Snowcreek Sanctuary in the Sierras

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting 954 Links Way twice a year for the past year. Late spring and early autumn. I enjoy easy access to the Sherwin Meadow with my Golden Retriever early in the mornings, where I have encountered other residents out walking their dogs or running. Snowcreek has proved to be a base for exploring the trails of the Mammoth Lakes Basin, Minaret Vista, the Mono Lake Basin, and Lee vining Canyon. This year rain cleared the air from the Garnet Fire and created dramatic backdrops over the Sierras. The aspen trees were turning more vibrant colors each day. I talked to participants in the Mammoth Trail Fest and the Mammoth Gravel Bike ride, both inspiring events. I really enjoy access to the Snowcreek Athletic Club, which I used each evening.

This is is a great place to stay well at Mammoth. It is a beautiful location. There is a drip coffee filter. The place was clean and sun lit. Would recommend.

Fall Get Away

Snowcreek and Peak Colors for the Aspens

The aspen trees were at peak colors, intensifying almost daily. I have never seen such dramatic colors. 954 Links Way was in superb shape as we moved in for an 8-day stay. It provided warm refuge from the frigid nights. The aspens around the unit embraced us with their colors. At night, it was utterly quiet. We used the Snowcreek Athletic Club every day. That was great too. I am only sorry that we had to leave.

Fantastic state

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Snowcreek is always our go to place when in Mammoth. It is very easy to check in. Also the mid week specials on golf and the use of the Snoecreek Athletic Club make it a great place to stay. We have rented at Snowcreek many times in the past. Our kids grew up coming here, etc. it’s a wonderful place. However, PLEASE, PLEASE do not close the golf course as we have heard rumor will happen. There will be no need for us to stay there if that happens. The golf course is what helps to make Snowcreek such a beautiful place.

2-Days at Unit 954

Upstairs bathroom needs stopper for the sink, and the shower drain needs to be cleaned. Upstairs bedroom needs a chest of drawers; existing bedside nightstands do not provide enough storage for a longer stay.

Return to Snowcreek

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The first week in June was a great time to return to 954 Links Way at Snowcreek. While much of the Southwest sweltered under oppressive heat, the weather in Mammoth Lakes was crisp and clear. The melting snow pack fed streams and creeks with white water. While we there, the roads into the Mammoth Lakes Basin and Reds Meadow opened. We explored many trails, including Panum Crater near Mono Lake. Several times I encountered a herd of about 20 deer grazing on the Snowcreek Meadow. Local favorite restaurants like the Stove, Roberto's, the Breakfast Club, Good Life, and Schatt's did not disappoint. I appreciated being able to work out daily at Snowcreek Athletic Club.

Snowcreek the Links in Autumn

Reviewer Comments: Snowcreek 954 Links Way provided a great base to see the changing colors of the aspens from Bishop Creek in the south to Sonora Pass in the north. This was a hastily arranged trip in response to bulletins from Snowcreek and the Mammoth Visitors Bureau about the ever-changing peak colors in different places. As always, 954 Links Way was in fine shape upon arrival. The aspens on the slope in the back were dazzling in their own right. We were able to view the partial eclipse of the sun. It was so quiet you could hear the wind at night. We made use of the Snowcreek Athletic Club each evening. I want to go back even though I just left a few days ago.

Snowcreek in Late Summer

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, Snowcreek 954 Links Way made an excellent base for exploring Mammoth Lakes and June Lake in late summer. With the exception of a couple minor issues, #954 was in very good shape. One call to Snowcreek brought out the maintenance man, who fixed a balky sliding screen door and light switch in short order. Contractors were at work on this unit and others, repairing damage from the heavy winter snowfall. We used the Snowcreek Athletic Club every day, a much appreciated perk. We hiked trails around Horseshoe Lake, Lake Mary, to Heart Lake, and through the Enchanted Forest. I was able to see the Milky Way at night. Out favorite restaurants such as the Stove, Roberto's, Schatt's, and Goodlife have maintained their great food and service. A stay at 954 Links Way has become a refuge from the commotion of urban life. I am already planning a return trip.

