The location was perfect. The house was very comfortable. We enjoyed our family meals around the large kitchen table. In-between beach time, we lounged on the patio furniture enjoying the ocean breeze.The rocking chairs on the front porch were a favorite place to sit watching the ocean and sunsets.The outside shower is great.

Excellent views!! Great location right up front...beach! We loved the classic beach cottage. Everything we needed was there. Plenty of room for our family. Extra bonus space under the house for cooling off or rainy days! Beds were comfortable, great sleeps! Great front porch with plenty of rockers! Very clean on arrival

First time stay at Crowd Inn

Loved our first stay at Crowd Inn. Old school with wood floors, walls & ceilings. Exactly as described in the listing. The whole family loved the house, location to the beach, to the bridge, very quiet and peaceful. Everyone got plenty of rest. The kitchen was stocked with extras that made life easier. The ocean view was amazing. Outside shower was the great! Washer/dryer room was great, fully stocked with plenty of extras and clearly labeled, beach chairs, sand toys, etc… Ran into a snag with the AC but Warren jumped right on it and had it resolved by next morning. We didn’t want to leave. Until next time…

We love Crowd Inn! We have vacationed at Holden Beach for 40 years and must say that this older home was one of the best we’ve stayed in. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more, the living room had plenty of comfortable seating and dining room table was perfect for family meals, game playing and puzzle building. A fun surprise was the closet full of games and puzzles which our grandchildren enjoyed and in the utility room downstairs were plenty of beach toys, chairs, and boogie boards. On the porch are seven comfy rocking chairs and a porch swing where we had our morning coffee and watched for dolphins. Comparing staying at the west and east ends of the island, I have to say I so enjoyed the peace and quiet of the east end. Warren was very attentive to us and even checked in on an evening we had a tornado warning. We most definitely would stay here again and are dreaming of next year.

Perfect beach escape!

This beach house was the ideal spot for our family vacation. The location was unbeatable, just steps from the sand, and a quick drive from restaurants and other shops just past the bridge. The owner was fantastic with communication, providing all the details we needed for a smooth stay. We had a blast playing the games provided, and the kitchen was well-equipped for all our meals. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy the beach!

Lovely Beach House

We had a wonderful family beach trip at Crowd Inn. We wanted to stay in a classic Holden Beach cottage and the house delivered. Everything is so well organized and we found everything we needed. Very cozy and quaint. Warren the host was in regular email communication to make sure we had everything we needed.

Renting this property was a breeze. Owner kept good contact. Even let me know spectrum had an internet outage and when it would be restored. I would recommend this property .

Great Location!

This property is exactly as promised! Great view from the front porch and proximity to the beach is fantastic. Part of our week was very hot, so we loved having the covered porch to sit and enjoy the beach without being out in the hot sun.The house is cozy, clean, and we enjoyed the new seating area under the house. We stayed here with our sons and nephews—eight adults total, and had a wonderful time. We loved that we communicated directly with the owner and had no issues at all. We will definitely be back to the Crowd Inn!

Charming beach house

We had a great vacation at the Crowd Inn. Clean house with lots of amenities. This place is very family friendly: pack-and play, high chair, lots of bath towels and beach towels, utility room downstairs with a washer and dryer and full of beach chairs/ toys. A small inconvenience is the bathroom only has a shower-no tub. I bought a small baby pool to put in the shower for my little one who is not big enough for a shower and it worked just fine. We hope to be back next year!!

very pleasant

Love the location. Nice quiet street great for smaller kids to ride bikes. Lovely porch to watch sunrise and sunset. Loved the outdoor shower. Inside I'd like to call it antique. The "cot" at the end of the hallway was much better than I had anticipated. I felt like it was more of a tiny bedroom and very cute.

