Dele a su familia los recuerdos de unas vacaciones en el océano en esta tranquila, relajante y encantadora casa de campo costera junto al mar. Bonita playa amplia, incluso en marea alta!

La casa está situada en el extremo oeste de la isla, donde es menos gente y mucho más privado. Hay poco tráfico en las carreteras a diferencia del tráfico de alta velocidad hacia el Este.

PASEO POR LA PLAYA: No hay absolutamente "pasos" en el "Paseo a la playa" ... esto hace que caminar sea más seguro para los niños pequeños y los ancianos. Los únicos pasos son los 5 pasos desde la cubierta principal (cubierta) desde la casa hasta la cubierta solar ... antes de que comience la pasarela.
• Ocupación máxima: (8). (Con no más de 6 adultos ... mayores de 18 años).

¡PLAYA INCREÍBLE en esta ubicación ideal en particular! No hay nada como esta zona de playa en Holden Beach ... no se trata de una sección de milla de la mitad en Holden Beach, donde la playa es amplia y un montón de playa (arena) con la marea alta! Todo este de nuestro tramo de playa tiene muy pequeña sala de estar en la playa durante la marea alta. Todo West de este tramo de playa es un paseo muy largo desde la casa hasta la arena.


CASA INTERIOR: Open piso de planta en la zona de estar y dormitorios muy grandes, más una sala de TV / dom adicional .... da un montón de espacio para su familia grande para extenderse.

El Patio: Disfrute de la verdadera naturaleza de la costa en este tranquilo, ubicación frente al mar tranquilo, rodeado de plantas costeras naturales y árboles maduros.

We had an awesome stay at Holden Beach in Don’s oceanfront house! It was very clean and comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked. The location was private and the view was beautiful from the back deck! We are hoping to be able to stay here again and again.

This is our second time staying at this house and it has become our favorite beach destination. It has everything we want for a relaxing and enjoyable week at the beach. It was very clean and organized as before. The location is awesome. Things we love are the covered and private poarch facing the ocean, enclosed garage, fully stocked and large kitchen, very wide beach even at high tide, safe location, not crowded beach, very fast internet, bbq grill. The communication with the owner, Don, was excellent. We are looking forward to staying again soon.

Wonderful property! We LOVED it here!! Very comfortable and relaxing place on the beach. Perfect and quiet location! The house was immaculately clean, comfortable beds, nicely decorated, well-equipped kitchen and in a quiet neighborhood! The property owner was great to work with, fast response and super helpful. The beach was beautiful, a true Island getaway off the grid, surrounded by Island nature. We spent a lot of time sitting on the beautiful deck, with such a peaceful view, while enjoying the sea breeze. The sunrises/sunsets were amazing. I wish I could drink my coffee on that oceanfront porch every morning. Everything was wonderful. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer, but we absolutely plan to come back. Thanks for a wonderful week of family fun and memories!

The positives. Excellent location. Inexpensive compared to most beachfront properties on this beach. Very clean and dry. All appliances work. It's a comfortable amount of space for a family of four. One unexpected benefit: tupperware!The drawbacks: the house is old and in need of updates. The furniture is old. The glass top to a table that was broken 2 years ago when I stayed here remains broken now. Beauty was not considered when putting together this house. The ceiling fans, the light fixtures, the fluorescent lights, the furniture--nothing is nice to look at, but as noted, it's all functional. The owner is in touch too often. The worst part of this house are the signs posted by the host. The signs in this place yell at you. They scold you for things that past guests have done. You walk into the house, all excited about your beach vacation, and are immediately confronted with signs posted everywhere that YELL IN ALL CAPS (also red, bold, underlined, with exclamation marks) about what not to do, and how disrespectful and disappointing it is when guests do x, y, and z. The impact is that the smile slips from your face and suddenly instead of being happy and excited, you're both angry (because you got yelled at for things you didn't do) and anxious (because this place has many rules, and you'll be in trouble if you break them). This feeling stayed with me the whole time we were there. I could not relax.

House and beach were very nice. Property was clean, relatively updated, and we made use of provided beach chairs and toys. Word of caution: We found a couple of grass burrs stuck in the carpet in various rooms. My daughter and I went outside to play volleyball without shoes on and immediately had multiple burrs stuck in our feet. So just a word of warning to wear shoes at all times.

Love this place

We have been coming here for several years now and we always enjoy our time here! The owner is easy to communicate with, takes care of the property. The house is clean and is maintained well. Everything is updated as needed and very comfortable. We cannot wait to return!

