Yo, Tú y el Mar ... si esa es su definición del Folly Beach perfecto entonces el Chill Shack es el uno para usted.

La más pequeña de nuestras chozas, Chill Shack es también el más acogedor ... y algunos podrían argumentar el más encantador y romántico también. Hay un montón de espacio para dos personas con la cama de matrimonio. 2 latidos máximo.

El Chill Shack está situado justo en el centro de toda la acción Rathershack. Al igual que las otras chozas, que son sólo un corto paseo de la playa, pero también puede sentarse fuera de su cabaña y tomar el sol en su patio cercado privado.

We had an excellent stay at the Chill Shack! This was the absolute perfect beach get away with an ideal location! The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Although the air conditioning was not working properly during our stay, the host was incredibly attentive and quick to get someone there to fix the problem. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!! We look forward to coming back in the future!

Perfect Honeymoon Spot!

We loved the quick walk to the beach, the hospitality from the owners (and neighbors!), and being able to walk to all the restaurants and shops. We are already planning our next stay at the Rathershacks.

The location of this property was key because of its proximity to the beach! Within steps to the beach. Great manicured yard with outside shower. The inside of the cozy costal home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again!

Nice little getaway for my sons first vacation as adult

My son and his girlfriend went for their first vacation getaway together. He said it was very nice and clean and they were able to check in early which was amazing! Good location to walk to all the restaurants and beaches. Overall he had a great time and made great memories!

Simply Amazing!

We were in town for a wedding and found this gem in our search for a place to stay. This place is amazing - from the attention to detail inside that catered to anything & everything you need. The amenities were amazing and the property was just gorgeous and flawless. Proximity to the beach is perfect and just navigating around on the island. I can’t say enough about the place - it really felt like a home away from home. We will definitely be back again! Thanks so much, Katt!

Great spot on Folly Beach

In town for a wedding. Property well maintained. A short 1 block walk to beach, 2-3 blocks to all the shops and restaurants and ~25 min drive to downtown Charleston.

Better then Advertised!

Everything about the Chillshack was perfect. Lives much bigger then it looks and is just a few short minutes from the beach and downtown. We had a great stay and Katherine and Sam were wonderful. Can't wait to come back.

Outstanding Accomodations

The check-in process was excellent along with a video showing exactly how to get into the unit. When my wife and I open the door and stepped in, we could not believe our eyes and how beautiful this place was. Completely remodeled and had everything you needed to enjoy your stay at Folly. The owner was nothing but accommodating and answered any questions we had. Very friendly and informative of the area. I will go back for sure to stay at this rental.

Great location and amazing hosts!!

The one bedroom at Folly Beach is exactly has listed. Very clean, quiet, great location near all the restaurants and stores at Folley. The hosts are wonderful people always ready to answer any questions, always smiling. My only complaint is that one week was too short and next time I plan to stay at least two weeks!! Great "home base" for any Charleston-area visit

This was the perfect place for my partner and I to crash each night after visiting friends in Charleston and exploring Folly Beach during Thanksgiving week. It's spotless, well-maintained, and provides just enough space for a couple to relax in a charming beach-cottage environment. (The beach really is less than a minute away from your door, which is very nice.) Katherine and Sam are the perfect hosts--they live right there so they are available if you need them, but they're good about giving you all of the space and downtime you might need to unwind. (Make sure to get dining recommendations from them, though--they're spot on!) We had a wonderful visit and will definitely try to return soon!

Another Perfect Stay at the Chill Shack!

My husband and I have stayed at the Chill Shack over the past few summers, and I can’t possibly say enough good things about the RatherShacks and Kat & Sam! The recent refresh of the Chill Shack decor is absolutely gorgeous. As always, the space was impeccably clean and spotless when I arrived with plenty of fluffy bath towels and comfy bedding/pillows in the bedroom. The check in process was a breeze and it’s so nice knowing that Kat & Sam are always nearby with a helpful hand should you have any questions or concerns. They are always extremely kind and very easy to get ahold of should you need anything. Between the lovely accommodations, wonderful hosts, and having the beach and the best that Folly has to offer just mere moments away, you can’t go wrong! Thank you for another perfect vacation!

The perfect beach escape!

