The space
Selfie Island Ave is a 4bd/2ba home that sleeps 11 guests! A Queen-sized bed in the master bedroom(Throne Room), Twin-sized bunkbeds in the 2nd bedroom(Arcade Room), with a Tri-level bunkbed in the 3rd bedroom(Jungle Room), and lastly a Full-sized mattress in the 4th bedroom(Moon Room)!

If you love taking selfies, this is the place for you! Only a couple minute drive to Seawall Blvd, this multi level home boasts a ton of added amenities and details!

Our floor plan allows for family fun activities while dining comfortably, enjoy the large Smart TV and some of your favorite board games! Our upstairs is equipped with a large family room with a Smart TV and great opportunities to relax and have a great time! One large bath towel, and hand towel provided per guest. Equipped with a Keurig (pods not included), kitchen aid mixer, crock pot, pots and pans, and plenty of bakeware, dishware, wine glasses, and more!

The Throne Room (Master Bedroom) - Step into regal elegance in our Throne Room, where you'll feel like royalty.

The Arcade Room (2nd Bedroom) - Get ready for endless fun and nostalgia in our Arcade Room, a vibrant space packed with entertainment.

The Jungle Room (3rd Bedroom) - Immerse yourself in a lush, exotic escape with our Jungle Room, a verdant paradise. This room boasts a rope swing from the ceiling, with tropical foliage, and natural elements.

The Moon Room (4th Bedroom) - Blast off into cosmic adventure with our Moon Room, an otherworldly space perfect for dreamers.

We are available 24/7 for or guests and are one phone call/ text away! We have a smart lock equipped for an easy entrance and provide a detailed check-in message the morning of your arrival!

We are pet-friendly for 2 doggos, but require that you inform us and pay a pet fee of $150.00 and agree to our pet rules.

* No parties, any events must be disclosed with prior approval.
* Cameras are present and pointed at entry points of our properties, we do not have ANY interior cameras.

House was great. Had a few things that didn't work but managed without just fine. The only downside was no return communication from host about issues. Had a great trip.

Only issue's I had was floors upstairs needs repaired, yard needs cleaned up, there was no sand pit and there was charcoal dumped in sandpit. Also trow pillows are very dirty.upstairs is hot.other then that it was good.

House needs pressure washing in backyard the sand bar needs to be cleaned up n grass should be cut before you check in . Inside is clean.

Cute place

This place is really cute. Lights would turn off on their own. Had to call property manager to get check in information because his message had failed and he didn’t answer my messages I sent for over an hour.

The check in was good didn’t have any issues they sent everything we needed to get into the property. There were issues that I brought up to the owners about some of the games, lights, signs, and fire alarms not installed and working. My daughter were upset about the games not working and the steering wheel broken on the race car game. It did get hot in the house and the upstairs was really hot that unit upstairs couldn’t keep up. They have a lot of fans in the unit to help. The house flooring was popping up and the tile in the bathroom was broken. We had to wash the dishes because they were not clean there was also food left in the cabinets. All things were minor and it was a good house to sleep at because that’s really all we did was stay the night and go back out the next day.

Selfie island

Overall the house was nice the family enjoyed spending time together, however upon arrival we found old dog poop in one of the bedrooms and dog hair none of the outlets in the bathroom worked the lights in the backyard did not come on which we were looking forward to so kids could see at night while playing in the sand. The neighbors has dogs that barks throughout the night and a guy that would sit and watch our every move he even came to the backyard and was leaning on the fence watching us . I have reached out but since it was not soon enough they aren’t going to do anything about it ! Also the sign in the front yard is not up seems like they just sat it in front of the house. I wish I would’ve read reviews first …..

Good space for big family vacation.

We had a few mixed feelings about this property but overall it worked for us. It’s not the best neighborhood in Galveston and we were wary of some of the neighbors but no one gave us trouble and it was all perfectly fine. The neighbors on both sides had outside dogs that barked through the night. We agree with other reviewers that the DIY was a pretty shabby job and we also lost power requiring a hunt for the breaker box. Before our stay, I sent several messages without receiving any response. However, when we needed to call the numbers provided for help during our stay, they picked up right away and were very helpful. We didn’t have trouble with the washing machine like in previous reviews but the dryer wasn’t great and took forever to get clothes dry. The triple bunk bed was super awkward and not ideal but we made do. The kitchen was really well supplied and we were able to make a lot of meals easily during our stay which we really appreciated. Overall, some minor issues but this was a good property for our big family vacation with multiple couples, kids, and babies, and a good price too.

No central air

Arrival got off to a rocky start when we arrived and the house was unlocked. We got settled and went to the store. But when we returned we discovered we were given the wrong code for the front door. We were locked out. We contacted the manager who gave us the code to the key box so we’re able to retrieve the keys. Upon entering the home, we discovered there was no power into of the three bedrooms downstairs. Upon contacting the manager again, he informed us that a maintenance person was requested to come at 11 AM the next day. This was winter time in Galveston and the home uses space heaters. Luckily, we located the breaker box and resolved the issue ourselves. However, throughout our stay, the breaker kept tripping, and we’d have to go outside to flip it back on.This is something I wish that was in the description of the property before we booked because we would not have stayed during freezing weather with only space heaters available.This is an older home with squeaky floors and it looks as though the renovations are mostly DIY so there are some quirks. Such as doors not level, holes in stair trim and uneven vinyl flooring (trip hazards). The “ selfie” areas are cute.The kitchen had ample space for our family, the house sleeps 11, however, there were only five forks available for meals. There are plenty of trash bags and dishwasher pods, which is nice as some places just leave one each.The washing machine does not work. Never tried the dryer.There is a television do

House was nice. Only issues were there is limited parking on the street and on arrival night the neighbor was having a party so spots were hard to find. Also didnt appreciate Saturday morning being woke up to the lawn crew entering the yard and waking everyone up.