Holden Beach Vacation

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach house. There were many things we loved about the property. The house was exceptionally clean and organized. We loved the privacy that the trees provided from the neighboring houses. A garage to keep the car in was a big plus. The beach is very wide even at high tide and is not crowded at all. A new bbq grill was provided and we used it several times. The property manager, Don, made sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need. Looking forward to staying again in the future. Easily a 10 star experience.

Great Getaway

We enjoyed our 2nd stay at Don’s perfect Beach house. Loved the spectacular views with long walks on the beach. Saw dolphins the first day and deer at dusk walking in the dunes. Will definitely be back again.

Enjoyed the stay!

Overall we enjoyed this vacation home. The owner seems to genuinely want guests to have an enjoyable stay and was responsive to questions. The walkway to the ocean is great. We pulled our seats and things in a wagon to the dune where the walkway stopped, unloading/setting up on beach spot from there. And this made packing up was easy at the end of the day. The inside stairs are steep so just something to be aware of if you will have elderly or anyone with mobility challenges on your trip. The outside steps in back are not as steep (not a straight/single run). The outside shower was great!. My teen daughter was especially glad for the Volleyball/badminton net! Our week was basically sandwiched between two hurricanes but got lucky with lovely weather!

This home was super clean and super cozy with easy private access to the beach. We loved the spacious living area, huge front windows and porch, and especially the outdoor shower. Good stay and good memories!

This is an older home, not fancy but really quite beautiful. If you're looking for a nice quiet vacation and a beautiful uncrowded beach this is it. Owner was great as we navigated through tropical storm debbie.

Great location right on the beach!

We had a great stay at Don's house! It's located right on the beach, right before the gated section of Holden Island, so there's not much traffic in front of the house. We enjoyed the easy boardwalk to the beach, although the climb up the dunes to get to the boardwalk was difficult, especially pulling a cart. If you have an older family member in your party, you should keep this in mind. The kids loved looking at the rabbits that lived under the boardwalk; the location feels very remote compared to other, more populated areas of the island. The beach in front of the house is fairly narrow, especially at high tide, but we found we actually preferred this -- less distance to lug beach gear. While the house is a little outdated decor-wise, the kitchen is well-stocked and the layout was great for two families. There is a primary suite with king bed and another bedroom with a queen bed upstairs. Keep in mind that the second bedroom shares its bathroom with the upstairs of the house. Downstairs is one bedroom with a queen bed, and another with a queen and a full. The sunroom was also a nice place to get away, or send the kids to watch a movie. Note that the TV in the main living room doesn't have streaming capabilities. It does have a cable box with a good selection. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next summer!

Amazing Ocean View from a Shaded Porch

Our family of multiple age groups truly enjoyed our vacation on Holden Beach. The home was very clean, has an open living-dining-kitchen area which made it seem very spacious. This home has been maintained as well as updated to meet the changing needs of families. The kitchen is well appointed and had all the necessary items we needed. There are 2 large dining tables for families to have meals or game night. The beach has easy access with a beautiful deck for sunning. There was space for a portable kiddie pool and a shaded areas on the porch. There is a garage for one car and at least 3 additional cars. The front stairs offers fewer steps for carrying luggage or groceries. The dunes are beautiful and allow access to the beach. A nearby public access also allows beach access for those with physical limitations. We enjoyed watching fireworks all around us. The description of the home is accurate. The owner was honest and included a description of areas where improvements could be made. We were very satisfied with these accommodations. Maggie

Sun, Sand, and Serenity: Our Perfect Holden Bewch Escape!

We enjoyed our fantastic beach vacation, the house was very clean, well-maintained and contributed to a comfortable and inviting atmosphere! It truly felt like a home away from home, The well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the dining area provided the perfect view! The oceanfront stay had stunning views of the waves and private access to the beach. Each day was filled with relaxation and fun activities, from sunbathing and swimming to building sandcastles and walking the beach looking for shells! The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking, the nights were peaceful, with the sound of the waves providing a soothing backdrop. Our time here has been rejuvenating, memorable, and filled with joy! We love staying here.

Nice, clean beach house! The owner is easy to communicate with, responsive to any questions or concerns. It is an older home and it is well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need if you wish to cook some of your meals. The walkway to the beach is in good condition & maintained also. We love the covered back porch, a great place to relax! We always wish we could stay longer!

