The host was inattentive, unprofessional, neglectful, and failed to respect her word of honor when offering a partial refund in writing via VRBO communications. The partial refund was primarily requested due to the poorly maintained facilities in the rental condo and the failing water heater that took 3 days to repair, failing toilet which would not operate adequately and thus could not be used, and a stove-top and refrigerator that were in very poor conditions that directly impacted use of the kitchen for daily cooking and storage of food. Lastly, the video and photos included in the rental condo advertisement in VRBO clearly show the availability of a clothes washer for rental occupants which implied use of the appliance by rental occupants. The condo owner did not allow for use of the clothes washer and pointed out that it was not included as a listed amenity. However, renters default to photos and videos when making a decision to rent a property for their very important and well though out family vacations.
