Spring break trip
We had a great few days with family. Enjoyed the ping pong table & the pool. Appreciated the beach chairs and beach towels. The house was well stocked with kitchen iems including ketchup, mustard and a large selection of spices not normally found in a rental. Communication with Randy was timely. He even allowed us to add an extra day to our trip. We were surprised during one of our emails that he stated that he and his wife had an apartment at the back of the house and would be there during our stay. We were surprised as nowhere in the house listing or description did it mention the owners would be on site. If we had known that we would not have rented this house. There was no intrusion by the owners.....just a different feel than we are used to. 1 daughter and her sons live 60 miles away and arrived hours before the rest of us were to arrive. She was shocked upon arrival to find 2 cars in the driveway. We explained they probably belonged to the owners but she was not comfortable being there without us so she drove back home for the night. She drove back the next morning. It was disappointing for us to hear her family would not be there when we arrived late that night. Since we see her family once a year it was sad to miss out on a night's bedtime kisses and morning hugs. Owners on sight might not be an issue for some renters; just thought it was fair for people to be aware of it before they commit.
