I originally trained as a general and bariatric surgeon, but unfortunately, I suffered a back injury that left me unable to operate. Prior to my injury, my wife and I had purchased, furnished and made available for rent a townhome in Gainesville, GA. We did this to help provide quality housing to some of the traveling nurses coming through our little city during COVID. After I took my medical retirement, we decided to pivot and lean into this venture.
Monarch Haven Homes is a mid-term rental company dedicated to providing comfortable, fully equipped homes for people in transition. Whether guests are traveling for medical reasons, work, or recovering from an unexpected loss at home, the focus is on creating a calming home base where they can truly rest.
Originally founded as 919 RN Homes, the company began by serving traveling medical professionals and patients seeking care, then grew to support a wider range of guests as the Northeast Georgia market expanded. Today, Monarch Haven Homes welcomes anyone who needs a stable, high-quality place to stay for longer than a typical vacation rental but shorter than a traditional lease, with a special emphasis on empathy, privacy, and ease of stay.
Each Monarch Haven property is thoughtfully set up as a turnkey home: fully furnished, with all utilities and high-speed Wi-Fi included, so guests can arrive with a suitcase and settle in right away. This quiet neighborhood is only a 5 minute drive to the staff parking lot at NMGC and is a short drive from the Gainesville City Square. You'll have quick access to the I-985 which can take you north to the Appalachian mountains or south to Atlanta, about an hour away. Lake Lanier surrounds Gainesville, so there are plenty of Lake Life activities nearby. You will be just minutes from the best restaurants in Gainesville.

We've been hosting traveling professionals for over 4 years, and we picked this property specifically to accommodate them. Our goal is that this home away from home will help you to be productive, to rest and to be restored while you are in Gainesville.
It is important to our guests that they get a good night's (or day's) sleep, so there are luxurious Queen-sized beds in every bedroom with soft, cotton linens. Blinds and blackout curtains are there to keep out the light, allowing for better sleep.
There is a full kitchen with full-sized refrigerator/freezer, oven, 4-top stove, microwave and dishwasher. There are also a washer and dryer in the unit.
There is a pool in the condominium complex open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
