Experience coastal charm in this newly renovated beach cottage, nestled in the scenic Fort Morgan dunes with great views of the Gulf of Mexico. A 2-minute walk via a direct beach access path brings you to Alabama's beautiful white sand beach. Morgantown is a low density beach so you can enjoy walking the shoreline, surf fishing, body surfing the waves, or simply relax in the sun. Enjoy stunning views from the sundeck and wash away the sand and saltwater in the private outdoor shower. With a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill on the deck, you can enjoy your fresh catch from the gulf (or seafood market). This is a great setup for two families or a multi-generational family with two bedrooms featuring king-sized beds and a bunk room with two sets of twin bunkbeds.

The property is located 15 miles from downtown Gulf Shores and 6 miles from the Mobile Bay Ferry (Fort Morgan - Dauphin Island). While the beach and the gulf are the primary attraction of the Fort Morgan area, there are plenty of options for fine dining and family fun in the area.

Absolutely a gem! Wonderfully updated house. Kitchen is compact but has a great selection of everything you need, including sharp knives. There are 2 coffee makers, Keurig and drip. Everything still like new and works great, including the gas grill, outdoor furniture and ceiling fans on porch. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Fridge/freezer cooled great and made ice super fast. The king size beds were very comfy with plush mattress toppers and all white triple sheeting with duvets, and plenty of clean white extra blankets in the closets. Hands down the cleanest vacation rental we've ever stayed in! Short walk out to beach, but close enough that you can hear the waves and see the dolphins from the house. Owner was easy to contact and quick to answer any questions. Highly recommend this house!

Great location and view! It was amazing not to have to share the beach with the public, especially on a holiday weekend. We had a great time with family and highly recommend staying at Sandy Shores!!

Couldn't ask for more

10/10, will stay again! Everything was perfect from the comfortable home to the proximity to the beach. Loved waking up early and having coffee on the porch and taking walks on the beach....which was never crowded. The house had all we needed to grill and cook for the nights we decided to stay in. There was plenty of things to do within a 30 min or so drive. This place is a gem! We feel so lucky to have found it! Write your story in the guest book!!

Best beach stay ever

Stayed a week after July the 4 th 2025. Location great and quiet. We will go back. Owners where the best. House was really nice and very clean. We caught fish in the surf and my sone caught a big flounder that was very tasty on the grill. Plenty of resturants to eat at, stayed away from busy gulf shores. We grilled three times and cooked some in the kitchen. We left our umbrellas and chairs on the beach. Nobody messed with anything.

Very cute house with a great view of the ocean! The walk to the beach was very doable for our family, but I would not advise for anyone that does not get around well. There is a boardwalk right down the street that is very accessible. Would stay again!

Perfect beach bungalow!

A piece of paradise. Tucked in between huge vacation properties is this little gem. It was perfect for our family and dog. Everything was clean. Tons of bath towels and cleaning supplies. The beds were comfortable. Loved having my morning coffee at the dining table looking out at the gulf. A wonderful property to stay at.

Peaceful spring break

Stay was in a peaceful area. Brought my pet with me and he enjoyed the beach time. Good space for 3 adults and 3 children. I would definitely stay at this location again.

It's a lovely place to stay with great views, peaceful area and very short walk to the beach. It is advertised as 300 yards to the beach but we don't think it was even a hundred yards.

Perfect spot for a family getaway

We had a fantastic trip and loved staying in this property. The house was nice, very clean. We had more than enough room for our family of 5. The kids walked back and forth to the ocean all day with no problems. The best part about this location is that there aren’t any big condos nearby. We stayed over Labor Day weekend and were shocked at how empty the beach was. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Hidden Gem

We had a wonderful stay at Fort Morgan! The house was everything you need in a Beach house. View of the ocean and a short walk to the water makes it a great place for families! Amenities were great and the Outdoor shower is amazing! Would highly recommend for any families that want a get away to the beach and not have to fight the crowds!
