Can’t say enough about how wonderful this property was! Everything is very user friendly, clean and modern. The floor plan is well thought out and allows for many guests to sleep comfortably. Beautiful landscaping, and many places to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river. The fire pit and the spa were especially nice, clean, and comfortable!

We spent 3 nights here for our son’s wedding weekend and we simply couldn’t have asked for a more perfect home! It was plenty big enough for 14 of us and the property itself is just beautiful. We spent most of our time on the back patio by the firepit making memories. I love that we all had our own bathrooms and with the inlaw suite the bride and groom’s family could spend the weekend together but still have our own spaces.

The place is incredible. Takes a couple walk-throughs to get your bearings, but it's an incredible spot for groups of 10-14 (which we were). Beautiful sunrises and you can maneuver yourself to darker areas to get great night skies as well. All activities around the property were super fun. We didn't even want to leave.Also, the host responded to and resolved an unforeseen issue very quickly.

While weather and time of year meant we could not make use of the full resources of this venue, it was wonderful for kids of all ages and families for playing games, eating together and engaging.

Pre-Easter getaway

So enjoyed this wonderful property and its riverfront location. Only con is noise from the road, but white noise machines provided helped. Host was responsive and helpful before checkin, answering lots of questions. Property totally lives up to the listing!

Beautiful home

This place is the ideal gateway for families with children. We had all adults and could have used some more beds. There are several beds in a playhouse with low ceilings, perfect for kids. The location is perfect. The common areas were excellent. Overall we had a great stay.

We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend New Year’s Eve. The home was beautiful, with great views and a stunning Christmas tree that made the holiday atmosphere extra special.The hosts were wonderful, very attentive, flexible, and truly a pleasure to communicate with. Everything was perfect from start to finish.Thank you again for such a memorable stay. This was honestly one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we would absolutely love to return.

Four generations stayed at this location as a gift to the great grandparents. It was ideal for that purpose. The playroom off the main house with a door attached was ideal for closing out the noise when things became too chaotic. There was SO MUCH to do. Once it became warm enough for us to, we got outside and then really fell in love with the house. We own a business and immediately began thinking about bouncing back for a management retreat. The only cons are small enough to not be deal breakers. Ie The traffic noise is pretty noticeable in the bedrooms but they’ve provided sound machines that do the trick. I wish there were more reviews because I would have felt more relaxed in the lead up to the weekend if so.

Love that you enjoyed such a special time at the house with your family! We love the layout with the kids room right there but able to shut out the noise without disconnecting completely! The property was well used and we love to see that! Hope to have you all come again in the future!

A perfect place to stay

We found ourselves in wrightsville for my son’s wedding at Lauxmont Farms. Since we live 1 1/2 hours away we needed a place close to the venue for all the weekend activities. Rivers edge proved to be the perfect place. Only 2 miles from the venue made it super convenient. Being right on the river helped us have a beautiful relaxing weekend. The property is spectacular. The owners were very quick to answer all questions. They also were able to provide us with a great recommendation for our Rehersal dinner on Thursday night. Burning bridge tavern had private party rooms that were perfect and everyone loved the food and bar service. We would totally stay here again and highly recommend the property. Especially if you have a wedding at Lauxmont farms !!

We stayed here with our wedding party for the weekend. The indoor space is exactly as described. We fit 16 adults without issue and could park 10 cars pretty easily. The property itself is very beautiful and has a wonderful view of the river! Unfortunately the deck furniture was covered in spiderwebs so we could not use it, and the outdoor space overall looked like it had not been cleaned. The AC in the in law suite also broke during our stay. Our main issue throughout the weekend was there were multiple wasps inside the house. The host did send someone out to try and take care of it, but it remained an issue. We also had an issue with mice in the ceiling of the downstairs room and a very large amount of bugs at night resulting in us not being able to be outside after dark. Issues with mice and bugs are to be expected along the river which we understand, it just certainly made the weekend more stressful than we had hoped.
