Good location stayed 3 nights two seventy year olds and their adult grandson, could use some updates better furniture, one bedroom doorknob was broke some other doors don’t close completely. Served the purpose for what we needed.

Needs some Work

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Room and complex is in a great location. The room however, the furniture is old and uncomfortable, the beds are definitely not comfortable at all. AC didn't work, overall the room needs updated really bad. I know this is an old building, and it definitely could use some touchup.

Would not recommend

The property’s location is excellent. However there are several issues. The exterior looks like it needs a lot of comestic work. The building itself looks old. Inside the condo need repairs. There were scratch marks on the walls, screws falling out of vents, holes in the walls behind the tvs, dirty walls in the bathrooms, ceiling tiles in the bathrooms look like they are about to fall down, the furniture looks old and worn out, and heavy wear one the stools in the kitchen. The master bed was uncomfortable and hard as a rock. The pull out sofa was not made and we had to hunt sheets down that did not fit. The tvs are not smart tvs. You do get cable. The kitchen was to small to cook. The sink is a bar sink. Very small. The hot water in the shower is good for one shower. It ran out very quickly. The only good thing was the location.

Reviewer Comments: First there is no elevators, and the stairs are outside so that was a surprise. The room was clean but extremely outdated and run down. On top of that you only had a maximum of 10 minutes of hot water. My family of 5 had major issues showering. In 10 minutes it was ice cold and 45 minutes later it was still very very cold I had to wash my kids hair out in ice water and they were blue. The parking was a pain but at least it was available. The fold away bed was pretty uncomfortable as it was very worn and definitely needed to be replaced luckily my oldest child didn't seem to mind but I couldn't lay on it and my other 2 kids hated it as well.

Clean for the most part, hall bathroom tube was filthy, dirt in corners of rooms, couch and chair not comfortable, ceiling could use use some paint and repair, especially in bathrooms. If you're expecting high end this is not the condo. But it's location is Convenient to restaurants and entertainment area, small 2 bedroom good for what we needed. Would consider using again

Will not rent this unit again

Kitchen does not have any pans for baking, two of the stools have torn fabric, fabric on chair in den was torn on the arm (was listed as a recliner, was NOT, at least we were not able to make it recline), one lamp in each bedroom that was so dim it was difficult to read, one of the wash cloths had mold stains, closet door in 2nd bedroom hit the bed allowing it to open maybe 3 inches. Have rented other units that are far superior to this one for a less rate.

Convenient Mountain Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I recently brought my daughter and two young grandchildren to spend a week in unit 205. The check-in process was seemless as they e-mmailed the needed information. Parking was great, plentiful. This is my third time renting at this condo unit and price and location are the main reasons. You can't beat either! We had plenty of room for all four of us in the condo and it was efficient enough for what we needed. We did not cook any meals in the condo so I can't speak to that, but it has a full sized refrigerator, small electric stove, but no dishwasher. The kitchen had a couple of things that needed attention, like broken cupboard door hinges, and no stopper for the sink, which considering there's no dishwasher was a bit of a thing. And, the sink is incredibly small, to the point you could not lay a dinner plate in it, so tight quarters but again, it served us well enough. The unit needs some freshening up but each bedroom had its own tv, along with a tv in the living room, and the king bedroom was a great size with its own ensuite bathroom. The queen bedroom was compact but efficient and had a bathroom right outside in the hallway, so convenient. The stools for the kitchen table are in desperate need of recovering, and the living room furniture is tired. My grandkids thoroughly enjoyed their time in the heated indoor pool, although it too could use some love. The outdoor pool was too cold while we were there but my husband & I have used it in our past visits and it's relaxing. Overall, it's not a luxury unit but it is efficient. I would love for them to freshen it up a little and fix the minor issues it has but we were overall very happy with our stay considering the awesome location and decent cost.

Great location but probably won't be back

Reviewer Comments: We had stayed at Oak Square before, so we knew it wouldn't be fancy, but our condo this time (#205 2 bedroom) left a lot to be desired. All the mattresses were horrible. The toilet seat was broken. The toaster was broken. One of the tubs filed up with water when you tried to shower. Plus, the place just wasn't very clean. The pool heater was broken most of the time we were there, though they did get it fixed by the time we left. That said, the location was great. We could run on the Gatlinburg Trail just inside the National Park. We could walk anywhere in Gatlinburg.

Reviewer Comments: The condo was clean and spacious with a good location for walking. The fireplace was wood burning and no one told us we had to provide wood and none was provided for us. The master bath tub did not drain well and you had to stand in water while showering. We could not find any sheets for the sofa bed which we needed. One of the chairs is stained and looks bad it needs to be cleaned or replaced. We would stay again maybe in a different unit.

Great Location/Unit 205 needs updating

We loved the location of the condo and check in was super easy. The unit overall could definitely use some updates. Living room furniture was very old and dingy and had lots of stains. Beds in the bedrooms are in desperate need of replacing. Mattresses are very worn and the king sized bed makes a horrible noise any time you move. Flooring in the king bathroom was warped and flooring was coming up. We enjoyed are stay being close to everything but really would suggest some updates.

Ideal Location for our Gatlinburg Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was recently pleased to spend 6 nights at Oak Square unit 205. The location of this unit makes it an ideal location for a stay in Gatlinburg. It is just steps from Rt 441 and all the restaurants, shops, and attractions. Having a parking place in downtown at no additional cost is a huge plus. The price made it a good value and we would unhesitatingly stay there again. Although the kitchen is not equipped for gourmet cooking you will not have any trouble fixing breakfast or packing lunches. The unit was clean but could use a deep clean in some of the corners, nothing that made us uncomfortable. The furnishings and décor are a bit dated but overall I would rate it as a great place, location, and value in the Smoky Mountains.

Don't be deceived

Reviewer Comments: The coffee pot had mold in it, no one had ever removed the filters. All the cups, bowl etc were FILTHY with food and dried liquid. The lamps were caked with dust and torn. The air filters were filled with dust and had not been changed in AGES. The couch was worn and very dirty.The list goes on and on. I reserved 3 condos for business travel and ALL were in some state of disrepair and filth. We had friends in a 4th where the paint on the walls was peeling. The condo overall from the outside is dated and dirty. The property management company is impossible to contact and the cable went out at the facility day one, they finally fixed it on day 3. And.... the internet is SLOOOOOW.
