Welcome to Old Saybrook and Cornfield Point! It's time to relax. Our recently updated beach house has all the special touches that make it the perfect retreat for couples or families. Enjoy the private beach access just a short walk away, the spectacular Old Saybrook sunsets, and the friendly town ambiance. Our home “Shore Beats Work.”

The Space
“Shore Beats Work” was completely updated in 2022. Our home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, an outdoor shower, and a lovely patio. The new split AC units and ceiling fans will keep you cool after those hot days on the beach. It is fully furnished with linens, towels, shampoo and conditioner, making your packing easy and light! Our newly seeded backyard with privacy fence welcomes you to relax, unwind and grill. Bikes are provided to ride to the beach or to main street. Our home is cozy but has everything you need.

The Area

Cornfield Point
Cornfield Pont is a shoreline community in Old Saybrook. You are within walking distance (.3 miles) to the private association beach. The beach amenities include a boat ramp for non motorized vessels, showers, benches, and palm trees.

Old Saybrook and Beyond
Need a break from the beach? Head to Main St for local shopping, coffee, ice cream and fine dining. See a show at The Kate theater.

Old Saybrook is conveniently located near numerous attractions. Travel just a little further to Mystic and visit the Aquarium or Seaport. In Essex, you can ride the historic steam train or relax aboard the riverboat on the CT River. Want to try your luck at the casino? Head to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. Would rather go shopping? The Westbrook and Clinton Outlets are just a short drive away. Escape for the day to Newport, RI or board the New London ferry to Block Island. Our convenient location offers endless adventures for everyone rain or shine.

We loved our stay. The house was the perfect size and location for our family. The beach was so close by! The host was so helpful and easy to communicate with. The hosue was set up with everything you need. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

Son and nephew reported that it was the best VRBO rental they ever stayed at- thoughtful host had included everything their families needed to enjoy the beautiful house, beach and backyard. From the welcome basket with information about the area, to chalk for the kids, the host was very responsive, the house clean, and well laid out.

Lovely home and perfect location!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It's newly renovated throughout and the backyard space is great. The home was well equipped with everything we needed and the wonderful welcome basket was a nice surprise. I'd absolutely recommend this house and will stay there again when in the area!

Short But Wonderful StayI can't say enough about this rental. Beautifully decorated, immaculate home has everything you need. Location is great with only a short walk to the beach. Jenn is extremely attentive and wonderful to deal with should you have any questions. We will definitely be back. Five star property in every respect!

Wonderful long weekend stay in Old Saybrook

Jenn is an attentive host and her home is just lovely, with wonderful details throughout, which made for an exceptional stay. It was the first time visiting the area with friends and we found the house to be in a picturesque and friendly location with lots of things to do in the area, as well as very close to the water and beaches. Would highly recommend a stay at Jenn’s home in Old Saybrook!

Perfect week

This place is so great to stay at. Perfect space for a base of operations around Old Saybrook. You can walk to the beach, or a bit longer to downtown, and plenty of space if you just want to lounge around. We will be back!

Shore beats work visit

The property was even better than described.... Great location for anything in and around Old Saybrook.. Nice quiet neighborhood located close to beach. The property was beyond clean and well organized, Communications with host, check in, and property information were exceptional... We would highly recommend this property and gracious host!!!

Cute place with all the amenities!

Fully renovated cape with a cute beach vibe. Appreciated the attention to detail- we were 8 people, and there were 8 beach towels, full kitchen with whatever you need. The host was very personable and responsive. Would recommend it to others!

5 Stars — Wonderful Stay!

We had a fantastic stay at this home! The location was perfect close to everything we needed, yet quiet and peaceful. The house itself was spotless and well-maintained, with plenty of space to relax and unwind. The backyard was a great bonus, perfect for enjoying the nice weather.The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking, which made meals easy. The A/C was a lifesaver during those hot summer days, keeping the house comfortable the entire time.A special thank you to the host, who was incredibly helpful, responsive, and thoughtful. They even provided baby gates for the stairs, which made the stay so much easier for our family.Overall, a wonderful experience highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again

Exceptional Stay

The house is great. Really well maintained. Comfortable mattresses, high quality bedding, responsive host, quiet neighborhood. The one small drawback is that you have to cross a semi-busy road on the short walk to the beach. For those with older kids, no issue, but take some extra caution with little ones or inexperienced bike riders. Definitely check out Harvey’s Beach at low tide. The kids had a ball. There’s also a park and splash pad within a 5 minute drive that the kids really enjoyed. Beach is best enjoyed at low tide. Can get a little crowded at high tide due to the rising water/smaller beach.