LOVE THIS HOUSE!! VERY clean, comfortable beachy home in a very peaceful location!!! We'll be back

When we walked into the house, we knew immediately we were in Love with this House!!! The first thing I noticed was the open floorplan, the beautiful beachy décor, all the wonderful natural sunlight from all the windows, the pretty colors…all so inviting. Then we walked out to the Oceanfront deck my husband and I were in awe. We were both so happy that this would be our vacation!!! As time passed, I noticed more and more how clean the whole house was, which I fully appreciated because I am a clean freak. The housecleaners had done a wonderful job! The furniture and house was in good condition. The refrigerator and appliances seem to be new. The bathrooms are very attractive and updated. The longer we stayed the more we really appreciated all the spaciousness of the living area, dining area, bedrooms, and also the comfortable beds and furniture! This house is an older design on the street side but you wouldn’t know it from the inside. And the location is amazing. I can’t say enough compliments about the house because we loved it!. The owner was very kind to call us on day 2 to make sure everything was OK. We had no complaints at all. This was our first time in Holden Beach. We only vacation in NC every other year but we WILL definitely be back! My only regret is that we couldn’t stay another week.

Quiet location

The house was spacious upstairs. We liked the open floor plan. We did not need to use the two rooms in the basement but they seemed spacious. Kitchen was well equipped compared to others we have stayed in at Holden. This is an older home. There is wear, especially in the primary bath. We ended up using the hall bath instead as it had an exhaust fan. Be aware that this home has very steep and narrow stairs from the lower level to upper. Was a little challenging for me and could be for anyone with a mobility issue, Beach location is great. At this time there is a good sized dune that you have to go down and climb up to access and return from the beach. I would advise bringing your own linens as the owner is very specific about charging fees for any type of staining from makeup, skincare products, etc on the linens provided. We always bring our own so this was not an issue for us. You may want to bring your own dish towels too as there are none provided. Make sure you get the rental agreement the owner requires when you book. VRBO did not send it and I ended up having to review and sign it the night before we were to check in which was not fun. I think that the agreement should be made available to read before you ask to book the property. The property has plenty of room if you have a big family. The volleyball area is nice for kids. Two tables for dining gives lots of room for games and puzzles. A small gas grill is provided which was very useful for us.

About the owner: Our family has been spending summer vacations on the East Coast since the very early 1900's when our Great Grandfather took my Grandfather as a boy down to the barrier Islands off the Eastern seaboard. Sadly, as much as all the older generations LOVED the shore, they were never able to afford to buy a house there. My Grandfather had the opportunity to 'buy' a lot on an Island for $200 in the early 1900's, but in his own words; 'that was too much money' back then...he couldn't afford it...he grew up in the great depression. We need to remind ourselves that we are a very blessed generation to have been able to finally buy a Beach House. It still took a lot of sacrifices and it is not easy, but we know it brings a lot of joy to a lot of people...not just us. We have a young 'special-needs' boy, and there is no greater feeling than watching his face when he is at the Beach! We are sure this will bring many fond memories to your Children... if you can simply put down the cell phone, computer and remote while you are here and just enjoy being with your family at the Ocean!

Why the Owner Chose Holden Beach, NC, USA:
Our Father loved boating and the Ocean. He wanted to buy a house on the NC Coast and retire there. My parents had visited and traveled the entire East coast over their lifetime. But they fell in love with the North Carolina Coast. They had just started taking trips there to determine which Island they wanted to buy on. Sadly, two weeks later after making his last trip there, he passed away...at the young age of 54. In 2003, after years of just thinking about it, I decided I wanted to purchase a house on the NC Coast...a place where I could re-live a lot of the memories my Father had given us on the coast. I started taking trips to every Island and every town up and down the NC Coast. Upon doing so, there was no question that Holden Beach really caught my eye. 'In my eyes'... it was the most natural, most peaceful, pristine Island of all of them (other than the National Seashore areas which of course you cant build on). There is no commercialism, no condominiums, no signs, no over-building, no crowds...just quiet, natural barrier Island in all its natural beauty. It has pristine beaches with very clean, warm water. When the Realtor gave me the keys to the house for sale before I purchased it, I sat on the Oceanfront deck for over 4 hours before I brought her keys back...I simply didn't want to leave!
The Ocean is fairly shallow and clean. The architecture on the Island is a mix of sandcastles, medium-size houses with very pretty architecture and small, older cottages. There is maritime foliage and a sidewalk/bike path that runs almost the entire length of the Island to take it all in. The beauty of the West end is how quiet it is...very few cars.
Just off the island as you come off the bridge onto the mainland is where the stores are...a very nice Grocery Store (Food Lion), Walgreens Drugstore, Restaurants/Dining of all sorts, Ice cream stands, a water-slide park, miniature golf, gift shops, gas station and more.
