From the moment you enter the property, you’ll feel the Zen. Leave your shoes at the door, walk through the house where panoramic ocean and city views will take your breath away. Relax and watch the sailboats and ships go by, and when the sun goes down, the harbor and city lights will sparkle like jewels below. Each of the 3 bedrooms opens to a tranquil courtyard. Relax on our deck, practice yoga, or bbq. We welcome you to find your Zen high atop San Pedro in the quiet South Shores area, which borders Rancho Palos Verde. We’re a 1.3 mile walk to White Point beach, minutes to 110 Freeway, 5 miles to Long Beach. Minutes from the harbor. A Perfect location if you’re heading out on a fishing trip, sailing to Catalina Island, or going on a cruise.

Thelma was very responsive and friendly, the house is fantastic. Peaceful landscaping and decor, comfortable beds, plentiful amenities including spices for cooking, extra pillows and incredible daytime and nighttime views. The sun rises OVER THE OCEAN, y'all!! We celebrated Christmas and a 60th birthday with the dearest friends and family and would be delighted to return to this great house. Thank you, Thelma!

The view is amazing. It the first thing you see and fall in love with the house. The host of the house also was amazing she was always available with any questions or concerns. It’s a very lovely property.

Nice quiet neighborhood. House pretty well cleaned. Liked the labels on the kitchen cabinets and drawers as it made it so easy to find items! Beautiful view at night and fun to watch cargo and cruise ships and sailboats in and out. Easy to get around. Grocery and restaurants close by. The outside deck was great. Communication with owner was fantastic. The house served our family well - the only drawback was that the microwave didn't work - easy to take care of! Would stay again.

The Zen house was a welcome reprieve for our staff after a busy two day work event. We appreciated the endless views, location, and amenities. We ate dinner on the deck and watched a large owl hooting to its partner. The next night watched the clouds turn pink during sunset and then light up in a thundertorm .

The home is very nicely decorated and spacious. The deck is large and has great seating to eat outside and enjoy the views. All the gardens that you can see from the bedrooms were a very nice touch. I wish we had more time to stay and relax. Our group was in town for a wedding out on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and if you stay here make sure to explore the area. It’s also a great location if you plan to do any activities in the Long Beach Harbor area.

This was one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. The gardens around the home are gorgeous. The home is gorgeous. And the view is nothing short of amazing. It is possible to see much of the view of LA from there. We were lucky enough to watch the fireworks from across LA on the 4th of July. It is like having front row seats! During our stay, we easily took the ferry to Avalon, Catalina Island to see the bison, Santa Monica Pier, and Beverly Hills. And the beaches around the corner are just amazing!! A little taste of LaJolla or Santa Barbara cliffs in LA! Definitely visit at low tide! We tried to enjoy as many meals as possible on the covered deck. This place is a gift. Thank you so much for sharing this gem with us!

What a peaceful, beautiful setting. Everything we needed was supplied. Astounding view of the harbor, and a what a cool surpise to see and hear the peacocks that roam the neighborhood.

Amazing

The Zen House is a beautiful place. The location is great, everything you need is close. The neighborhood is clean. The view of the harbor is amazing at all times of the day.The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and grilling.There is lots of space with comfortable furnishings and the decor helps set a relaxing stay.Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The Zen House was exactly as advertised - great location, great views, very peaceful and quiet. Also very close to daughters and grandchildren. Communication with the owners / manager - very quick and accurate response. We plan to visit again.

Amazing view!

From the minute you walk in you’re facing a spectacular view! The deck is enormous with lovely sitting areas and at night the patio lights come on automatically. The house itself is warm and relaxing. I did have to contact the owner and she responded immediately! I would definitely recommend this listing!

Priceless View

You'll find yourself just staring out the windows all the time. How could you not? Everywhere you stand you can look out to the view. It is so much better than just an ocean view because there is so much depth, dimension and activity. I loved it!

Perfect location.

Everything was perfect. First time To California, the view was great the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Close to the Catalina ferry and close enough to Disney.

Beyond what we'd imagined

We arrived after dark. Check in was easy and the charm and appeal of the house was evident immediately upon opening the front gate. And then we entered the house, and that first glimpse of the view from the wall of windows took our breath away. The view was dynamic and different at every time of day. We were 6 adults in town together for a family wedding and this home suited us perfectly. Location was ideal in a lot of ways. Close to the coast, close enough to the city, a quiet neighborhood with conveniences nearby. It was one of the best equipped VRBO we've ever stayed in: kitchen, bath, linens, laundry/iron, tv/Wi-Fi. Thanks, Thelma, for your hospitality!

Amazing !

Our family of 6 traveled from Reno to Long Beach area for a couple days ! The house was absolutely Beautiful, clean, plenty of room for everyone! We went out the first night and stayed in made spaghetti dinner the second night while the boys had an afternoon of golf at a Trump course ! We sat on the patio and enjoyed wine and the views and let me say I didn’t ever want to leave ! We also walked both days in the neighborhood and all the neighbors were soooo incredibly nice. If I find myself in this area again I will be back to stay in the Zen house !! Thank you so much Thelma for being so awesome! The Schultz Family ❤️

Deserve the praises!

Beautiful view and equally awesome host! I don’t think I have ever been to such well thought out rental home. The telescope and popcorns had won us all over. The location is great and close to grocery stores. We could even hear peacocks one hazy morning! The beds were a bit too soft for us, however all we had decent sleep. Thelma was super prompt in responding and helpful throughout the stay!
