Grass is overgrown, not at all as advertised, and ac units didn’t work downstairs. This property looks nothing like the pictures probably 10 years ago old photos. We actually moved rentals with a different company and will not ever use this app again

House was great. Had a few things that didn't work but managed without just fine. The only downside was no return communication from host about issues. Had a great trip.

House was nice. Only issues were there is limited parking on the street and on arrival night the neighbor was having a party so spots were hard to find. Also didnt appreciate Saturday morning being woke up to the lawn crew entering the yard and waking everyone up.

House needs pressure washing in backyard the sand bar needs to be cleaned up n grass should be cut before you check in . Inside is clean.

The only issue was that the mini-splits were not working in 3 bedrooms. I am glad there were fans to help keep the house cool and it was not in the middle of summer, but it was disappointing to walk into the house and find this out. Had I known that there was an issue with the mini-splits I would have found another place to stay.All the kids had a good time, but this issue was disappointing and if someone was to ask if I recommend this home to stay in I would say yes, but to confirm that the mini-splits are working prior to committing.

Only issue's I had was floors upstairs needs repaired, yard needs cleaned up, there was no sand pit and there was charcoal dumped in sandpit. Also trow pillows are very dirty.upstairs is hot.other then that it was good.

This place is really cute. Lights would turn off on their own. Had to call property manager to get check in information because his message had failed and he didn’t answer my messages I sent for over an hour.

While the concept is nice, the outside looks nothing like the photo posted on Vrbo! The yard was horrible! Although the grass (& weeds) in the yard was cut, there are extremely tall clumps of weeds all along the fenceline. The garden roses & ferns are being choked out with weeds. Very poor yard maintenance. No edging & no weed eating! The front gate has large holes in it so a dog can get out, easily. Each time our dogs went out, we had to go out with them to make sure they didn't go near that gate! You desperately need a walk way from the curb, all the way up to both sides of the porch, since you can enter from either of the side steps. It's horrible having to walk in the grass, especially at night!! The back yard sandpit area, deck & bar area were all filthy and very uncomfortable to even stand on, let alone, sit on! The hanging lights you have across the deck were all out except 3! The furniture outside, front porch & back yard deck was all filthy or rusted out! Some should be thrown out and the rest, washed off and turned over until a renter is there.The house was pretty much as shown, except, very dusty baseboards, floors not clean, windows dirty, stairway banister was loose. The cook top was dirty, sofa & pillows dusty & dirty! You need a new cleaning service! The clothes dryer did not work at all! I had to hang clothes in the bathroom.We found live roaches inside the home...so you should consider exterminating.My photos won't load...wish they would!

The check in was good didn’t have any issues they sent everything we needed to get into the property. There were issues that I brought up to the owners about some of the games, lights, signs, and fire alarms not installed and working. My daughter were upset about the games not working and the steering wheel broken on the race car game. It did get hot in the house and the upstairs was really hot that unit upstairs couldn’t keep up. They have a lot of fans in the unit to help. The house flooring was popping up and the tile in the bathroom was broken. We had to wash the dishes because they were not clean there was also food left in the cabinets. All things were minor and it was a good house to sleep at because that’s really all we did was stay the night and go back out the next day.

Selfie island

Overall the house was nice the family enjoyed spending time together, however upon arrival we found old dog poop in one of the bedrooms and dog hair none of the outlets in the bathroom worked the lights in the backyard did not come on which we were looking forward to so kids could see at night while playing in the sand. The neighbors has dogs that barks throughout the night and a guy that would sit and watch our every move he even came to the backyard and was leaning on the fence watching us . I have reached out but since it was not soon enough they aren’t going to do anything about it ! Also the sign in the front yard is not up seems like they just sat it in front of the house. I wish I would’ve read reviews first …..

Good space for big family vacation.

We had a few mixed feelings about this property but overall it worked for us. It’s not the best neighborhood in Galveston and we were wary of some of the neighbors but no one gave us trouble and it was all perfectly fine. The neighbors on both sides had outside dogs that barked through the night. We agree with other reviewers that the DIY was a pretty shabby job and we also lost power requiring a hunt for the breaker box. Before our stay, I sent several messages without receiving any response. However, when we needed to call the numbers provided for help during our stay, they picked up right away and were very helpful. We didn’t have trouble with the washing machine like in previous reviews but the dryer wasn’t great and took forever to get clothes dry. The triple bunk bed was super awkward and not ideal but we made do. The kitchen was really well supplied and we were able to make a lot of meals easily during our stay which we really appreciated. Overall, some minor issues but this was a good property for our big family vacation with multiple couples, kids, and babies, and a good price too.

No central air

Arrival got off to a rocky start when we arrived and the house was unlocked. We got settled and went to the store. But when we returned we discovered we were given the wrong code for the front door. We were locked out. We contacted the manager who gave us the code to the key box so we’re able to retrieve the keys. Upon entering the home, we discovered there was no power into of the three bedrooms downstairs. Upon contacting the manager again, he informed us that a maintenance person was requested to come at 11 AM the next day. This was winter time in Galveston and the home uses space heaters. Luckily, we located the breaker box and resolved the issue ourselves. However, throughout our stay, the breaker kept tripping, and we’d have to go outside to flip it back on.This is something I wish that was in the description of the property before we booked because we would not have stayed during freezing weather with only space heaters available.This is an older home with squeaky floors and it looks as though the renovations are mostly DIY so there are some quirks. Such as doors not level, holes in stair trim and uneven vinyl flooring (trip hazards). The “ selfie” areas are cute.The kitchen had ample space for our family, the house sleeps 11, however, there were only five forks available for meals. There are plenty of trash bags and dishwasher pods, which is nice as some places just leave one each.The washing machine does not work. Never tried the dryer.There is a television do

The grass wasn’t mowed. Couldn’t really enjoy outside. The dryer made this terrible noise when drying. You could hear it over the tv. The bedroom doors were loose on the hinges and hard to close. Overall it was an okay place though. Nothing a little work couldn’t fix.

We visited Galveston for a soccer tournament and decided to book this property more for our kids. The selfie decor was what sold me. Our kids loved the designs of the rooms they stayed in and the games supplied to keep them occupied. On the decor side, this was great, however there were some things I was disappointed in. The master bed was very low to the ground and made loud awful noises every move you made. We brought our 3 month old baby with us and unfortunately I could not sleep in the master because the bed made so much noise it woke her up several times and the ceiling fan light started fluttering on and off randomly at night. I attempted to sleep on the pull out couch upstairs and that was no better. Needless to say, I left our stay as one very tired mama. The dryer was not working which was inconvenient. The front and backyard was not maintained to match the pictures online. I do wish there was more than one towel per guest provided, especially since the dryer didn't work and supplies such as paper towels were provided. It's the little things. The overall stay was decent.

Upon arrival noticed the grass wasn’t cut. I had booked the property maybe 2 wks out so how can I arrive at “selfie island” and the grass is extremely high. Also had dish drain problems that’s was giving a horrible scent. Eventually made contact with the maintenance team. The guy came and handled all issues immediately. Rooms are good. Had a decent stay at selfie island.
