The house was clean and well-stocked. I had emailed the owner before arrival regarding the grill and propane availability. We are a party of 8 adults (2 each from CO, CA & WA-they travelled a long way to see the Grand Strand) and our plan was to grill every night for dinners, which we brought it with us: chicken, steak, etc. Got there the first night and the upstairs grill was broken (and was never fixed during our stay) and the downstairs grill was so corroded my husband could not get it hot enough to cook anything. We ordered two crappy pizzas the first night after contacting the owner who could not help: not a great first meal with my company. My budget did not include restaurants for 4 nights with 8 ppl, esp since I asked about it in advance.In addition, the signs "Please don't use the bedspread" was a bit off-putting. It's a beach house rental. Don't have things you don't want used, in it. Also, for the amount of money we paid, the parking should have been included. We parked under the house and not in public spaces. I understand that that's the campground's policy, but that should be covered by the owner and included in the overall charge.
