Sea Breezes North - ¡A solo unos pasos de la playa!

Sentado a solo 100 metros de la playa, Sea Breezes North es acogedor y cómodo desde el momento en que entras por la puerta. Cada lado del dúplex tiene 2 dormitorios, 1 baño y una sala de estar / comedor / cocina. Una pared deslizante única permite el alquiler de ambos lados con un área de comedor común (cuando la pared está abierta). Cada cocina está totalmente equipada. Hay televisión por cable, DVD y wifi, una terraza privada con parrilla y duchas exteriores celestiales a cada lado. La ciudad de Southern Shores se fundó con el voluntariado y sigue siendo atendida por un fuerte equipo de miembros de la comunidad. Es una comunidad fuerte comprometida a preservar una playa segura y familiar, y un área de sonido. El acceso a la playa y al sonido está limitado a los propietarios e inquilinos, por lo que el hacinamiento no es un problema. El acceso a la playa desde Sea Breezes Cottage está a solo 100 metros a pie. Aunque está al otro lado de la calle desde el camino de acceso a la playa, la cabaña se encuentra en una zona estrictamente forzada de 25 mph de Ocean Blvd, lo que hace que cruzar la calle sea fácil y seguro. El lado norte de la cabaña es idéntico a la unidad del lado sur, excepto en la ropa de cama. De este lado, hay un dormitorio que tiene literas más un gemelo adicional. El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama king size. También hay un sofá cama queen size en la sala de estar.

With this property, you are ONLY paying for proximity to the beach, which is so close and convenient! The property isn't as maintained as the other properties around it and the screen door was broken and would not close. A little underwelming. Once we got inside the cottage was just as described. Comfy wooden furniture and everything you could need to cook. I wasnt super excited to read the find print after booking where we had to bring our own sheets, towels, bath mat, toilet paper, paper towels. Didn't want to make beds on vacation, but for the price and location, it was fine. Then the internet didnt work, there are instructions to unplug the router and modem with the wifi info but I couldnt fine them. I messaged Anne, the host, and she was super friendly and very responsive. Turns out the router and modem are in the other unit in the double cottage. She gave me a code, I had to go over to the other unit. I unplugged the router and realized the modem wasnt plugged in. After sometime, I got the internet working. Again, more hassel than one wants as soon as you arrive on vacation. In summary, the King bed has a large dip in the middle, which I was not used to and did not find comfortable. There are too many appliances plugged into the kitchen and when we used the microwave and oven to cook dinner the second night it tripped the breaker... which is also in the other unit as well. Between the property and stormy weather, we made the decision to leave a day early.

Great stay

Very clean place with more than enough amenities. Excellent location and easy walk to beach. The property owner Anne is very nice and easy to talk to. Would recommend to others and would definitely book it again.

Peaceful and so close to the beach

This was our second year staying, and we love this property. It’s exactly as described - we love the old school beach cottage feel. It helps us really disconnect and enjoy the beach. The location across from the beach access is super convenient.

Lovely, quaint beachfront stay!

Perfect spot for a beach getaway! While this property is "no frills", it had everything we needed for a wonderful stay at the beach and has a rustic charm. The location can't be beat - we'll be back!

Perfect getaway

The property was clean and very comfortable. We came during spring break in April so it was quiet and not very busy at all. The beach access was epic! HIGHLY recommend staying here and we hope to be back soon!

Convenient location

Great location. Short distance to Nags Head, Corolla, and Kitty Hawk. Easy to locate. Shopping and amenities close by. Landscaping could use some work as the house was a little hidden. Easy to get to the beach. Overall was convenient and comfortable with the feel of a quaint cottage.

Affordable and great location!

This is an affordable, clean, centrally located property in Southern Shores. It's very dated compared to all of the surrounding houses and could use some cosmetic updating (it's all wood inside with low lighting) and landscaping but it fulfilled the needs for our family trip! It's a short walk across the street to the beach and not far from Kitty Hawk and Duck. If you need to do laundry while staying the closest place we found was in KDH which was about a 20-minute drive. Bring sheets, towels, and a bath mat. Dish towels/paper towels and toilet paper. A mat to put at each doorway could be useful too. The other side of the duplex was rented out and we did hear the neighbors a lot, but I'm sure they heard us too. It's like that at any rental with more than one section. It was not an issue for us. The hostess Anne was very quick to respond to any questions we had! I would choose this rental again!

Comfortable and so close to the beach!

Wonderful old flat top cottage! Very short walk to the beach. Sad that several huge, multistory homes are so close—one was noisy, one had windows that could look directly into our patio area. We lucked out with our duplex neighbors, but that is always an unknown with renting half of a duplex.

Restful and comfortable gateway

The property is lovely. Super clean and very comfortable. Doesn’t feel like rental at all but more like home away from home. It’s a little dark but has cozy lamps in the living room and gets lots of afternoon sun on the kitchen side. Very quiet area and can hear the ocean. Really enjoyed our stay.

Sweet for an authentic space. Dates back to the 60’s

This place has everything you need. All the basics. It’s charming and sweet. If you’re used to bright white and super clean, I would just say that this is like a cabin on the beach. The walk is just about 120yards. You can hear the waves at night with the windows open. The owner is very helpful and is very quick with responses. I have been at $10k places, but this is super special. Rent both sides and you have two kitchen for a feast.

Great location

We enjoyed the location and went to the beach every day which was just about across the road and up some steps. The house reminded me of camping cabins and we were comfortable bringing our own sheets, towels, cooking oil, toilet paper, etc. We also primarily used the outdoors shower.

This cottage was bought by my parents, in partnership with my father's best friend from the navy, Hal. At times it was hard for each to make the payments, but they managed. With 5 kids there was a ready supply of workers to maintain the cottage. Several families from our church also bought cottages or rented cottages regularly and memories of our time on the Outer Banks grew with bonfires on the beach, trips up Jockey Ridge, Easter egg hunts, and more. When the mortgage was finally paid in full, my folks bought the other side of the duplex and Hal bought another place down the beach. Over the years, the cottage has been expanded and updated with heating and air conditioning, dishwasher, TV, and Internet access. My mother, Elly, is the owner and my sisters, brother, and I manage the cottage for her.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Location, location, location.... We are literally across the street from the beach access path, (100 yds to the beach). Shopping, restaurants, entertainment, outdoor activities are within a 10 minute drive . Our beaches are clean and not over-crowded. Sea Breezes cottage has unique charm and comfort individuals, couples, families, girls weekends, guys getaways, fishing and golf trips. Rent both sides for larger groups and open the unique sliding wall to have a large dining area.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This cottage is one of the original cottages built on the Outer Banks in the 1950's, but don't let that scare you away! The cottage has charm, is comfortable, and has been updated to have central heating and air conditioning as well as the basic amenities you would hope for, (dishwasher, TV, internet). Sea Breezes doesn't compete with the new construction, luxury beach homes in the area... but then they can't really compete with our place either.
