Note: Children should never be left unattended near the river. The Arkansas River runs swiftly during spring runoff. Life jackets (PFDs) are strongly recommended for all guests and pets entering the water.

Pet Friendly: Up to two dogs allowed with prior approval, acknowledgment of our pet agreement, and a $100 non-refundable fee per stay.

Family Friendly: Booster seat, pack-and-play, and full-size crib provided.

Essentials Included: All of our homes at Central Colorado Getaways include- Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, dish soap, trash bags, coffee, coffee filters, towels, and linens. Gas grill (propane provided)

LOCAL ADVENTURES

This section of the Arkansas River—known as the Milk Run—offers gentle water both upstream and downstream, ideal for beginners.

Float from Johnson’s Village (1.5–2 hours) or launch from the property for a short, scenic trip to Ruby Mountain Campground (about 1 hour).

For guided whitewater trips, River Runners is located just across the street with half- and full-day excursions through Brown’s Canyon National Monument and beyond to Salida.
