Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great trip and the room was very nice and clean. It was ready right as we got into town. I only have one issue. When I walked into the bedroom it smelled pretty bad. I think it may be the carpet. I sprayed the room with lysol and it made it tolerable. Everything else was great!!

It was nice, but....

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a nice, safe property, the pool was nice, and I liked the kitchen. However, we had two dishwasher pods, but no dishwasher. We only had one laundry detergent which isn't nearly enough for five people who have got back from the beach. We only had two toilet paper rolls, which, if we were guys, it might have worked, but we're women. Also, the deadbolt jammed twice, and we couldn't get it unlocked. Took a lot of shimmying. That needs to be looked into. We went to the pool on Friday night, and checked around the gate for any hours, and I pulled up my reservation information, didn't see any hours posted. A security guard came up and snapped at us, when I apologized saying I didn't see a sign, she said, "Well it closes at ten. Once it hits eleven, that's a sign to get out." There was no need to be so rude. Apart from that, it was a nice space. But there were a lot of small inconveniences that really do make a difference. It was super close to the beach, which was wonderful, though. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

Great stay!

Fantastic shower, very comfortable bed. Customer service was phenomenal, a couple minor problems were handled immediately and efficiently.

Do not stay at ARUBA BAY UNIT 104 or use PADRE ESCAPES

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Aruba Bay unit 104 was an absolute nightmare. I am very disappointed in this company's customer service. To leave us to stay in a roach infested room is disgusting. When I contacted them about the dirty floors and blood in the restroom then sent someone to clean, but I shouldn’t have even had this problem to begin with. Cleaning and sanitation should have been handled prior to our stay. After the cleaning I noticed TONS of baby roaches through the kitchen when I called and asked to be moved units I was told we were stuck in the unit but they would send someone over to spray for the roaches. Spraying did absolutely NOTHING. I sent multiple photos of the roaches both dead(because I sprayed them with raid that I PURCHASED) and alive and the only response I got was this was the HOA’s problem to remedy not the rental company. Which I find to be total lack of accountability. As the face of the HOA because Padre Escapes handles the rentals they should have helped in remedy the situation by finding us another unit comparable to what we had paid for. Instead they left my family to stay in deplorable conditions. We were unable to use the kitchen as we didn’t find it sanitary. In the bedroom there was also a huge nail sticking out of the bed frame which we found when I bumped into it getting onto the bed and scraped myself on. This vacation was the worst we have ever been on and do not recommend the company as they take no accountability for the rentals they are providing. Not helping or offering us another unit is horrible customer service. This unit was not fit to be reserved for guest to stay in.

Great use of space

Very very comfortable beds. AC was very cold. Great for after a long day on the water. Fit 4 adults comfortably and maybe 1 child. Twin bunks were large fits adults nice the couch pulled out but was small. 1 bath was a little hard for 5 adults but worked fine for us. Maybe a couple small suggestions would be some hooks in the bathroom to hang dry bath towels and a mirror in the bedrooms for girls doing hair and makeup so we are not rating up the bathroom.

Great Family Spot

We loved that it was a clean, fresh property that fit our family comfortably. The facility has great amenities. The communication from management was wonderful and the property was close enough to the beach for convenience, but out of the way enough for a quieter stay and more privacy.
