Welcome to our newly renovated 5BR Berkshire lake & ski retreat—thoughtfully reimagined by an Architect and Interior Designer to create a serene, elevated vacation experience.
Just 5 minutes to Ski Butternut, 20 minutes to Catamount, and 15 minutes to vibrant downtown Great Barrington, you’ll be perfectly positioned to enjoy the best of the Berkshires: skiing, hiking, dining, shopping, and endless outdoor adventures.
Inside, the home is bright, spacious, and designed for groups of 12–14 to relax in comfort. Enjoy 5 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 2 living rooms with oversized smart TVs and wood burning fireplace, a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, dining room, and front & rear decks with BBQ.
Natural light fills the house, framing views of the lake and surrounding trees.
Step outside to enjoy a 6-person hot tub with lake views, a fully fenced backyard perfect for families and pets, and a Solo Stove smokeless fire pit sitting area for cozy evenings under the stars.
A short 5-minute walk brings you to the white-sand public beach of Lake Garfield, with picnic tables, lifeguards in season, floating docks for swimmers to use and a boat launch. Guests are welcome to use our 2 kayaks, conveniently stored by the beach during summer months.

The house was beautiful and very well stocked with all we need. We especially liked the kitchen and all the large bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the owners were extremely pleasant when we corresponded with them . Seems like a great year round place , will be back in the summer and hopefully again next winter to ski!

We had a lovely stay! The space was perfect for our group of 4 moms looking for a peaceful getaway. The host was very responsive. Only note for those visiting, rideshares (Uber and otherwise) are few and far between. Schedule ahead! We'd definitely stay again :)

Beautiful clean, home minutes from SKI Butternut!

We enjoyed staying at the house with our friends/family. Easy check in, Shay was very attentive to any questions, and the check in directions were seamless. House was clean and fun for all. Also, about 10 minutes to Ski Butternut, 30 min from Catamount, and 15 to drive into town! Overall, 5 star stay!

Awesome Ski House - Great for Multiple Families

This is a great house for multiple families as there are three separate floors. Everything you could need was provided, the beds were very comfortable, and the entire house and everything in it was extremely clean. The close proximity to Butternut was also a major plus. Shay was a great host and the communication was excellent. Anytime I had a question he responded quickly. I would stay at this house again in a second. Looking forward to the next time!

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of privacy, natural beauty, and unbeatable access to the best of the Berkshires. The home sits in a quiet, private Lake Garfield community, surrounded by trees and bathed in natural light, with beautiful lake views from nearly every room. It’s the kind of peaceful setting that immediately makes you feel relaxed.
The location is exceptional for anyone who loves the outdoors. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the Lake Garfield sandy public beach, and close to some of the region’s most scenic hiking trails. In the winter, skiing is incredibly convenient: Ski Butternut is only 5 minutes away, Otis Ridge is 13 minutes, and Catamount is a short 20 min drive.
We also chose this neighborhood for its proximity to the vibrant town of Great Barrington, just 15 minutes away, where guests can enjoy farm-to-table restaurants, cafés, local breweries, boutiques, and cultural attractions.
