Beautiful and cozy, yet very roomy home on a small, quiet lake just 8 miles from Phelps, Wisconsin.
This welcoming home is 1 mile over the Michigan border on HWY 17, east of the town of Phelps. It lies halfway between Eagle River, Wisconsin and Iron River, Michigan. It's bursting with everything you love about the Northwoods.
You will love the large inviting living room with knotty pine paneling and gorgeous view of the lake. The kitchen is large with everything you could possibly need for preparing meals. You will enjoy the convenience of an ice maker and dishwasher.
Everyone loves the bright, airy attic with a fun game table and peaceful sitting area. There is a nice deck and a pier for relaxation while enjoying the scenery of the sparkling water and woods across the lake, as well as the loon family that returns every year. A canoe is available for use. If you like exploring the night time sky you will appreciate the telescope too.
This home is great for all seasons. The snowmobile trail is just a mile away.
There is a large parking area which can easily accommodate a boat or snowmobile trailer.
Big Sand Lake Club Golf Course is only a mile away.
All who have stayed give it an enthusiastic 5 star rating.

I cannot express my love for this spot enough. It was so relaxing. The owner was so kind and easy to work with. It is just the most perfect peaceful spot. Our dogs also loved it. The water is so clear. The lake is shallow which kept it warm. Ive never seen a better stocked kitchen at a rental either. They had everything you could want or need. We will be returning and very soon.

Summer Vacation

Where do I start? This property was amazing, Dori was excellent at communicating instructions and checking in, the house itself was immaculately clean and in great condition. Had Wi-Fi for the kid's morning cartoons. The lake was amazing and quite with great swimming for the kids and fishing in the mornings and evenings for me. Very close to Phelps and Iron River to stock up on what you need and most importantly NO cell phone service (land line provided) but it's always nice to get away for a bit. I could go on and on, but I would highly recommend this property. Thank You again for letting my family stay.

Clean, remote and comfortable.

The house is clean and check in was easy. The host lives right across the road. It’s an older home in a remote location. WiFi was mediocre, not adequate for working remotely. There also is no central air. For the price (necessary to purchase insurance too) there are a lot of options in the area that off the same stuff.

Excellent

Excellent stay! Property is super clean and comfortable, very peaceful setting. Has all the comforts of home. Owners were very responsive and kind with any questions. Kids loved the kayak, canoe, and board games. We have family in the area and would definitely stay again!

Million Dollar View!

This place is amazing and the views are spectacular. Super clean and comfortable, with wonderful bedding and mattress in the main bedroom (it was just my husband and I). I seriously had some of the best sleep I have had in a long time. Incredible views of the lake right outside the family room windows. We took our coffee out to the dock in the morning and hung out there later in the day. You will not want to leave, and Dori is charming and helpful too. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, if you are staying in. Thanks for a great stay, and we hope to be back again soon!

Lake Time

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Little Smoky Lake with a memorable view of a very picturesque lake. The owner was very friendly and helpful in every way. The kitchen was well equipped and the cabin very spacious. We will be back!
