Lots of room

6 of us enjoyed our stay with a room for each couple. Areas for all to do different things. TV, games, outdoor seating and the pool and spa was used by all. We would stay there again.

Relaxing stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay on Jekyll, the house was comfortable, clean and had plenty of room.Only issue was with the stovetop but the managers were very responsive and had someone out to fix it same day. We enjoyed Mosaic, the historic tour and mini golf while we were there. Also made multiple visits to Horton's Pond to visit the gator (we only saw one but saw her on several trips) as well as trips to various beaches and the pier on Jekyll and the light house on St. Simons. We really enjoyed dinner at Zachary's and would definitely recommend and go back. If you are hungry Old Times Buffet in Brunswick was excellent. We would recommend both the house and the island for a good getaway.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were not pleased with our experience. The primary reason we chose this house was for the pool. The pool and pool area were dirty and dated. There was even broken glass in the pool area. The heat for the pool cannot be adjusted and was almost too cold to use. Overall, the house is also very dated. The appliances are extremely old. Pots, pans, and kitchen utensils were very lacking. Many things did not work or did not work well. We come to Jekyll Island every year and have had a good experience with Jekyll Realty. Unfortunately though, we will not be staying in this house again.

Beautiful place, no the best service

We as a family has stayed in different VRBO properties, so far this time wasn’t the great. The day of checking I asked about instructions, it took over an hour to answered me back, I missed the phone call and they left a mssg with instructions (when we left, we left the property as the instructions given to us). One of the master bathroom had the toilet clogged, I reported early in the morning, they said that 9 am someone will be at the property when I called the listing agent office, no one went to the property. In the afternoon the guest bathroom was clogged too, my husband called at night, they sent someone at 9 am the next morning, he was able to unclog the guest bathroom, no the master bathroom. Jekyll Really never reached us back about this situation or offered any discount for expending three nights without being able to use the master bathroom toilet. The covered pool was not in the best condition, now I understand why in the photos was covered. Rent as your own risk.

Memories Shattered

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really wanted to get a great review but our memories of Angel Wing/Pelican where shattered and almost a nightmare. We have stayed at Angle Wing/Pelican Post several times. Should have know better once the name change things would be drastically different. The home being mid-century is a lot of its charm and then there is that what use to be fantastic pool. The times we were there before the home was very clean this time very lacking and we had to clean everything we used. The pool is a big thing for our stay. We stay there and pay the big price for the pool. The pool was so cold we could not get in it without breaking our teeth from shivering. We swim in a gym pool year round and this one was nowhere heated even for doing laps which no one on vacation would be doing. The filter was on in the morning, maybe Ok for summer but really should be running in the evening. The hot tub was too very cold and was a ice tub instead of a hot tub. The property has been let go since the old owner Mr Rosen owned it. The pool has really be left go and if they don't do something it will become a major disaster. We phone the rental company and complained about the pool and said send out a maintenance person which in essence said too bad that is a know issue with the pool. The price of the home and all the junk fees was not worth it. The amount you are paying to clean the place we think you are getting ripped of so we are totally getting ripped of. We have been repeat clients of Jekyll Reality and very disappointed with the way they are running things now. Oh, our beloved Angle Wing has this wings tarnished and tattered and can see now it was renamed to Pelican Post for not pleasant at all.
