nice firepit and grill. We had a couple of questions and the host responded within minutes. Surrounding area is beautiful. We even got to pet a horse in the neighboring pasture. Just a great house to bring a family.

Perfect country getaway

This place truly felt like home, probably because my spouse and I each grew up in surprisingly similar country homes. It felt familiar and comfortable from the moment we stepped in to the moment we locked the door behind us for the last time. The neighboring horses stole our daughter's heart, and the location is GORGEOUS, from rolling hills and woodland to wildlife including birds, deer, squirrels, and turkeys. The view from the hill the house sits on is spectacular from daybreak to sundown, from every perspective. We were charmed by the passings-by of the local Amish folk in their buggies, and it's close to so many attractions that it would take too long to list them all, yet far enough from town that we weren't bothered by traffic and light pollution. We toured several surrounding caves and shopped at many antiques stores. We went to a fun zoo. We ate a delicious breakfast at a Dutch restaurant/bakery, a very tasty lunch at a local Tex-Mex establishment, and dinner at a BBQ joint recommended in the guest book. Everything was fabulous. At night, pleasantly weary, we settled into comfortable beds. All in all, having a home-away-from-home made our week-long stay in Kentucky much more memorable than a featureless hotel room/suite could have. Before, during, and after, our hostess Debra was pleasant and highly responsive to messages, and the wifi is faster than our own! If we have reason to revisit this area of Kentucky, we'll be eager to stay here again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Wonderful & Peaceful Farm Stay!

My children and I were hiking into Mammoth Cave over a long June weekend and were delighted to stay in this warm and cozy home, which is just like my family and friends enjoyed where I grew up in midwest farm country. Very gracious neighbors were kind to wave and who tended to the tall grasses around their horse’s pen, with a beautiful playful foal and horses to admire from afar as they grazed and rolled in the grass—-such a lovely view to enjoy as a family staying! We enjoyed the easy access to s’mores in the backyard fire circle and savored walks around the property to relax each morning and evening. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay, and we look forward to a return visit! Family restaurants nearby sweetened the deal for my two kids, and we even made it over to the drive in movies one evening for a great Summer memory.
