NEWLY UPDATED in 2024! Sandusky family getaway near downtown, waterfront, and 8 minute drive to Cedar Point! Our comfortable 3 bedroom beach house is the perfect summer escape for your family. Enjoy your conveniently located and spacious home away from home in America's "Best Coastal Small Town" (USA Today)! The house is professionally cleaned and serviced and perfect for your family. Wherever your wanderlust takes you, this is the destination for you.

No smoking inside or outside. This includes on deck no smoking.

The space

Our beach house is minutes away from Cedar Point, Jackson Street Pier, ferries to the islands, and many more hotspots for food and fun. Our home is the best retreat for families because we have a private laundry room, a roomy kitchen, and great seating and sleeping options within the home.

Guest access

Access is available to all of Unit 2 of the Beach house, but ends at the breezeway. The breezeway entrance is located beyond the laundry room.

Other things to note

Security cameras are located on the outside of the house and in the breezeway. None within the living space of the house, ensuring your complete privacy.
Property is located in a nice neighborhood with quiet neighbors. Guests must be respectful of noise levels at night. Know that the house is located near train tracks so noise levels can be heard at night.
Bedding in the house can sleep 6. Additional guests (past 6) should be children who can sleep in portable bedding situations provided by guests, although we do have 1 "pack n' play" available for guest's use.

Absolutely no smoking.

Great Sandusky Getaway

Very clean property and quiet neighborhood (except for the trains). We were very comfortable and the neighbors were very nice. Great value and proximity to Cedar Point and shopping. We definitely recommend the property.

Had a lovely time on our Cedar Point vacation with our friends. The property was nicely located close to all activities. Comfortable beds, very clean, well appointed bathroom and kitchen! Temperature was perfect! Heavy blinds in the rooms - great for sleeping in! Home decor was beach-themed, not sure I would call it a beach house as it was not close to the beach. Technically a duplex, but the breezeway separating the units made it not feel like a duplex. 3rd bedroom accessed through the master bedroom - I must have missed that in the property description - not a major inconvenience. The Host was fantastic! We had a great time and would rent again. :)

The place looks like it had some recent updates. It's definitely ok for 1 or 2 nights if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep after a long day at Cedar Point or the sports center since it's pretty close. Neighborhood is questionable; first day 2 men were arguing with each other in the street and the second morning a neighbor was yelling at people in the street. It's across the street from a vacant building, which didn't bother me but bothered my husband.

Would stay again

It was comfortable and pleasant. Missing a baking dish for cakes or dinner dishes, but nice cookware that cleans easy! The host is easy to contact, and most helpful!

Great place to stay!

House was very nice...for being "small" accommodated our group of 6 well. Great use of space. The only reason why I scored a bit lower was due to a snafu with the property not being cleaned upon arrival. However. I would stay here again because the host was very responsive, got someone here immediately to clean, and while it was slightly inconvenient overall didn't effect our stay. They made things right quickl! Things happen!

Good Cedar Point location

Had everything we needed and close to the park. Close to very active train tracks and a very cool old building separates them. Should be described as a duplex, not a beach house. Neighbor very pleasant. We would stay here again.

Weekend getaway

My partner and I along with some friends stayed here to go to cedar point. The master bedroom was connected to another bedroom which was a bit odd but it was fine. I would recommend staying here as it is comfortable, but if you are a light sleeper I would keep the train in mind. It’s not just a once or twice a day train, I am a deep sleeper myself and it didn’t bother me too much, but my partner had a hard time sleeping. Overall good experience, we mostly used it to rest anyway. It was nice to see the board games and the tv has programs you can watch stuff on!

Prime location

Exactly what we needed for our family trip to Cedar Point, about 4min from kroger, about 10-12min to Cedar Point. The neighbors we spoke to were very nice, especially the tenant in front, he was an absolute pleasure to speak with, very nice guy. Fully stocked kitchen (dishes, pots/pans) on-site laundry. It was a nice place for a family to stay, one level with a ramp if you need it, just an overall great place will definitely come back with the family and i highly recommend staying here.

Cute

Very cute place to stay. Pulling up the neighborhood looked old and there is an abandoned building right across teh street but saw so.e neighbors and they were nice. Didn’t hear a peep from the nice older gentleman that lives in the other side he was very nice when we saw him outside. The train runs constantly but we were so tired from all the fun that we all feel asleep with no problem. The house is super cute and updated nicely. The back bedroom gets really warm because of no central air but they do provide a fan. So it was doable.

Not a beach house

Older house in town. Marketed as a beach house when its anything but. Very close to freight train tracks that run all day and night with constant whistles blowing. The house cleanliness was fair. Disappointed that the house didn't have any type of coffee maker.

Cute and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay, the house is close to everything. Kids went to Cedar Point a part of everyday. In the evenings we played board games or watched a movie. Very pleasant time. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, washer and dryer, all good.

We still live here for about half the year when we do physical therapy sessions for our daughter and we love exploring and hiking around all the local parks and reserves. Cedar Point is an obvious place to visit, but there is so much more to see in this community! If you have any questions on which parks, beaches, or nature reserves to visit, do hesitate to ask and we will provide a list for you (with our favorites indicated)!

The neighbors are kind and quiet and provide a great community. There is a loud train that passes by, but the convenience of the location cannot be overstated. You are 8 minutes from Cedar Point, 5 minutes from Jackson Street Pier, 3 minutes from downtown, and 5 minutes from all the shops and restaurants along Milan road. We have everything just a short drive away!

Location and convenience. No driving 30 minutes to Cedar Point or Kalahari, both are a short drive away. Food is close. The neighbors are nice and the area is safe.
