Natural light throughout the entire 2 story Barndominium / "Barndo" property.4 bedrooms and 3 full bath, sleeps 10. Incredible views throughout the home. and Acreage to spread out outside for the kids, pets and outdoor summer nights around the fire-pit. Great outdoor playground! The most luxury bathrooms to relax and enjoy your mountain getaway. Includes an outdoor 6 person hot tub.

Walk a few blocks to Lake Granby. Grand Lake area has a series of 3 lakes. Grand Lake which borders the downtown area if the town of Grand Lake. Shadow Mountain Lake and then Lake Granby.

Disconnect and enjoy nature, outdoor spaces and time with friendly and family. Two TV's in the home, one in the living room downstairs and one in the upstairs room with 2 full beds. No TV's in the 3 King bedrooms.

Helpful details to note before booking:
The Green Barn is located in Grand Lake, Colorado near Lake Granby and short drive to the West entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, Kawuneeche Visitor Center and historic downtown Grand Lake.The property is not in Estes Park (Estes Park is the East entrance to RMNP).

Trail Ridge Road is closed during winter months, typically opened Memorial Day to Labor Day. The road has a dedicated hotline with real time road status updates.

4x4 required in winter months.

We do not require our guests to do any cleaning chores upon departure. We only ask that you put your trash in the trash bin in the garage! We pay a professional local cleaning crew a living wage and do not make any money off the cleaning fee.

The home does not have air conditioning. A/C is very rare in all mountain properties. We have ceiling fans and portable fans to help with warm days. We encourage opening windows in the evening for the cool mountain air!

Local Summer Activities: Boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, and amazing opportunities in Rocky Mountain National Park and Arapahoe National Forest. Championship golf courses, horseback riding and hayrides. World Class Theater located right in Town of Grand lake, boutique shopping, good restaurants, and fun on the boardwalk.

The Green Barn is closest to Lake Granby. There are two other lakes in the area that are connected. Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake which is the lake that borders the downtown town of Grand Lake.

Local Winter Activities: downhill skiing and snowboarding at Ski Granby Ranch and at Winter Park Ski Area , cross country skiing (3 areas nearby including the Grand Lake Nordic center ). Grand Lake is snowmobiling capital of Colorado enjoy more than 130 miles of groomed trails, ice fishing, ice skating, Winter Carnivals, sleigh rides, dog sledding, and snowshoeing.
