The house is in a great location… easy for walking and accessing local sites. We Ubered in and out of town with ease. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

Great place, clean and spacious with a responsive host. We had 4 but could’ve slept at least 2 more comfortably. Restaurants and grocery stores were a 10-15 minute walk, with metro bus stop right in front of the house. Having a garage was a definite plus too.

Beautiful Property and Great Experience

We were very impressed with the property. It was renovated and decorated nicely with a beautiful and very functional kitchen, impressive bathrooms (we loved the sky lights!), and a clean homey feel. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. Their responsiveness made our trip extra special. I highly recommend staying here!

The house was very nice and in a good location. A bus stop is very close, otherwise the metro subway is only about a 15 minute walk (and right near a Trader Joe's). Everything was clean and comfortable and Annie was very responsive when we contacted her with a few questions. Overall a very nice experience for my wife, three children, and myself.

Wonderful!

My wife, two teenage children, and I stayed here for a week of sightseeing in DC. It was perfect. The house is a short Uber ride away from all the sights. The house was cozy and well stocked. Host was communicative and helpful. We loved staying here and would happily return. Master bathroom shower is 10/10! Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful Home

We stayed here to see the sights in D.C. and to attend a sports event in Virginia. The location is close to the sights in D.C. and it was a fairly easy drive to Virginia. The home is clean with new floors, tile, etc. Very comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. The back deck has a nice view and was great for breakfast and sitting out in the evenings.

Great stay

Our entire family enjoyed our stay! Everything was as pictured. Kitchen was fully stocked. Everything was clean. Location is great. Depending on your activity level, it is walkable to many tourist sites, including the Capital. Scooter and bikes readily available. Walkable to numerous stores and restaurants. Safe area. Our kids even got to play basketball with some kids at a nearby school. Only thing to be aware of is the water can get scalding hot. We all would like to return again! Great hostess and communication

Overall, it was equivalent to a hotel stay. Check in lacked essential instructions as far as parking. The owners utilize the garage while we stayed and it made me a bit nervous not knowing when others were around since presence was never made known Essentials were lacking around the home (I.e. Paper towels, cooking tools, additional towels, dishwashing detergent and dishwasher pods). The washing machine and dryer area was kept locked so there was not a way to wash anything to reuse. Extra linens were found in a spare room closet on the third day but this was never notated, it felt like plundering to try to find. The home was beautiful, but it felt like we were intruding into someone’s space with their storage in ever room. Not very welcoming.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your stay felt less welcoming than we intended and that some aspects of the experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The home was stocked with more than 10 bath towels and 10 hand towels for guest use. Additional linens were also available in the home. We apologize if their location was not immediately apparent. Regarding parking and the washer/dryer, both are addressed in the listing description. Garage access is available upon request, as many of our guests visiting the DC area do not travel with a vehicle. Similarly, washer and dryer access is reserved for longer-term stays not a weekend stay and is noted in the listing details. As this is a vacation rental within a primary residence, guests may notice some personal belongings and storage items in certain areas of the home. While we strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment, we understand that this style of accommodation may feel different from a dedicated vacation property or hotel. We appreciate your comments and will review how we can better communicate these details to future guests.
