Overall great stay

The house is stocked with all the dishes/extras you could need. Location is perfect. We were right across from the park and a block from the beach. Our family loved our stay.

Grandkids 1st Vacation

The grand kids loved the house and all the room-we were close to all the fun things to do and were able to brings the grand pups also. It was a wonderful vacation and I'm glad we had a chance to enjoy our time.

GREAT VACATION PLACE

Second stay with Walt and Vicki - we love the house and the location. House is always welcoming when we stay in Galveston. Fits our family and has plenty of space. Garage for the vehicles and beach stuff for easy storage during your stay. We love the park being across the street made it great for our littles when we needed a beach break. We look forward to staying with them again next year.

Close to everything

Great place with plenty of room and the host provides almost everything. Shampoo, conditioner, towels, pillows, tennis rackets, grill, dishes, etc. Absolutely NO complaints.

Great place for your vacation stay

Stayed over Memorial Day weekend and then the rest of the week. Place was great as it was super close to many things that we did with the littles. Able to take them to the park and splash pad and walk to the beach and come back without having to take the car and find parking. Property is nicely positioned that it is far enough away from the main road that you don't hear that traffic but great proximity to walk to beach each day. Found our new rental for Galveston trips.

Bachelor party Rental Review

The house was directly in line with it's description on the advertisement. Walter was able to accommodate requests we made due to travel arrival times. Place is centrally located in the Galveston area allowing quick access to many amenities (Bars, Restaurants, Stores etc. ) would highly recommend people check this rental out if you are looking for a stay.

4th of July 2013 Family Vacation

The rental was awesome. Short walk to the beach and right at the Pier and restaurants. The house had everything you could imagine. Plenty beds, linen, towels etc. I brought things that I thought would not be there and Vicki and Walt had it all. Thanks for making our vacation a home away from home. THE WILLIAMS

Perfect Location

Absolutely loved the location. We were within walking distance to so many activities. The beach, Pleasure Pier, restaurants and a park that included a splash pad. The place slept 9 of us. A very well stocked kitchen. The sofa in the living room was great and we loved sitting on the back porch. Our only complaint was the mattress in the downstairs bedroom was awful.

Summer Getaway

We stayed here Tuesday through Saturday. The check in process was easy and size of the house impressive. We ate out twice and used the large kitchen for all other meals. Our teenagers took the super chill 2nd floor and parents 1st floor. The location was perfect for our teenagers and dog with a skatepark and dog park across the street. My husband and I took morning walks to the beach and through the neighborhood with the dog. The park, beach, splash pad, Pleasure Pier, restaurants, shops, are within walking distance from the house. The extra large garage with opener is a nice amenity. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

Family vacation

The only issue we had was the property was a little dirty. We had to wash dishes before using due to mold on them.

We want to assure our guests that there is not and any mold on our dishes and never has been. Our house was built it 1920 and has a few defects but it is always clean and sanitized before our guests arrive. Please look at our other reviews an try to ignore this one from a guest that broke items in our house.

Great location

We loved the beach house for our first trip to Galveston. The kitchen was good for eating in, lots of space for the kids and easy access to the beach. It was an extra bonus to have a garage. There were kids beach toys so we did not have to purchase any. There were tennis rackets to take advantage of the park across the street. Our dog was welcomed!

Family Christmas Getaway

Walt and Vicki's house was perfect for our extended family's Christmas get-together. The location doesn't get any better: one block from the beach, walking distance to restaurants and the Pleasure Pier which the kids loved, a park across the street with a playground, skate park and dog park. The house was great as well - plenty of room to easily accommodate the nine of us for sleeping, eating, and socializing. The private back yard is a plus if you have a small dog. Communications with Walt were great. We will be back.

Great location, family friendly, great price!

Our stay at the house was a pleasant one. Our group had 8 adults & 4 children and it was just enough room. The house is in a great spot, the children's park even has a splash pad. You are walking distance from beach, stores, eateries, etc! The house had mostly everything we needed. Would've like to see more pans to cook in, but we made do! Plenty room! Only downside is that the stairs are a little steep. The beds were comfy and sheets were very clean. The a/c is nice and cold!! Walt quickly replied to all my questions & concerns. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Galveston.

We respond quickly to our guests requests. We just ordered a new set of pots and pans and sorry but they came in right after this guests stayed. We now have almost two of each type now.

Great location and plenty of space!

We had four adults and three kids (one in a wheelchair) and were able to navigate. There are three steps into the house so we carried him up the entrance, but downstairs was large and a large bedroom on the first floor allowed plenty of space for his twin size specialty popup bed. Easy walk to the beach and pleasure pier. No easy access to beach for the wheelchair, but we were able to navigate the stairs and beach itself has a long shallow area easy for sitting in the water. Kids and adults had a blast. Washer and Dryer were a must and thankful they were there. House had everything you would need for a stay. Nice small enclosed backyard/covered patio as well. Walt stayed in touch before and after the trip.

Nice location

Location is nice close to the beach. But property was not clean when we arrived. Within 5 min of being there my daughter chocked on large pieces of hair/dirt balls and a plastic hair tie. House feels overpriced for what you get. Downstairs bed is not comfortable and very out dated. The rooms upstairs don’t all have doors. It’s more 3 bedrooms

Please try to ignore this guest and look at our other reviews. House has brand new flooring and brand new pit group couch downstairs. Floors upstairs and downstairs are vacuumed and swept thoroughly before each stay. This guest actually paid to stay an extra day.

Galveston Getaway

You can't beat the price and the location of this place. Its convenient to the beach and located across from a splash pad, park, and skate park for the kids. The skate park stays open till 11 and it usually has some older kids/young adults out until it closes, but all of them were really nice and great with the kids watching. They even answered questions my kid had and gave him some tips. The house is a bit dated, but makes up for that in space provided. There are tvs in the rooms as well, just limited viewing options. My wife did clean some portions of the house when we got there that weren't cleaned the best, but she also owns a cleaning business. Cabinets were well stocked with necessary dishes and apploances for our group of 7 and more. The washer and dryer saved us on our 5 night stay. The communication with the host was easy as well. Would consider renting again if we go back down there.

Thank you for the review. We have Xfinity TV with 140 channels and all the local channels so we are unsure of the limited viewing comment. House is cleaned before every stay including vacuuming, sweeping and swiffering the entire floor and sanitizing the bathrooms. All appliances cleaned for your stay. House was built in 1920 and we are pet friendly so there might be an occasional missed dog hair..

Great location

Location is great. Unfortunately when we went it was raining and cold but the nice thing about this house is it has two living room areas. One was upstairs and one downstairs so we didn’t feel crammed in on our rainy days. We did have one day without rain and the park across from the house was a hit with all of my grandsons. Extremely nice park across from the house. The beach and the Pleasure Pier is also an easy walk from the house.

Vicki and Walt already have a lovely beach front property in Sea Isle on the West End of Galveston. We decided to purchase a home close to the pleasure pier and skate park for our guests that like to be closer to the action in town.
