Welcome to the lake! Our well appointed home is centrally-located within walking distance (0.8 mi) to Douglas Beach, a short bike/drive to the acclaimed Oval Beach and just across Lake Kalamazoo from downtown Saugatuck! Enjoy a morning coffee or evening cocktail on the peaceful screened-in porch. Gather for an al fresco meal in our outdoor dining space.
The kitchen is fully stocked for all your needs, but be sure to explore all the fantastic dining options and quaint shops in the downtowns of Saugatuck and Douglas, both under 2 miles from the house or a short chain ferry ride across the river.

The main house comfortably sleeps 8 and has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed. The two upstairs bedrooms each have 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. There is 1 bathroom on the main floor and 1 bathroom upstairs. There is an optional 1 bed/1 bath (full) on the property and available for an additional charge (please see additional photos and inquire about availability). Comfortable living space, WiFi included, ample outdoor space for lawn games, chef’s kitchen, breakfast bar, washer/dryer, outdoor grill and parking for 2 cars. Beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler are available for our guests’ use as well.
There is an optional, gated and air conditioned guest house for larger parties, which sleeps 4 (1 queen bed + queen sleeper sofa), has its own full bathroom, kitchen and screened in porch. The guest house is accessible via a shared walkway and is a secluded and private space. The guest house has its own dedicated parking spot, a gated entrance, and a lovely private courtyard. We recommend booking both properties together well in advance of your stay. Please search our separate listing indicating 10-12 guests or inquire for availability and link to listing.

We been coming to the Saugatuck/Douglas area as a family for close to a decade. We love it in the Summer and Fall months, but it’s a wonderful place all year long! Oval Beach is special. The towns are quaint and full of great dining options, shops and art. Minutes away are great breweries, fruit picking farms, hiking and biking trails. All you would need to have a relaxing time away but plenty of options to keep you busy. We would be more than happy to provide all our recommendations and favorite spots in detail upon inquiry!

Situated between Lake Michigan and Lake Kalamazoo, our property is perfectly positioned for all your needs. Walk or drive to the beach in under 5 minutes. Drive or bike into town in a similar amount of time, or take the only remaining chain ferry in the US right into downtown Saugatuck (0.9 mi walk).
Nothing is out of reach from our location and you'll come home from your days adventure or night out to a quiet neighborhood.

A classic, but updated lake cottage, the property consists of two independent dwellings. A 3 bed room, 2 bath main house (this listing) fronts the property while there is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath guest cottage in the rear. Both offer a their own, private, outdoor spaces and amenities , but share a walkway from the front parking area. Please inquire about availability for renting the Guest Cottage as an add on to the main house.
