Nice stay

A great place to stay with all the comforts of home.Friendly and helpful owner with a home in a beautiful quiet and peaceful setting. Lots of extras pool, corn whole and shuffle board added to our family’s enjoyment.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home on Paradox Lake. The house was well-stocked, comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. Mike and Robin were excellent and accommodating hosts. We hope to return!

Nice property

They house itself was very nice. Great screened in porch for meals. The beds however were very uncomfortable.

Although we replace the two Queen mattress's on a regular cycle, we always communicate that the bunk beds are for smaller framed people (children) When renters try to fit larger people into these bunk beds, I can understand them being uncomfortable. If it was one of the Queens..... We wish you had communicated this immediately as we keep a spare ready in case of an emergency such as a sickness or nocturnal uresis.

Great vacation in adks!

Had a great time at property. Beautiful views of lake from house and fire Pit. Very kid friendly with high chair available and lots of games for my daughter. Would highly recommend!

Great Week

Very clean and comfortable Cabin with many things to do! Great place to have a vacation with your family because has lots of room inside. Would stay there again when I'm looking for a place to stay in the Adirondacks.

Very relaxing,very friendly neighbors great lake

Just like home. Lake is very clean with a nice beach for the kids. All the water equipment you will need including chairs for a sitting lakeside.

We had a wonderful time at the Paradox lake house! There’s so much to do for kids. We enjoyed the tree swing, pool table, darts, toys, and of course playing in the sand and swimming. The beach is a very short walk from the house. The house very clean and was spacious enough for my family. Mike suggested some fun activities nearby such as hikes, and a buffalo farm. We hope to visit again!

We've been renting homes in the Schroon & lake George area for decades and this was, hands down, one of the nicest.It's a thoughtful, and immaculate and well taken care of home. They have EVERYTHING you need. They even have good knives, which I have never found in a rental.AND the posted pictures are a true representation of the home, no surprises on arrival.They have thought of everything (but you have to bring your own fishing gear).We were in, or on, the lake every day.We had campfires with smores and watched the shooting stars most nights. We played pool, and Clue, and ping pong. The couches are comfortable and like new.The beds are comfortable and like new. The Decore is charming and not fussy. And the wood!!! Incredible!!! I would just gaze at the vaulted, open beam, trussed ceiling & the wood floors. My kind of art!! This home is not private, but it feels private. The landscaping and the straight open field to the beach give you an unobstructed view to the lake. The beach itself is sand and was a luxury.Mike is kind and funny and helpful and gave us our space.We haven't had this much fun or laughed this much in a long time. Thank you

Paradox Gem

“Just a dream” is an incredible cabin on the best lake in the Adirondacks! This place really is all that it’s cracked up to be and the neighbors are as lovely as the home itself. Mike and Robyn are great owners and are hands on with any questions you may have. My wife, kids and I absolutely loved the accommodations and are already looking forward to next year!

Great get away!

Just a Dream is a wonderful truly authentic Adirondack experience. We had such a wonderful time with our grandson. Truly priceless! Spending time at the beach, kayaking, and fishing! It was everything we hoped it would be! Thank you for sharing your home!

Truly a Dream!

We had a wonderful stay at Paradox lake!! The house is lovely and well maintained. The screened in porch is perfect for hanging out day and night, living room is big and great for rainy day lounging, and there is plenty of sleeping space. The property is beautiful with shared beach and gorgeous mountain views over the amazing lake! Overall, was the perfect place to stay with friends, family, and young children.

Thoroughly delightful

The kids loved the swing and the lake. We can't say enough good about the location and amenities. Mike was responsive and helpful. It was perfect for our crew and we already want to go back. Just make sure to bring plenty of bug repellent.

Fantastic Family Vacation

Our family of 4 adults and 4 children had a fabulous vacation. The house is beautifully decorated and clean and larger than it looks in the pictures. The property is large and well maintained and we stayed right there the entire week and didn’t leave the property. We swam, boated, played, relaxed and had campfires every day. Mike and Robin are friendly, available and super hosts !!!!!

Gorgeous Adirondack Cabin

We absolutely loved our stay at Mike and Robin’s “Just a Dream” cabin. The house is beautiful, with plenty of games and a pool table on the porch. The screened-in porch is a wonderful place for dining. The kids had a fantastic time kayaking and swimming in the lake. All the beds are comfy and the house is very clean and well stocked. Mike was super helpful and responsive to our questions. We hope to go back next summer!

Myself, two brothers and father rented for the week. Such a beautiful house and property with pleanty to do on site from lake activities to playing pool and grilling. The entire home is beautifully kept and has every ammenity you can imagine needing. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone is very friendly (when you see them as its a very quiet area).The view from anywhere on the property or inside looking out was beautiful as well!Mike was an awesome host, funny and friendly as they come! We look forward to renting again as this truely is a one of a kind property!!PS- Highly suggest asking about his motor boat to rent, made the lake expriience that much better!- The Fear Family

A true gem

Our family had the perfect vacation at Just a Dream. The place is very clean, modernity renovated, and well stocked with kitchen items and more game options than you could imagine. The pool table was the biggest hit, and the screened in porch is amazing. The beach is truly down the front lawn, and the sand and floating dock were the favorites of our 7 and 2 year-old. Mike greeted us shortly after our arrival and answered all our questions. We got to know some of the neighbors, too, which was a real bonus. This is a family spot, and we would love to return soon.

Very comfortable house

This house was just right for our family of 4 adults - not too big and not too small. The kitchen is excellent, the living room big and pleasant, and the screened-in porch wonderful. We ate all our meals outside on the porch, which is the location of the only sizable table in the house. We slept very well - it was very dark and quiet at night. The lake is lovely, but is a distance from the house down a long open lawn. Unfortunately, this summer has been very very rainy in the Adirondacks, and this turned large parts of the lawn into a sodden mess. This made the walk back and forth from the house to the lake a bit unpleasant, although it didn't keep us from enjoying swimming and kayaking. There were also a lot of mosquitos, presumably due to the completely soaked lawn. So between the rain, the mud, and the mosquitos, we didn't get to spend as much time outside as we would have liked. The neighbors (who were very nice and friendly) told us that this year has been unusually wet, so I suspect that we simply had bad luck. We did have a lovely campfire one night, and got in some good star gazing. The owners were very responsive when we had questions, and they had provisioned the house very well. We had a lovely time, despite the weather.

Lots to do!

The cottage has a nice view of the lake and a short walk to the beach. The beach is shared with a few other houses, and while there were a few families on the weekends it was pretty quiet during the week. Everyone was very friendly. The property is essentially flat which was very important having my mom there. We rented the 2 boats which were a big hit.. There were some weeds between shore and the swim raft which the kids didn't mind. Saw some gorgeous sunsets out on the kayaks and canoe. Enjoyed the pool table and ping pong. Very clean. Close to Schroon Lake to get food and not too far to Lake George.

Best lake house we’ve stayed in

The house surpassed our expectations and was even nicer than in the pictures. Beach was shared with very friendly neighbors who were really only around on the weekend- during the week we felt as if we had the whole beach to ourselves. We spent most of our time floating, kayaking, and playing games on the screen porch. The house was very comfortable and there was so much to do right on the property that we didn’t feel the need to leave. We did take a hike up Severence (very close by). Our 20-something kids enjoyed the stay just as much as we did- it was the perfect place to relax and unwind, read books, laze about and spend time as a family. We didn’t have any little ones with us, but it would be a perfect spot for small kids with a huge lawn to play on, and a sandy beach with shallow water. We would love to stay here again!
