As a host, I take great pride in offering my guests a comfortable, clean and inviting home to enjoy their vacation. This past summer I replaced, upgraded and repaired many items to ensure an enjoyable stay. That being said, my most recent guest made some inaccurate comments. She commented about the cleanliness of the house. I hired a three-person professional cleaning company that I closely monitored while they were working. My home was immaculate when they left where not one surface was untouched. Unfortunately, my house was not returned in the same manner. The house was left dirty, and house rules were not followed. In regard to blinds and curtains, there are window treatments on every window. They were inspected and were found to be in perfect working order prior to their arrival. After their departure and upon inspection, two blinds were destroyed and need to be replaced, one of which was installed a few days before their arrival. i am sorry for the uninvited guests. That does happen periodically even with a maintenance plan. I offered a solution to them which was denied and so was access to my home. The issue has been addressed since their departure. When my guests ask for items, I immediately responded and let them know where items were located in the house. I responded to their needs in an efficient manner. Some of the comments my renter made were never addressed to me personally and only on this public forum. I would have addressed any issues immediately.

Ryan, I’m sorry that our home did not meet your needs . We take great pride in our property and do our best to make everyone comfortable . Unfortunately we have had a very wet, tropical summer. Many of the other properties in the area have experienced similar problems with their doors . Also , this can occur with loose tiles. Both of these issues will be addressed now that the rental season is over. Our family has owned this home for 15 years. Our family of 2 adults and 4 have fit comfortably in this house . It still accommodates my family as they are now adults . That is why I list the property as sleeping 6. Other families didn’t seem to have a space problem , which should have been fine for your family of 2 adults snd 3 children as listed on your request . At the beginning of each season I look at other houses that our comparable to see their pricing . Our home falls right in line with other houses , and ours may be even cheaper . We are sorry that our cozy beach house was not for you. We believe our other reviews accurately portray our home. We take great pride in the cleanliness, amenities and updated linens and furnishings. We are very responsive to any issues that may occur during our visitor’s stay. However, some things are out of our control, such as poison ivy located near the causeway. The sides of the road are cleared often and cut back 6 feet away from the edge of the road. Our beach is private to Bonnet Shores’ residents and their guests. A beach tag is required for entry. It understandable that it was crowded since the July 4th week is one of the most popular rental weeks in Bonnet Shores and Rhode Island. Prior to your trip, it had rained consistently for 14 days. Due to the inclement weather and ocean air, many homes experience having their doors swell as well. We wish you and your family good luck in the future finding your perfect vacation home.
