Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The houses here are always homey and very clean. I enjoyed this stay very much! So close to the beach and the other houses our family rented. The only thing wrong with one of the rooms was the master bedroom door wouldn’t close all the way and we had our baby in that room so it was slightly inconvenient. I’m sure the realtors would’ve come to fix it but we just put a shoe behind the door and the hallway door was closed so no sound would interfere. A wonderful place to stay! Worth the money every time :)

Warning- you won’t want to leave!

We had a great time with our family of 6 (kids 9-17yo). The furniture and beds were comfy and it was really clean. House is a quick walk (4ish houses down) on a quiet neighborhood street. The beach is beautifully lined with a rock wall and greenery instead of houses. Oversized washer was a big convenience. The Jekyll room was big enough to host friends on a rainy day. As an added bonus- Lots of deer were spotted!

The cottage was perfect for our family! We enjoy the location, as it was a quick walk or bike ride to everything! The screened-in porch/ patio was so nice to have with the additional space it gave us. The only issue, was that when it rained, the carpets in this porch/patio became very wet and musty. Jekyll Realty came out quickly to take care of the water. Overall, we had a great week!

'60's charm - and more

Photos and description in listing were accurate - no surprises. The place was spotless and the kitchen was very well equipped. Warm, cozy, private and secluded - we saw deer in the yard every evening. Large Jekyll room was very bright and airy and had a really nice sofa. Very short walk to beach access on Barron Lane. Would stay here again in a minute!

Bright beach cottage

The cottage was beautiful, well appointed and nicely maintained. One block easy walk to the beach. Large, open sunroom. There were an abundance of flora and large oak trees surrounding the home. Deer were seen daily from the sunroom and could see dolphins at sunrise from the beach. Highly recommend!

January 2024 Stay

Our 23rd year of vacationing on Jekyll Island and first time at this house, the Beachwalk. The owners have thought of everything you need, down to nightlights in the bathrooms. Grab bars in the showers are handy for those of us older people, a safety plus! Kitchen is lovely, stove with all the newer features such as a convection oven. I was happy to see a Kerig and a crockpot, 2 appliances I use so much at home. There was also a regular coffee maker for those needing to make a larger quantity. Plenty of silverware and utensils too, and the plates/dishes were lovely. The only thing I was disappointed with was the sunporch, which was not heated, so when staying in the winter, it's not likely to be warm enough to enjoy. It looked newly furnished with lovely sofas and a huge table for eating or playing games. All in all, this house is perfect for a family with children and perfect for the "older" crowd! We'll be back!!

A very short 1 minute walk and you're on the beach. The house was well maintained, equipped and clean. Especially appreciated the credit given for renting beach equipment, we chose bikes as you can't come to Jekyll Island and not enjoy all the miles of bike paths. Everything added up to an excellent stay and vacation. Highly recommended.

Dream Vacation!

I have been many beach vacations and nothing ever seems to fit our specific needs but this was exactly perfect! Close enough to the beach that I felt comfortable with my kids riding their bikes to the beach which was great! Loved having a pool so close to the beach so we could easily walk back and forth from the beach to the pool. The house was just perfect! Loved the screened in area for hanging out and eating. We had deer hanging our near the house and the kids loved it. We will definitely be coming back again! Thank you

Great place from which to enjoy Jekyll Island

The location is very nice - between the commercial area and Driftwood Beach. The home is well maintained and had everything we needed. It was very clean - felt no sand inside under foot. No negatives here - it is what it is though - a very well maintained older home. Perfect for a get away to enjoy the beach, sea turtle hospital, old town district, etc.

I love Jekyll

I loved that even though your information said the property would be ready at 4, it was ready earlier and you took the keys to the property and gave me call letting me know all was ready, keys were in the house and I could go straight there instaed of stopping to check in. We did not get to spend much time there but I qas thankful for the games you had available, as well. We played the trivia game every night. Jekyll is my favorite island to visit. Thank you!