Return to Snowcreek After a Long Winter

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 954 Links Way at Snowcreek has been our bases for exploring the Eastern Sierra twice a year for several years now. Before that we stayed at other Snowcreek rentals but 954 Links Way has proved to be the best. The view of the Sherwin is uplifting, no matter what time of year. The unit is always clean and well maintained. We have met some nice people and their dogs in the project. We are able to explore many natural wonders around Mammoth Lakes. This time we photographed birds and wildflowers at Mono Lake, Convict Lake, the Owens River at Benton Crossing, and fly fishermen at Mammoth Hot Creek. The heavy winter snow pack has taken its toll all over, but Mammoth is recovering. I saw and heard work crews repairing roofs, cutting downed trees, removing debris, and shoring up damaged structures like decks. The sound of running water filled the air. Usually dry ditches were full of flowing water. The creeks have swollen into whitewater rapids. Normally dried out meadows and pastures have blossomed from the rain and snow. The Mono County wildflower viewing directory was accurate and useful. We used Snowcreek Athletic club every day. The television and cable streaming choices are complex. There are four remotes in the living room. I am not sure the function of each. A short sheet of instructions on how to access streaming services like Netflicks or local television stations from Reno might be useful. The gas fireplace would not ignite.

The fireplace didn’t work, and there wasn’t a screen door and on the master slider. Also, my dog only stayed one night, can I get a discount/refund. $50 extra a night is quite pricey! Especially for a non-shedding, quiet and obedient pup.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it’s just perfect. The back opens up to a snowy area right off the bedroom. Garage to keep the car warm. And comfy beds. We love it.

We had to stay in due to so much Snow and it was comfortable

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were up over the winter holidays and had so much rain and snow that our days on the mountain weren't as long as usual. It was warm and comfortable with room for our family to hang out together or have space.It was convenient to get the code for the place and they were responsive to our texts when we needed something.The provisions are pretty basic--the linens were nice, however the pillows were a little hard. If you are going to cook in, bring your own spices and butter or PAM. The washer and dryer were great as we were soaked!

Great Stay!

Very nice condo with a simple check in process using your code at the front door. Having access to the garage is a big bonus especially on snowy days. Condo was nice and warm when we arrived, beds were comfortable and layout of the condo was spacious for the whole family.

It is quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. We explored many trails and sights from there, Mammoth Rock Trail, Lee Vining Canyon, Convict Lake, and this year Saddlebag Lake. An Alaskan storm created dramatic skies with clouds blowing by the peaks.

Nice enough

Bathrooms and kitchen were clean, but other areas needed better cleaning. Table surfaces, carpets, wall. It was like a toddler with sticky fingers had been there. Carpet has damage. Light outside front door didn't work so it was dangerous going down the steps. I messaged multiple times and they said maint would come but they never did. Over all nice place and great location. But needs a few details tended to for the price you pay to stay in snow creek

Most of the lamps did not have light bulbs or burned out light bulbs and upstairs was hot! Would have liked to have a box fan or something like that. But would love to stay again!

Had a great time in Mammoth

Property matches the pics and description stated. Location is terrific for a peaceful and quiet vacation! Walk to hiking trails and even a small lake nearby where the dogs went swimming! Only complaint is I think the cleaning crew wasn’t terribly thorough. We found small trash items such as broken glass, candy wrappers, crayons, an envelope on the floors just at the edge of various furniture pieces. I found the glass by stepping on it… I reached down and found a small handful of broken glass pieces just at the edge of the sofa, thankfully didn’t cut my foot. Other than this, everything was in working order and clean.

Wonderful place

We really enjoyed the property. We love Snowcreek and this particular property was large and clean and a perfect fit for our family. Backyard opened to a nice, quiet area where the kids went in the snow and sledded. Would love to stay here again!
