Summary:

Sea Myst is the perfect quiet getaway for up to four people!



The Space:

Very private with no close-by neighbors. Bring your friends along and explore the nearby meadow trails or take a short stroll to Walk On Beach.

 

The living room is situated with a comfortable sectional that takes advantage of the wonderful ocean view. A gas fireplace and a Smart TV with streaming capabilities. The fireplace is controlled comfortably by a remote for you to turn on and off with ease.

 

The kitchen is well equipped with a toaster, drip coffee maker, blender, conventional electric oven with warming tray, induction cooktop and more to make you feel right at home. By the kitchen, the spiral staircase takes you up to a loft with a small office space. Bring your laptop to get some work done on your getaway!

 

Each bedroom has a California King bed with a TV and wrap around deck access. Great ocean views from each room. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom and an electric fireplace with a remote. The back bedroom has a freestanding gas fireplace.

 

Outside on the patio, there is a gas BBQ. Enjoy lunch outdoors on the patio table or take a soak in the hot tub for the most amazing star gazing.

 

There are 2 driveway parking spots. There is a 40amp Tesla vehicle charger. Only Tesla's will be compatible with the charger.



The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, dog park, and 3 recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use. RV's, trailers, or mobile homes are strictly not allowed.

 

The Sea Ranch facility reservations for pool and tennis are available on the Sea Ranch Association website. The trails and beaches are open.



THINGS TO NOTE:

- Due to the spiral staircase, outside fire pit and roof access, this home is not recommended for children.

- This home has a maximum occupancy of 4 people.

- 2 security cameras are attached on the exterior of the home, facing the driveway for security purposes and overlooking the back patio.

- This home is pet friendly. A maximum of 1 dog under 40 lbs may be brought to this home. Please note that there is an additional Pet Fee of $75 that is not included in your final booking cost. To pay your Pet Fee, please contact the Customer Care Team after booking.

Beautiful home in a great location

We had a wonderful, relaxing three night getaway. The home was updated with nice amenities, fully stocked kitchen (gift basket in fridge), great views, very quiet and private and a short walk to trails. We could hear the ocean at night, enjoyed the hot tub and seeing deer and harbor seals.

Awesome place

A very clean and well-maintained house with views of the ocean and a hot tub. An excellent location and sea ranch because you’re very close to a beach. You can walk down onto and have lovely ocean views.

The perfect retreat

Sea ranch is an amazing place for a relaxing vacation. Beach combing, biking, walking/ hiking, returning home to such a well appointed house was such a pleasure. We had everything we needed to make our week one of the best ever birthday trips.

Great House - Stunning Location

The house was perfect for us with beautiful views from every room. We were just a short walk to the ocean bluffs. The electric car charger was a plus as was the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. I didn't want to leave. I thought we would miss having a dining room table, but the large kitchen island was even better for eating and games. Again, with views to the ocean and to the forest.

Very Zen

This is a lovely home situated with space all around for privacy. The layout is spacious and was great for 3-4 people. We loved tge huge deck for watching sunsets!

Girlfriend Getaway

Great setup for two friends or two couples. Two large bedrooms and two bathrooms. Walk to beach. Views from every window. Very modern appliances, lighting, good gas BBQ. Great hot tub. Would definitely consider renting this house again.

Lovely Labor Day Weekend Retreat

We enjoyed our blissful stay at Sea Myst. Newly updated, the unit had everything we needed: utensils, dishes, cutlery, supplies, new appliances, and more. The space was designed for both shared time as a family with two adults and one dog, as well as quiet time on the deck, upstairs in a small office loft, in the spacious and well separated bedrooms, and of course, for walks to the beach and along the paths and bluffs of Sea Ranch. Deer, quail, pelicans, and even a sea otter, were spotted in the long lovely days during our stay. Hope to return again soon!

Get together with another couple

We plan an annual trip to Sea Ranch from Marin County. This year we had friends join us from LA. This home was absolutely perfect for two couples. The only time we moved our car in our three days was to drive one eve to the lodge for dinner! The house was incredibly clean, well equipped, beautiful views, comfortable beds, bluff trail steps way, just very cozy! We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Sea ranch base

Great location close to two sandy beaches with caves and tide pools and the main coastal trail. Far enough from highway 1 that there is no traffic noise. The hot tub, gas BBQ, and fire pit made it fun to hang out in the backyard. Deer came through the yard several times. There was no shampoo or conditioner, but maybe that was due to covid limitations.

Lovely Sea Ranch

This property is just as the pictures indicate. The views were amazing and the hot tub inviting. We even had a fox visit us in the evening. It’s was just a short walk to the beach and trails. My only suggestion would be to use unscented laundry detergent. Many people are sensitive to smells as I am and the scented laundry soap was not pleasant for me. The home is lovely and the kitchen well supplied. I would stay there again.

Comments for the owner: 1. Grill cover on deck is badly torn and should be replaced. 2. Takes a while to warm up in the morning since no central heating. 3. A small indoor table to eat at (in addition to the counter) would be nice.

Sheep and raccoons!

Great location - have stayd at Sea Ranch before. Nice home w/ some updates. Sheep were directly next door and could be disturbing at 5:30 in the morning! Also, 2 got out and were roaming around the property (actually, very cute!) Owners need to update locks on screens as screens were closed but racoons have figured out how to open them and enter the house. It was a very close call!

Peaceful , stunning views, wonderful light and calm

Second time in this home after multiple visits to Sea Ranch, by far my favorite. Lovely views from all rooms, great light. The bedrooms each have access to the terrace from where you have unobstructed views of both the meadows and sea. Cozy comfortable living area with expansive views. We saw deer, rabbits and some sort of wildcat, raptors and voles. Love the fire pit, a classy new addition. Wonderful place. Highly recommend for a true Sea Ranch experience. Also, there were some questions and Alejandra and the 888 line were very responsive, which I appreciate. For mobility impaired; while not technically ADA, house is flat inside and easy access bedroom and bathroom. I had no issue with my walker.

Beautiful Birthday Spent at Sea Ranch

We enjoyed a great stay at Sea Myst. The two master bedrooms were perfect for us, as a couple with their mother who were out to celebrate a birthday. The property was exactly as described in the listing and shown in pictures. We had everything we needed to prepare several meals. We enjoyed using the deck and all it offers to enjoy the sweeping views. The views from inside are beautiful as well. It didn’t hurt that we had some magical days with no fog! we enjoyed seeing the local wildlife from the windows and deck in the morning and evenings. We enjoyed walks on the trails and on the beaches. Our communication with the property manager was also good. We hope to come back in the future. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful home with us.

Management company cancelled on us after check-in and we were settled.

The management company was terrible. They cancelled our reservation two hours after check-in because the garbage disposal was backed up. We offered not to use the sink that was backed up, but they cancelled anyway and moved us to a property outside of Sea Ranch that was subpar and dirty. We spent most of the weekend packing/unpacking and shuffling around. The home was beautiful but overall was a terrible experience.

Seamyst

House was fine, good location, view of ocean. Skimpy on instructions for use of fireplace in living area & heating. No central heat. Instructions for locking front door not correct - figured it out after several attempts. No instructions for TV, etc. Upstairs deck with lots of bird poop, spider webs, and debris - great view, but not comfortable to use. I thought I was renting thru VRBO - was surprised that it was a different agency that contacted me and provided contract - would have gone thru local agency we have used in the past had I known. If VRBO, have always dealt with owner. Camera outside house - who was watching? Agency? Owner? Privacy issue! Thank goodness weather was great, sunsets beautiful!