old beach house with great views& location

if you want an old fashioned beach house with great views and location, this is the house. With Windows on all sides, we almost never run the air conditioning and take advantage of the constant breezes. It feels like you are staying at a friends home rather than a rental unit. (Loving, aged decorations rather than sparse) There is a narrow access road & dune between the house and the ocean. Because of this it isn't "oceanfront" yet it is right in front of the ocean. If you have little kids, this is an easy place to go back and forth for naps, restroom, lunch, or a break from the sun. The owners keep lots of chairs, sand toys, games for kids. There is a washer/dryer too. The outdoor grill requires charcoal and isn't the cleanest (plan on lots of tin foil) but does the job. The small but fully functional kitchen is perfect for pulling together meals which are easily served at the adjacent large dining table. The bathrooms are very small and the one internal shower is questionable but the outdoor shower is enclosed, perfect and roomy. We haven't showered inside but once. The internal set up is a little odd but if you have a family of 5 or 6 this still works out just fine. The best thing about this house is the ocean views while sitting on the hanging swing. Pelicans fly right in front of the porch. The dune blocks the view of sunbathers but not the vast ocean. It's a gem.

Wonderful!

The best thing about this house is the LoCaTiOn!!! It’s oceanfront with a little gravel drive and the walk to the beach access is absolutely nothing. Just a few steps. The house takes you back in time. It’s humble and sweet. The owners were amazing. Communication was great! They worked with us very well! I would love to come back! We want two weeks next year. My only complaint was that 1 week just wasn’t long enough!!!!

Amazing location

Our family has been to Holden Beach several times and love the family atmosphere of the area. This property has a great location and view of the ocean. The house is a short walk across the private road to the beach. My husband and I loved spending time on the porch, watching the ocean. Our children loved the games, puzzles, and toys that were there. The outdoor shower had hot and cold water. There was a Brita water dispenser in the refrigerator, which was an awesome plus for my family since we love drinking water. The beds were comfortable and the area was very quiet. Checking in and out was very simple. We would definitely want to stay at the Clayton Inn again.

A cozy home away from home

The house was amazingly clean ... kitchen was well stocked with dishes, spices, glasses, utensils, etc. Closets and shelves filled with games and books, two TVs, beachy touches throughout the house, including books to help us identify the many shells we found each day. LOVED sitting on the porch and just watching the ocean, and enjoyed the quick and easy access to the beach. Received lots of helpful information from the owner before our visit. Had some problems with the AC but owner quickly arranged for a local HVAC company to come fix them. The two bathrooms are a little claustrophobic and there is no bathtub ... but the shower is super-nice and shelves have been added for storage of your own personal toiletries, makeup, etc. Overall, a great beach vacation home ... all the homey touches made it feel like we were staying at the home of a friend or family member!

Crowd Inn is Awesome!

Fantastic beach cottage with everything you need and easy access to the sand! The front porch has a great view and is just right for meals, reading, or simply enjoying the sound of the waves. Crowd Inn has modern appliances and two bathrooms, one with a nice shower - and very clean. There are plenty of newer power-strips in the rooms for devices and the Wifi is about 30Mbps and very reliable. The sand-shower on the ground level is enclosed with hot-and-cold water which is perfect when you come off the beach. The utility room locks - we temporarily stored our Yakima Skybox there so that we could park under the home and out of the sun. The living area has very nice furniture and a great flatpanel TV and Bluray player - great for entertainment late-evening or if it rains! You won't be disappointed!

Love ambience and the warmth of the knotty pine finish!

This property was perfect for my friends and I. It was extremely well stocked with all that was needed and that includes the spice cabinet, it was the best stocked of any rental vacation property I have seen! The wrap around porch with rocking chairs and swing is PERFECT for enjoying the southern exposure and even in mid to late November, the porch was toasty warm and we spent HOURS, on the porch and loved looking out directly over the ocean. And the SUNSETS WERE SPECTACULAR! I have no problem stating that the property was perfect and my guests could not have been any more thrilled to be there. I cannot wait to go back!

Loved Our Stay at Crowd Inn

Crowd Inn was exactly what we hoped it would be. It was a quiet, enjoyable house just off the beach. Very convenient for spending a day next to the ocean, as you can easily head back for lunch, a phone call or simply to take a break from the heat. The porch is wonderful with outstanding oceanfront views. One of our favorite parts of our vacation was early morning coffee from the porch as we watched the waves roll in. There are also plenty of games and puzzles to enjoy in the evenings or when it rains. The owner was super friendly and helpful whenever we had a question. All in all, we had a great time filled with lasting memories and would definitely return.
