Great place! Place was super clean and had plenty of cooking items. The back area was fenced in so our dog could roam a little. Great location from the beach. It was so quiet and peaceful at night. Want to come back again in the spring.

Wonderful Week All Around

We stayed at Barefoot Gypsy last week for our third year in a row. The vicinity to the beach and pool area are only steps away. Our elderly dog truly loved the nighttime rides on the golf cart. We had a wonderful week with beautiful weather, clear water, hardly anyone on the beach, and a pool to ourselves being a bonus.

We had an incredible time staying at your home during our Gulf Shores vacation. The house was the perfect choice—so comfortable, it felt just like being at home, with the beach only a five-minute walk away! Family getaway

Loved the rental house that also allowed our 2 fur babies to be included in the family fun. Everything was beautiful and well maintained with lots of room & comfort! Check in was easy and response to messages sent to the owner were promptly responded to. Would definitely rent this property again!

Excellent stay

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beach house! The space was clean, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. With 2 bedrooms and 4 comfortable beds, it was perfect for our group. The 2 bathrooms were a huge plus and made getting ready super convenient. The location was unbeatable—just steps from the beach! We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying sunsets from the porch. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in a breeze. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway. We’d definitely stay here again!

Perfect and stunning

The home owners went the extra mile to ensure their guests enjoy their stay here and feel at home and at ease. The property, neighborhood, location, and every extra attention to detail don’t go unappreciated or unnoticed. There’s a short walk to the beach or an optional golf cart if needed. My dog was in heaven and enjoyed it just as much as I did. That made a huge difference too and the trip so enjoyable. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Quiet and friendly beach community!

We really liked our stay here. We’ve been to nearly every beach community in AL and the Fl Panhandle and found this one to be secluded, low-key, friendly, and quiet - in a good way! The house was nice - we enjoyed the porch and backyard area. We brought our Boston Terrier, too.

Great Gulf Getaway

Sand and surf a quick walk away. House was spacious, clean, many kitchen amenities, comfortable king bed (didn’t try 2nd bedroom but looked same) master suite so much natural light. Really is exactly as shown on site. Natalie responsive and we were even able to get in a little early. We had our pup and he enjoyed chasing his toys down the hallway. 😊 Perfect peaceful place -beach not crowded and owner has 2 wagons on site to pull chair or cooler. Loved our beach vaca.

just perfect

This really was an exceptional place. Very Clean, plus the location is outstanding. Its the only beach that allows dogs and my dog Meli is a ocean gal!! The kitchen was well stocked and you have 3 different ways to have morning coffee. The beds are comfortable and there's plenty of room for everyone. There's an outside shower which helps get the sand off people and pets, along with a closet full of beach chairs and wagons to make getting to the beach easier. I timed my walk and it was literally 2 minutes!! beautiful white sand and lovely surf. I highly recommend this home, because that's what it is "a home". Just lovely :)

Very nice house

I really enjoyed the decor in the house. It was big enough to feel comfortable however if you have friends or family who want to come have dinner they need to be on the lease. Lindsey did make that process easy to remedy and said it was due to insurance. The back yard for the dog was a plus for sure.

Paradise

First let me start out by saying my husband says I am very critical and hard to please. I loved this property. We were supposed to stay in Gulf Shores and I switched to Fort Morgan as it is the only dog friendly beach. We took our two petite mini goldendoodles with us and I wanted them to enjoy the beach. I loved this house so much we are now looking to buy our own paradise down here on Fort Morgan. It was myself, my husband, my 1 year old daughter and two petite goldendoodles. This house was perfect. This home has two bedroom suites which was absolutely perfect for our set up. We each had our own space yet be together in the living room and kitchen. We cooked 6 meals in the kitchen and had every gadget/appliance we needed. The ice machine was a HUGE hit. We normally burn through so much bottled water and with Lindsay's ice maker we never opened a bottle of water. I tend to be a bit fussy on water but with the ice maker and the tap water I was good to go. We had a nice fenced in yard for our puppies to keep them safe. The walk to the beach was about a block. We did rent Lindsay's golf cart and that was fun taking it around and looking at the other houses. I got it mostly to haul the stuff to the beach with having a one year old. To be full disclosure I don't think I needed it but it was very convenient and never been to the area it was nice to have it to explore. There are very limited dining options unless you are driving to Gulf Shores which will take you about 25+ minutes which is fine with us because we like to cook at the house a lot to enjoy the beach. It does have the pool however we didn't use it. The weather wasn't quite warm enough. The sugar sand beach was pristine. Not a lot of traffic. For a while it was just myself, my daughter and two dogs on the beach in the morning. The house was just perfect. A huge bath tub which was very nice for myself and my daughter. I am pretty tall and I could have laid completely down in that tub. The water pressure in the showers was a little weak as I am used to much stronger but the outside shower under the house was very nice to get all the sand and salt off prior to going into the house. Wow what a slice of paradise. Book your trip you won't be disappointed.

Perfect family location

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is in a perfect location for access to the beech as well as a view of the bay. The location is less populated with a ton of open beech area. The community pool and basketball court was a nice added bonus. Highly recommended!

Lovely time on spring break

My parents and I stayed here to explore a new beach/area. This is a Wonderful home in a quiet section of Ft Morgan. Great communication from the host, the house was very clean and smelled nice too. The house had an excellent layout and very comfortable amount of space for 3 adults. The outdoor shower and dog run were nice amenities. We did not use the community pool area too much, but it’s nice to have the option of a place to play ping pong, foosball, basketball, or go for a swim. Highly recommend this space!

Beautiful..relaxing…everything you could imagine!

This place Y’all!! It has it all. It’s home away from home. Fully stocked kitchenware for those who cook. Clean, bright and plenty of space. Updated everything and we happened to enjoy the built in icemaker!!! And I don’t want to forget that our golden retriever loved it too! Plenty of safe areas for her to enjoy the outdoors. Will return in the future no doubt!!!

Such a Beautiful Cottage with Very Accommodating Hosts!

We took a family vacation in Gulf Shores with our 2 small children and 2 dogs. What an amazing home this beach cottage is! We felt right at home and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The Cottage was just walking distance to the beach, so we easily walked down everyday with our littles and our dogs. Lindsay provided everything needed in a very timely manner making our check-in and check-out processes extremely easy. She went above and beyond by also checking in with us after our first night to make sure we had everything we needed. Can’t recommend the home and the hosts enough!

To the beach

This is a wonderful home, a short walk from the gulf. The rooms are open a spacious making it very inviting. We enjoyed making meals in the nicely stocked kitchen and spending time on one of the two decks. Lindsay is a great great host, she took time to answer all of our questions and represents her property very accurately. No disappointments here, loved our stay!

Comfortable home in a great location cures winter blues

Open and airy home with views of the bay and the gulf made for an uplifting winter getaway. Enjoyed long walks on the white sands beach with our black lab and surf fishing daily. Sunsets are amazing here. Good golfing nearby and great location for exploring Dauphin island, Fairhope, Magnolia Springs, Ft.Morgan and Pensacola. Enormous master suite with a comfy king bed and a large tub and plenty of room for yoga. The large kitchen and living area have a gas fireplace for cooler nights. Hosts are very responsive (even reaching out to us before a storm) and home was very clean. Bring some extra blankets in the winter and any special cooking tools you may want but be sure to enjoy the home and this area, we sure did.

Perfectly equipped for entertaining our teenagers with great proximity to the beach and the bay. Great accomodations for our pets as well. The owners were very accomodating to every need.
