Property was exremely convenient to the beach and anything you would want to do. The house was clean, and the fact that it was pet friendly made this rental the best choice for our family.

The location has ruined us from settling for anything less than a beachfront home with a private walkway, doggy gates, multiple view points, multiple wash stations, and hot tub. The kitchen is well equiped, has a two types coffee makers, an extra full fridge in the laundry room, gas grill, and even a corn hole set! Island Cycles Beach Gear Rentals covers everything else you need so you can pack less in your car.

Hurricane Erin didn't stop the fun!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We weathered Hurricane Erin at Time Out and had a great time! We missed floating in the ocean and our offshore fishing trip that was cancelled due to the storm, but the house was cozy and the views of the ocean before, during and after the storm were spectacular. While the house isn't super fancy, we had everything we needed and were very comfortable and chill, just as a week at the beach should be.We also appreciated the added perks - like the gates at both exits, allowing our dog to be outside, and safe.

The new windows are gorgeous and the sliders are beautiful. I have rented this house every year for about twenty years. It is right on the beach and the views are amazing, at night, you go to sleep to the sound of the ocean. Is very well set up and very well maintained.

Family Tradition in Kill Devil Hills!

I wouldn't have thought it would have been possible, however, this year was better than last year! There were improvements and upgrades to the property. The cleanliness was superior to any location we have ever stayed at. The location within Kill Devil Hills couldn't be better... you can easily walk to everything in the area. We will continue to make this our annual family vacation.

Break from the pandemic

We all enjoyed the comfortable living/dining area - clean environment, great views from all the decks. Bedrooms were plentiful (although mattresses are a bit hard). Loved our vacation ! Must also commend Carolina Shores - they are on top of everything maintenance - and are quick to respond if you had an issue (we had none). Recommend this home without hesitation. Lots of nearby places to eat and things to see, but just wave watching and porpoises off your own deck can't be beat.

Wonderful location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I only used one bedroom, ( the perfect one facing the ocean) and the mattress was very very comfortable. That's important to us. You have to bring your own towels and washcloths and soaps and linens, all paper products etc. Which is no big deal if it's just two of you. There are a lot of stairs. I wouldn't recommend this house if that would be a problem for someone. It got to me after a couple of days (I'm an old coot) Oh, and the toilets are low to the ground. Probably 10 inches high or so. (I'm spoiled by my 17 incher..) The hot tub was a wonderful relief after all the "exercise" we were getting. Dishwasher, wonderful. Plenty of kitchen 'stuff'. Nice TVs. There is a studio apartment downstairs with its own entrance. Would be perfect for a young adult or couple to have their own space. We went to relax. If you go for fun, sun and surf this is a perfect place.

A Nice Week Despite the Rain

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice stay for ten family members. A bit crowded, but plenty of space to do indoor activities during the rains of storm Debbie. Bedrooms were great, but the beds a bit on the hard side. The lower level bedroom and kitchenette were quite private. Lower level needs a thermostat to control HVAC. The cooler air settles in the lower level making it chilly at times. Outdoor deck, hot tub, furnishings, shower and boardwalk to the beach were great. Outdoor lighting for nighttime activities was good. Kitchen had plenty of utensils, cooking wares, and cups/plates/bowls/glasses. Bathrooms were clean and functional. The laundry facilities featured very large capacity washer and dryer, plus and extra refrigerator for refrigerated items. The property is located on the beach, but close to shopping, many restaurants, and Outer Banks sight-seeing.

Wow!!!

This property exceeded our expectations. Perfect location. The amenities are wonderful. Lovely desk and hot tub overlooking a beautiful beach. The lower level has a separate suite with private entrance was perfect for adult children with significant other. I would definitely stay again

Great Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very nice! Well stocked and was very clean for us. The updates are very nice. Hot tub was great. The vacation rental company was ok, I think they could have been a bit more hospitable. We didn’t get a welcome email or welcome packet from them. Also the house was cleaned at 2pm and instead of letting us in we waited till 4pm. I think for the money paid we should be let in when the house is ready. Also there was a step missing on the way down to the beach. I would also recommend opening up the one area for parking. The railing upstairs is a bit wide and could be unsafe for children. Other than that things were great we would return again.

Best Time Out you'll ever take!

They are the best agency in the region, I have rented at Time Out for over 12 years because it's the most awesome house for the $ on the OBX! Right on the shore, your bedroom balcony gives the "on the beach" experience that is unmatched, same for the double slider open living room/deck area. Carolina Shores took over Time Out some years ago, and the house and services are always better than ever.
