We had an excellent time on Lake Bellaire (and the surrounding lakes/rivers). The house was spacious, well-supplied & worked perfectly for our two families (4 adults, 4 kids ages 6-10). Had a couple of questions pop up along the way, but Debbie was extremely prompt to respond & very helpful. Additionally, the mooring ball was perfect for tying up the pontoon that we rented for the week (see note below though) & the amount of shallow water for swimming had our kids pretty much living in the water. All-in-all, an excellent trip & we wouldn't hesitate for a second to stay again! Thanks!
***Mooring Ball/Boat Securement PSA***
A note for any other boaters who may be reading this review...you'll want to be sure to tie up to the mooring ball AND also set an anchor off the stern of your pontoon to keep the boat from potentially swinging in to the dock if (when) the wind shifts. We checked the swing radius when we arrived with the pontoon and, while we would have cleared the neighbors dock by a few feet, we definitely would have hit Debbie's dock without an anchor being set. Don't let this discourage you from bringing a boat, as the connected waterways are amazing! Just be mindful that you'll need to use an anchor, in addition to the mooring ball.
