Welcome to Dogwood Cottage!
This beautifully restored 1940s home sits in one of Columbia’s most charming and historic tree-lined neighborhoods. With 2,400 sq ft of bright, open living space and high ceilings throughout, it’s perfect for family or friend gatherings. Nearby are shops, restaurants & downtown. Mays Park with pickleball, splash pad, and playground is just a short walk away!

This newly renovated home by local designer Mary Lauren sits on Trenholm Rd., a main thoroughfare between downtown Columbia and Forest Acres shopping and restaurants. It can be busy during rush hours and quiets down at night.
As you enter, the main living room and kitchen greet you with bright natural light and beautiful original windows from 1940. Cook dinner in a gorgeous kitchen with Taj Mahal Quartzite countertops and everything you need to bake or cook up something special.
Spend evenings in the sunroom playing board games, bumper pool or poker while making a drink at the mid-century style bamboo bar. Take dinner outside to the back patio or enjoy a conversation by the gas fire-pit and Adirondack chairs. After a long day, retreat to the wonderfully decorated bedrooms for your beauty sleep!
With 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 luxurious baths, all renovated, Dogwood Cottage comfortably sleeps 10.

If you are traveling from out of town to stay at the cottage, please check the location of Columbia carefully. There is much to do and see, it can also be an amazing hub and central location if you are looking to do day trips to Asheville, Greenville, Charleston or Charlotte.
Our favorite things to do in Columbia:
- Soda City Market on Saturday Morning
- Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Gardens
- Take a boat ride or paddle board on Lake Murray
- Walk downtown Main Street for dinner
- Go to a Fireflies Minor League baseball game
- Congaree National Park
- Columbia Museum of Art
- See a show at The Koger Center
This is a family friendly neighborhood and home, please do not book if you’re looking to host a large event or party.
You will receive a “boarding pass” upon confirmation with guidebooks, property specific details, check in / parking instructions and more! You can share this link with anyone in your party for access to the details!
Please note that if your stay is longer than 3 weeks, you will be required to pay an additional cleaning fee. This will be sent through a money request.
We have a camera located on the garage door which monitors everyone entering and exiting the house, as well as the front yard.
The garage & fireplace are not for guest use.

The maximum occupancy that is shown in the listing includes any and all visitors that will be at the home. Over-occupancy or unauthorized events will result in IMMEDIATE eviction without refund. Any guest who refuses to vacate when instructed will be treated as a trespasser.
No parties, events, or gatherings over the listed occupancy are allowed under any circumstances. Bookings made under false pretenses will be denied access with no refund.
You must be 25 years of age or older in order to book one of our homes.
While we ask a series of screening questions to all guests, local guests are subject to additional screening steps, including a phone call. We reserve the right to cancel any guest reservations at our discretion.
Quiet hours are from 10PM until 8AM every day of the week. We have zero tolerance for noise complaints and multiple violations will result in immediate eviction without refund.
No smoking or vaping inside of the home under any circumstances. You will incur an additional fee of $500 if you smoke within the home + the cost of any damages. If you smoke outdoors you must dispose of any debris safely, do not discard anything in the yard or patio.
No illegal substances or activities on the premises.
Pets must be approved in advance. We charge a pet fee for up to 2 pets at all of our pet friendly locations. If there is evidence of any undisclosed pets in the home (pet friendly or non-pet friendly), you will be charged for cleaning + any additional damages.
If the property is left in an unusually dirty condition that requires deep cleaning beyond our standard turnover, an additional fee will be charged to cover the extra housekeeping costs.
Early check in and late check out for up to 2 hours is available per calendar availability, at an additional cost. This must be requested through your boarding pass, and we will approve / decline after reviewing our cleaning schedule.
Do not tamper with smoke detectors, security devices, or Wi-Fi equipment.
If personal items are left behind a fee of $25 + shipping costs will be charged back to you.
