La Joya

This is our second time staying there and it is spacious with a huge deck, new Bar b que . The grounds and pool area are the best around. The condo is well equipped. The only thing I would improve on is the wifi as it can be slow sometimes. We are already booked for next year.

Beautiful resort

Overall a great stay. A few minor glitches that our hosts took care of promptly. A few updates needed in the decor/furniture. Needs a paint job.

Wonderful get away

This is a mature condo complex with beautiful greenspace, fantastic pool area and scrupulously clean common areas. The condo unit was very well stocked and had a huge balcony that served as an outdoor living space. Would recommend this unit to anyone.

Love La Joya/La Cruz

Second floor corner unit with lovely palm trees and birds entertaining us while on the patio. We enjoyed both the unit during March and the area once again. Everything needed is in the condo and any issues are taken care of promptly by Teresa. Always lots of areas to explore and the people are so friendly. We’ll be back 😊

La Joya is a great place to stay

Great place. Pool and grounds are fantastic. Room was well equipped, very comfortable bed and BBQ was brand new. Ice machine in refrigerator was a great bonus. Beach chairs and umbrella was new too. You will need your own logins for Netflix, Prime video etcetera. Living room furniture was very hard.

Welcome to the 90s

The property itself and location are perfect! Clean nice great staff. The problem was with the unit. Beds are great and kitchen well stocked but The TVs are so old they only take DVD and Latino DISH but you can not watch it anyway because the couches are so hard they actually hurt you and the TV in the bedroom dies not work with the DVDs???! If you try to read outside good luck The chairs hurt and the lounge chairs have pads from … again… old Towels also threadbare and old BBQ is unusable. The air conditioner was working great.

Great place to stay

Laura was great to deal with and she would get back to you promptly. Teresa looked after any small issues with a smile. The condo is complete with all you will need and the grounds and pool are terrific. Nice bunch of owners and renters. Would definitely rent here again.

Excellent shared pool, walk to village and marina

We were impressed with the generous size of this bright condo, including a very spacious deck. The property's common spaces, including pool are well maintained and secure. A convenient short walk to a variety of restaurants and markets in the town and marina area. We stayed here for 3 weeks from mid Dec to Jan 2022. A neighbor's guard dog barked day and night disrupting the otherwise peaceful atmosphere, for the entire duration of our stay. If you plan to stay here, make sure the issue with the dishwasher/water softener has been resolved as there was a significant deposit on all the kitchenware. Other issues were resolved quickly by Teresa, the property manager. Liz & Mike B.C., Canada

La Joya Life

We once again enjoyed both the property, unit and overall life in La Cruz. The unit is quiet and very comfortable with all amenities needed for a great holiday. Teresa, the property manager, was very responsive when a new propane tank was needed and checked in to make sure everything was good. Already looking forward to next year in this unit!

Great Unit

We had a very enjoyable 2 month stay in La Joya. This unit is well equipped and the few issues we had were handled immediately by Teresa, who us an absolute treasure! We were really impressed and will stay again if we can get it in the future.

La Joya is a lovely condominium complex in La Cruz!

La Joya is a well maintained condo complex in the town of La Cruz. The complex itself is very clean, gardens are well kept, the pool is cleaned every morning, and the staff are pleasant and friendly. It is a gated complex with 24/7 security so we felt very safe staying there. Our unit was very clean, however we ran into a couple of issues with our unit but contacted the property manager who immediately got back to us and dealt with the problems. La Cruz is a sleepy fishing village with a great marina and sea wall for morning walks, Sunday market, and some good restaurants. We liked the vibe in La Cruz as it was quieter than Bucerias or PV but if you wanted you could go into either for the day and explore the malecon or flea market.

We love La Joya!

Overall our stay was great. Laura was easy to communicate with. Answered questions promptly. The property manager Teresa was quick to respond to our inquiries and requests once we arrived. We were very comfortable. We always worry about the comfort of the bed but needn't worry after all. Slept wonderfully well. Liked the convenience of the keyless lock. Love the pool. Building is maintained to high standards. We would stay again if available.

Great getaway!