We visited Folly Beach over 4th of July and our ChillShack rental could not have been more perfect. Check-in was a breeze, the size of the rental is perfect for two people, and the rental had everything we needed for a great week at the beach. We loved that the unit had a grill, an outside shower, drying racks to hang our wet towels, and that beach chairs were provided. (Seriously, the beach chairs were crucial!) The location of this house is absolutely perfect - it's far enough away from Center Street that you avoid a lot of the traffic and noise, but still close enough that you can walk to Center Street for drinks and dinner. It's also so close to the beach - walking to the beach with our chairs, bags, and cooler was incredibly easy. We rented bikes (from Folly Beach Adventures) for the week and rode them everywhere; the only time we hopped in the car was to run to the grocery store mid-week. We also booked a dolphin tour through Tideline Tours - highly recommend this tour! We saw 20+ dolphins throughout the tour and collected some beautiful seashells on Morris Island. It was the highlight of our trip. We think Loggerheads has the best drinks, The Lost Dog has the best breakfast, and we never had a bad meal at Rita's. We will definitely be back and would love to rent this unit again if we can! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful beach getaway.

Absolutely Wonderful!

I apologize to the owners of this property for the delay in this review - I was busy packing to move into their apartment...:-) All joking aside, this was probably the most wonderful rental I've ever had. And would be so for any other single person or couple. Small, but so well laid out and decorated that it never felt cramped.. I'm normally outside every moment I can be but I found myself very content to be curled up on the sofa with my coffee and a book in the morning or watching TV in the evening. High ceilings, open, light and bright, incredibly clean, furnished with all you need but not cluttered with excess. Less than a half mile from the center of town but in a quiet residential area, with a secluded yard at your doorstep. Turn left out of the driveway for a few steps, cross the block and then one quiet street and there's your beautiful beach access. Plant a chair and read. Go shelling. Enjoy the lovely warm surf -I was there mid-September and the water temp was 80. Mosey down towards the pier, select from several restaurants, and have any of a huge variety of local beers and something amazing like Chico Feo's incredible tacos.. Folly Beach doesn't have a boardwalk or an enormous amount of shops. It has just enough. And it's minutes away from that gem of the south, Charleston, S C. The owners live just across the street, and Katherine and her husband are lovely people and are instantly responsive. I got to see another one of their several properties - it is even more beautiful and it's clear that there's a very high standard held to in their rentals. I hated to leave. And I can't wait to go back.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! It was clean and the perfect size and location to be able to walk to everything! Check in was simple and beach access was so close it was perfect! Our first time to Folly Beach but definitely not our last. We loved eating our breakfast on the front porch!

Cozy Beach Cottage

The cottage has been renovated and was even nicer than we expected from the pictures. It's a block from the beach and 3 blocks from the center of town. We walked everywhere. So close to Bert's market where we picked up everything from steaks for the grill to a nice bottle of red wine to have with them. The ice cream is really good to. We loved the beach, not too crowded and the water was so warm! Sam and Katt were a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back!

Cozy Place to Chill Out

This was a cozy place to chill out close to the beach. While it is small, it has all the ammenities I was looking for including a grill, a comfy coutch, excellent shower, and well stocked kitchen.

We met in the cold Granite State of New Hampshire, fell in love, sold our houses, threw away the snowshovels, and bought us a perfect shack in paradise. After we fixed her up... you now have the Rathershack in all its glory waiting for you to come and add the next chapter. We thank you in advance for helping us live our dream. We live on site so feel free to stop in for a cold one or advice on where to go hide out, or step out and kick up your dancin shoes. The sign over our door says PARTYville, but more often than not we flip it over so it reads NAPville. Sometimes one leads to the other. You know the drill........

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

All bars on Folly Beach are within walking distance. Plus the house was pink...and we decided to keep the color.We named it the RATHERSHACK because you'd rather be here than anyplace else in the world. We are 'second row' from the beach - which means a 45 second walk for you slow pokes, or 30 seconds for the average beach bum. The cottage we are advertising and scheduling here is the 1 BR bath, this one is called the ChillShack. Lots of charm and beach feel decor at no extra charge as this unit has all new beach-style furnishings, flooring, paint, new roof, and new air conditioning. All cottages have open floor plans for casual gatherings after your day at the beach. This Unit has a fully stocked kitchen utensils etc with microwave and dishwasher. The 1 BR features a large master with a queen bed, plenty of changing room. Super clean no allergens pet dander etc as we do not allow pets. Units have cable TV and WIFI. Off Street parking for 1 vehicles included. . Gas grill on site available for you grill masters out there. Riding bikes is one of our favorite things to do around around here, and look at all the sugar shacks, moderate homes, and homemade fishing piers plopped right next to the occasional McMansion. Architectural variety on every block. Folly Beach makes no judgment on who you are or where you come from...just bring your flip flops and come as you are.
