The Cabin - just what you need for a mountain get-a-way!

This 2-bedroom cabin in Chalk Creek Canyon is perfect for your escape to the mountains with a view of the aspen meadows and Mount Antero. With a king bed and queen bed and a sleeper couch, guests will have a phenomenal stay in this cozy retreat. Enjoy the convenience of a full kitchen and washing machine/dryer during your stay. The 2 bathrooms are equipped with showers and one tub. Bring some wood and start a fire in the fireplace!

NO PETS! Hosts are only allowed to ask the following about a guest’s need for a service animal:
Whether the guest requires their service animal because of a disability
What work or task the service animal has been trained to perform
Hosts may charge pet fees for a guest who is traveling with an emotional support animal
Hosts are allowed to decline the presence of emotional support animals from a stay or Experience

As per our license with Chaffee County, this house is not an appropriate destination for events such as weddings or large parties. Small gatherings which are respectful of the neighbors and neighborhood are acceptable as long as the maximum number does not exceed 4 guests on the reservation. This mountain retreat is licensed to sleep 4. The base price for the cabin is for 2 Guest, extra guests are $15 each per night.

Very peaceful cabin! We were pulling our enclosed trailer and had plenty of room to park the trailer and the truck. We saw mule deer every morning on the property! We were very pleased with the accommodations. Beds were comfy and it was a roomy house.

This is an older, basic property, but it worked well for us. The driveway is great and we were able to manuever our 18 foot trailer with no problems. The gas grill worked well. The kitchen was well equipped and all the appliances worked. The fridge was nice and cold. We cook our own meals so this is important to us.I agree with the other reviewers who say the larger bed's mattress is very hard. We had to move to the smaller bed which was more comfortable.It was nice to have a full size washer and dryer and we took advantage of it to do a load of laundry.The house sits back from the road and it is quiet and feels private.

Very clean, well stocked house. Nice location, easy to find. View was stunning. Check in and out process was simple. Communication with host was always prompt. Will definitely stay here again!!

Property was clean but "mature." Property had a fireplace but no fireplace tools. King sized bed but very hard. My wife actually slept on the couch as the bed was bothering her back and hips.

Hi Gary, The cabin is just a basic cabin no frills just accomodating and inexpensive. There are two beds if one wasn't to your wives comfort, the couch also folds out. As far as the fireplace tools, thank you, I hadn't registered there weren't tools, we will ask the owner to remedy that and get tools.

cell service isn't the best but isn't that the point! Our family has stay here a few different times. We love it! Near four wheeling trails, hot springs and nature! We will be back!

Limited towels and small rooms with no bedside lamps to read but otherwise very well stocked and very comfortable living room furniture.Close to Mt. Princeton trail and the Hot Sorings.

Property was quiet and clean, but I had a few complaints.First, the dining room table had very uncomfortable chairs. I think they were collapsible hard metal.The kitchen faucet sprayed water to the side when turned on, so it got the counter wet, which I had to constantly clean.The shower on the left (the only one I used) has nice pressure, but when you pull up the lever on the spout below, only about 75% of the water goes to the shower head. The rest is lost below, so the pressure is weak.The shower head is located about 5'9", way too low for me. Would be nice to raise it 6" or so.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway!!

The property itself is surrounded by chalk cliffs and Mountain Views that are beautiful! The house has tons of large windows to enjoy the views. While the house isn’t fancy (which isn’t what we were looking for anyway), it had everything we needed and more! It has two large living areas with adequate/comfortable seating, a spacious fully stocked kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, plenty of extra bedding, a full size washer and drier, a garage, a propane grill, a picnic table, and lawn chairs to enjoy the fire pit or just sit outside and enjoy the beauty. The host has done an excellent job of making sure no detail has been missed including vintage touches throughout! We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to returning!

Stephanie, thank you for your truthful review! Sometimes all you need is a clean, comfortable place to lay your head for an economical price. The cabin is just that, it is not advertised as a luxury cabin though if you would like luxury we also rent those types of houses. Please come again to enjoy the majesty of the canyon. The cabin was a prefect spot to unwind after traveling thru Colorado and Utah before our flight home. The cabin is basic. BUT has everything you need. The Cabin was clean and the views are magnificent. Very quiet spot. We would stay here again if ever back in the area