We recently returned home after spending 6 weeks at LaJoya in LaCruz. This was our first visit to this village and we truly enjoyed being there. The condo was nicely equipped and the complex was really well maintained...............thanks to Rufina and Jeremy! They worked so hard to keep everything clean and looking great. We also felt very safe with the 24/7 security. Alex, one of the security guards was always very helpful as were the others. The property manager, Teresa, was very responsive the couple of times we contacted her. The condo was perfect for our stay. We cooked many of our meals and having the BBQ grill was great. The deck provided just the right balance of sun and shade and we spent most of our time there when we weren't out exploring. Short walk to the beach, the marina and one of our favorite places, Osos. The Sunday market at the marina is something everyone should experience at least once. Lots of good food, music and local crafters. Taking the bus into Bucerias for the flea market and Fat Boys beachfront seafood restaurant was easy and very inexpensive (10 pesos per person). We would definitely return.

Amazing!

I almost don't want to leave a good review just so that I can keep this little place a secret! This condo has plenty of space, well decorated, the staff was very nice and accommodating and I felt very safe throughout my stay. The owners responded right away if I had any questions or concerns and informed me of everything I needed to know prior to my arrival. Just a 2-minute walk to the beach and a 5-minute walk into town made it very conveniently located. The town of La Cruz is a wonderful little town filled with great food and very friendly locals. If you're looking to rent a car, call Gecko car rental in Bucerias, they'll arrange to have you picked up from the airport for free, the people there are great and rentals are fairly priced. This condo is also great because it has a spot in their gated garage for your rental which is located next to an elevator making it easy to transport groceries to the house. I will definitely be returning to La Cruz and will be renting this condo again very soon!!

A Cozy Paradise in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle - Less than 1 Block from the Beach

This place was perfect!! A great 2-BDR condo with a beautiful view and plenty of room for a family of 4-5. We had a great time, as the management of the condominiums were very helpful, kind, and spoke plenty of English. In particular this is crucial for getting around - you need the doorman to be able to call you a cab when its time to commute to the right places around the Puerto Vallarta area. All the doormen were exceptional in this regard and made our stay as easy as can be. The condo was very nicely furnished, decorated in true ocean side fashion, and the bathrooms/kitchen were even nicer than local hotels/resorts. What a great find!! I would not only recommend this place, but I WILL BE BACK!! A+++++

High expectations met.

We had high expectations for our rental. The expectations were met. The rental was clean, well equipped, secure, and comfortable. We made good use of the BBQ on the units balcony — with views of marina and Banderas Bay. Lots of song birds, well groomed grounds. Also found washer and dryer to be a convenient plus. Water good. Great staff, especially Salvador. No negatives! We will return.

Relaxing getaway- exceptional weather

Quiet friendly complex - beautiful pool area- very efficient staff. Overall condo was very nice with large deck area and beautiful view. Our contact person for any issues that came up during our stay was very efficient and prompt.Two blocks to access local transit or security staff always willing to book local taxi for you. Enjoyed the marina area and access to fresh seafood daily.

Wonderful Getaway from Winter!

We were very pleased with the condo which was tastefully decorated and everything you could want was available including lots of towels, linens and a fully outfitted kitchen. The pool was great and so were the other people staying in the complex. Very friendly and open to meeting newbies like us. It is a quiet place and really close to the Marina, great restaurants, and some lovely walking opportunities. La Cruz is a wonderful quiet little fishing village which misses all the noise and busyness of PV and even Bucerias. But when you want some of that excitement it's an easy jaunt down the road on dirt-cheap public transportation. The Sunday market in La Cruz is outstanding and always fabulous baking, fruits and vegetable and all kinds of arts and crafts. Finally, great accommodating owners and property managers, so all in all a most satisfying experience. We are already planning to come back next year, and I would certainly recommend this location to others.

Great Holiday!

Great location for us A couple of blocks to the main road where we could catch the local bus. A couple of blocks the other way and you're at the beach. A couple of blocks into La Cruz where you will find some great restaurants. The condo had everything we could need well appointed , nice comfortable bed, nice big bathrooms and great deck! We did not feel the need to buy water for condo as it is filtered and no problem for us

Great Place to stay

This condo was beautiful. The 2 bed 2 bath had all the things we needed to be comfortable. The views were great and the facilities were very well kept i.e. the pool, grounds, etc. Hardly wanted to venture out but when we did we were always glad. the beach was so so close (2 min walk at most) the local restaurants were tasty and the marina was exceptionally nice. There was a very cool farmers market type deal going on each Sunday at the marina. We went whale watching in the bay right in front of the condo. Almost everything was within walking distance and if it wasn't, the public transportation was an easy and affordable option.
