Newer house with modern style separate "mother-in-law" type apartment having private entrances. Set on 2.5 acres. Fenced lot. 1 car attached garage for guests. Open concept kitchen/living room area. 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Entire unit is approximately 1,500 sq. feet. Primary bedroom's bath has walk in jetted tub with separate shower, queen bed, Dish satellite system feeds 60" screen TV in the primary bedroom, living room has 65" curved OLED TV and a 32" flat screen TV in guest bedroom. Full guest room bath. Twin top and full bottom bunk bed with additional pull out twin trundle bed. Living room sofa/futon can be used as a twin bed. Kitchen has a double oven, dishwasher, large double door refrigerator, separate pull out cooling drawer, pull out freezer drawer and ice maker/ cold water dispenser. Large screened in attached porch opens to a gated fenced in-ground swimming pool that is constant kid-friendly 54 inches deep. Pool open late spring to early fall, weather permitting. Poll has a passive solar water heater. Only 5 minutes to Farmington with Starbucks, McDonalds, Wendy's Dairy Queen, Walmart Neighborhood Market and many other restaurants and amenities. Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas is only 10 minutes away. Crystal Bridges art museum, Walmart world headquarters, Amuseum children's museum within 15 miles. Numerous historical and tourist sites nearby. Excellent restaurants and eateries very close as well as in the area.

To provide you with the best stay possible, it is our policy to greet you when you arrive. We want to point out several ”quick start” items that should make your stay with us less stressful. If we are not able to greet you personally, we will try our best to have one of our adult family members take our place.

Because of previous experiences, we only allow a dog for a pet. Sorry, no cats allowed.

My family and I were in town for a family wedding. We considered reserving hotel rooms in Fayetteville but there was a football game that weekend and prices were high. These accommodations were very clean, spacious, well stocked, and affordable. The hosts met us upon our arrival and were responsive throughout our stay. They have put a lot of time into organizing the rental and it shows. Thank you, Rich and Carol!

The apartment was well equipped with all we needed for our stay. It was clean and the hosts were very friendly and available for questions or concerns. I loved the screened in porch where you could watch the roaming cows! I would definitely stay again.

Wow! I cannot say enough good things about this property and stay! The space was extremely spacious and clean. They really thought of everything that you would need and things to keep you occupied (games, books, interesting wall art). They had plenty of cooking utensils, instructions on how to use everything, and they even had provided coffee and teas along with some spices for cooking! The game room was amazing! We spent a lot of time in there, as there was a little bit of everything to enjoy. The pool was closed for the season during our stay, but the area was incredible along with the screened in porch. We can't wait to stay here again and use the pool as well. I highly recommend this stay if you're looking for an enjoyable and fun experience! The hosts were some of the nicest people and had great stories to share!

A Perfect Stay at Rich and Carol’s Vacation Rental!From the moment we arrived, everything about Rich and Carol’s place exceeded expectations. The listing was spot-on—every detail was accurate, from the layout to the amenities, and there were no surprises (except how much better it was in person!).The apartment itself was stunning. Immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and filled with natural light, it felt like a true home away from home. Every corner was thoughtfully arranged, and it was clear that Rich and Carol take great pride in maintaining a welcoming space.Speaking of Rich and Carol—they were the heart of the experience. Incredibly friendly, responsive, and genuinely accommodating, they made sure we had everything we needed and more. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay unforgettable.And the gameroom? A total blast! It was like stepping into a retro arcade dream. I felt like I was back in 1986 playing Pacman until I hit the high score (TWICE!). Not to mention they also have ping pong, pool, pop-a-shot and skeeball. It was the perfect mix of nostalgia and fun, and a huge highlight of our trip.If you're looking for a vacation rental that combines comfort, charm, and top-notch hosts, this is it. We really can’t wait to come back! And if you're in-town to visit an UArk student or attend a sporting event, it's a very convenient 15 minute drive, and for this space and these hosts, it's well worth it. Trust me.

The check in was very thorough and appreciated. Rich and Carol were excellent hosts and were readily available without being intrusive. They provided a lot of amenities and the place was beautiful. My favorite part was the pool! It was very relaxing after a muggy night watching some banana ball! It was like a 5 star hotel with a touch of home. Very restful

Layout was amazing and had everything you could need! Host went above and beyond with providing some essentials like coffee, tea, sugar, butter, dish soap, towels, shampoos, conditioner, body wash, extra blankets, and more (even band aids if you needed it), which was so convenient!! When we arrived Rich ensured we knew how everything works and even had a treat for our fur baby! They were amazing hosts! The swimming pool and gameroom were both a great hit! There were wasps by the front door that was terrifying for our kiddo - was stung by a wasp before - but other than that, we had a great stay!!

Perfect family spot

We stayed 5 days so my older daughter could check out U of A and we could do some other exploring. The location was close enough to the campus to be convenient, but far enough removed to not be as busy and felt more peaceful - especially when in the pool!The hosts greeted us upon our arrival even though it was late in the evening and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is clean, organized, and the hosts have been thoughtful about little things that might come up with what they have provided in the kitchen and bathrooms compared to other locations we've been to with bare cabinets, no toiletries or paper products, etc. Rich even put together some new pool toys for the kids, which we got a lot of use out of for our last couple days.

Wonderful!

Rich and Carol are incredibly gracious hosts. The layout was perfect for adults and teens to each have their own space. The pool offered a refreshing refuge after a long day. The unit was immaculate and well stocked. This is the one to book!

Weekend getaway

Rich and Carol are great host and very attentive. The property was more than what we had anticipated. It was a great place to hang out with our college age, daughter and her friends. The game room and pool kept us all happy. The kitchen was well stocked and made making meals easy. If by chance there wasn’t something there, Carol was on it and returned with the item request requested.

Fabulous place in the country

This place is wonderful! The location is fabulous and just 15 minutes from Fayetteville so super convenient. Plenty of great seating in the den, the bathrooms are awesome and the closets are big. The place was very clean upon our arrival. There are great instructions printed for everything in the house. Will definitely stay there again.

During our travels around the USA and in many international countries, we have stayed in many types of properties - from RV campsites to 5-star hotel rooms to economy level motels to our international families homes. Even the highest levels of retail properties seem to have less than warm feeling. We feel a home setting provides a more relaxing and peaceful environment providing a more restful accommodation. That's why when our mother-in-law apartment became vacant, we thought we could extend this option to others and provide this type of setting for travelers.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Farmington is a small town and has that similar feeling. Yet, we have all the "necessary" shopping here - and more. We like the peace and quite of our rural setting. We can see the stars at night and hear the sounds of nature. Yet, we are only 5 minutes from the local shops and only minutes from larger cities in Northwest Arkansas that have a wide variety of all the major stores and shops that will fulfill the desires for the vast majority of people.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We don't readily hear the small amount of traffic on our county road. We are set back about 300 feet from the road. The apartment is connected to our house just by a shared 3 car attached garage. It has a seperate main entrance as well as a separate entrance from the garage. There is a large attached screened in porch for the apartment with its own screen door to the fenced pool area. During the nice weather, we really enjoy sitting in the porch, BBQing and socializing without having to worry about disturbing only neighbor who is around 100 feet away - plus they are a great family.
