This charming beach house offers the perfect getaway for families, couples, and friends seeking relaxation, solitude, and adventure. Wake up to the soothing sound of waves and sip your coffee on one of the 3 decks as the sun rises, offering amazing views and photo opportunities. Take time to explore local attractions such as the historic Corolla Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, and the numerous boutiques, quaint shops, and restaurants in downtown Duck which is within biking distance. For a beautiful stroll, enjoy the almost mile-long boardwalk on the sound in downtown Duck. Don't forget to stop for ice cream. After a day of playing in the waves, rinse off in the outdoor shower and head up to the upper deck with 360-degree ocean views to stargaze or watch the many dolphins frolic as they entertain you.

This rental also offers Wild Duck Dunes community access to the sound side pier and kayak ramp at the end of the street where incredible sunsets can be experienced. Conveniently there is a lifeguard stand right in front of the property on the beach. Take a short drive north to the beaches of Corolla or Carova where the famous wild horses roam freely. Many excursions are available nearby such as the Wild Horse tours, hang gliding, fishing trips, etc. There are endless opportunities to provide you with a fantastic relaxing memorable holiday.

Very clean. Pet friendly. Fantastic ocean views and access. Host was so responsive. We enjoyed the combination of cozy feeling yet spacious. Great TV and internet. Great kitchen facilities. Clean and updated bathrooms. King beds. Great linen package. We loved it all.

We LOVED this house and had an amazing week here. It’s in a wonderful location with quick and easy access to a beach that wasn’t ever over crowded. The bedrooms all have comfortable king size beds making this a perfect vacation house for families like ours with several adult couples. The “kids suite” as we called it was very spacious and had black out curtains which we really appreciated when putting little ones down for naps. The house was very well maintained with a fully stocked kitchen and new appliances. Check in/out was a breeze. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect!

We loved the property! It had 3 levels of decking, so even when we weren’t actually on the sand, we still felt like we were down on the beach. The views were lovely! The inside of the house was roomy but still felt very cozy and intimate. We loved the open floor plan of the living room, dining room, kitchen, and game area. The kitchen had lots of dishes, glasses, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.The beds were very comfortable. The house was right on the beach and couldn’t have been more perfect!

Nice house, felt watched by neighbors who know the owner

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was very nice and I was hoping it would be the rental we return to year after year, but the rental company wasn’t professional. This house has a rooftop deck and the roof is VERY accessible from it. My 12 year olds thought it was a good idea to step onto the roof. I was alerted by my other child and immediately told them to get down and not do that again. The next morning I received a call from the rental company and the individual who spoke to me said that a neighbor called the owner and told them that someone was on the roof. I told them that it had happened, that I had immediately told my children to get down and that it wouldn’t happen again and I completely understand the risk and concern. She didn’t seem satisfied with that answer and continued to push me about the incident. I was unsure what else I could have done to address the situation and this was not a “friendly warning”.Clearly the roof isn’t a safe place to hang out but it is easily accessible and there is zero signage or house rules forbidding roof access. Since I was owning that it happened and agreeing that it wasn’t ok, I did not appreciate the tone taken by the rental company. Nice property but steer clear if you want privacy. The neighbor is watching and will call the owner. Outside shower needs to have the drainage/floor redone.

Great Sunsets On The Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the home was great, right on the beach and the view of morning sunrises was spectacular. Great location very close to shopping in Duck and a quick drive to both Corolla and Kitty Hawk. Perfect size house for up to 3 couples. The house was very clean, well appointed (pots, pans, utencils, appliances) and recently updated/remodeled. The beds were super comfortable and clean. Great service from the Rental Company - a big shout out to Caiden, he was super professional and responsive. The only exception for cleanliness was the gas grill which did not appear to have been cleaned out since the beginning of summer and took quite a bit of our time to clean out both the drip pan and the grates. The gas tank was also almost empty which we had to notify the rental company we needed a new one and they quickly replaced. Having the gas grill under the carport was not optimal and I believe a fire hazard unless you roll it out every time you want to use it (which we did) but I am sure there are plenty of people that grill with it under the carport. There is a very large, uncovered/underutilized deck area in the rear area of the house just off the back porch/kitchen. It would be fabulous to have a grill there in order to not have to go downstairs and roll out the grill from under the carport. This area would also be an AWESOME area for a Hot Tub which would take this rental to another level - Great outdoor space that has so much potential to draw in more rentals. Lastly, the washer and dryer are located on the carport level in a storage room. It would have been great to have this on the main living area of the home. Overall a nice home but with some of the suggestions mentioned it would take it from a 4 to a 5 rating,

The house was beautiful and so perfect for my husband and I. Our son and his family joined us later in the week and the accommodations were so well-suited for everyone. We also loved how thoughtfully decorated the house was. We would definitely stay here again!
