Wonder views/grounds

The place was perfect for my husband and I! It had everything we needed to make it seem like home. The view of the ocean from our lanai was breathtaking. If we ever visit Maui again, this is where we will be staying :)

Ocean Right at Your Doorstep

We loved our stay in the condo, it was comfortable and lovely to have the ocean right outside the door.

Great condo

My partner and I visited for 10 days mid/late April 2024 and had a great time. The location is perfect and within walking distance from many amenities. The property is very clean and had amazing views, with sea turtles stopping by daily. We'd definitely stay here again if making our way back to Maui.

Escape from pacific nw cold

This was our 2nd year staying at this Makani Sands ocean front condo. We absolutely loved it. The unit checks everything and the view is spectacular.

Wonderful experience in paradise

We have been going to Makani Sands for years and we just loved this unit. Right in front of the ocean, well equipped (they even had beach chairs and umbrella!) Very prompt help when there were wifi issues. Overall excellent experience.

Love to Maui

My husband and I were supposed to visit Maui and stay at this VRBO in September 2023, but when the Lahaina fire happened, we had to reschedule for 2024. We were so happy to be back on the island. The condo was wonderful, and we loved the location. Unfortunately we had to end our vacation early due to a family emergency back home, but we hope to be back again soon.

A perfect condo

We stayed for a week, this unit was nicely renovated kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, furnishing. The condo has tiles instead of carpet and that is a big plus for us. Being able to sit and watch the waves and have your coffee first thing in the morning was dreamy. We will be back.

Amazing Property!!

This condo spoiled us! It was steps away from the beach! Didn’t have to pack a cooler or beach bag. The property management company was super quick to reply back with answers to questions we may have had. We will be back!

Wow!

A great condo and a very sociable community. Swimming with the sea turtles that visited us every day was great. The equipment of the condo is also worth mentioning, as well as the management on the site. We would come back anytime. Mahalo!

Beautiful Maui!!

We had a fantastic time at Makani Sands. The condo was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The condo was well stocked with everything you would possibly need. The out doors was magnificent. The views of the water and neighbouring islands breath taking. The tiki torches at nigh just added to the ambiance. Can't wait until, we are able to come back. Truly a great location and condo.

Mahalo Makani Sands

Mahalo Makani Sands for providing a perfect home base during our Maui vacation. Situated on a private spot of beach between major vacation resorts and pointedly decorated inside & with toys for outside play, this vacation rental had it all. We could come and go as we pleased walking to most spots due to the condo's proximity and because of the amenities we ended up spending down time at the condo too! Our Maui vacation was tremendous. Nice, comfortable place

Good location and enjoyed being right on the water and watching continuous whale show from the deck. Great views of Molokai and Lanai and perfect place for happy hour sunsets. Very convenient to nearby restaurants, take-out, grocery stores and food truck park. Not very windy during our stay so we could get into water in front of condo. Swimming pool is between units and road - basic, shaded in afternoon. Good kitchen amenities.

Beautiful

We loved the location, the view ( whale and turtle sightings !) the AC and ice maker. My sister stayed in the same complex that week and their unit did not have AC. We snorkeled right outside, steps away, and at night we sat outside listening to the waves. We will be back!

Fantastic ocean views and sunsets

Unit is very updated and clean. The building is older. Location is great. Short walk or drive to take out and supermarket. Only disappointment is that the “beach” is almost gone. Very little sand left to walk. Upside is that it is shallow and reefs are quite visible, which means you have a high probability of seeing sea turtles roaming around.
