Comfortable city stay

Ironworks Urban Retreat was the perfect safe downtown city stay. The host was very accommodating and communicative after I had a last minute change with another booking. There was wine waiting for me after a long stressful drive. Who could ask for better? The Friday farmers market is a must-see in Troy.

We rented 2 units in the building. Both were as pictured, very clean and comfortable. James was great with communication. This was a last minute trip we planned and the booking/check in went ver smoothly.

Beautiful property!

The apartment was gorgeous, all updated appliances and a great kitchen to cook in. Despite an unplanned electrical outage caused by construction, the host was communicative and we were only without power for a couple hours. The neighborhood wasn’t great - we did not feel very safe and ensured no one went out alone, and because of that we probably won’t stay again despite the host and apartment being fantastic.

Easter Weekend

The host was extremely helpful, answering all questions promptly as well as providing detailed information about the area (restaurants, must sees, activities, shopping, etc). The unit was easily accessible with parking. I appreciated having the washer and dryer, multiple tissue boxes, brand new towels, and selection of coffee & tea. I enjoyed the weekend with my son and cooking and baking for him here. Thank you!! I also liked the heater units in the bedrooms & bathroom. Fun weekend and lovely place!

Great Apartment and Amenities

The apartment itself, checkin, wonderful gas range, new appliances, hardwood floors was great. That said, and this is entirely personal, the apartment above is also a VRBO and while I was there, three different groups of people stayed there. It was noisy. Two of the groups went to bed before midnight so at least I could sleep but constant clomping in shoes on hardwood floors, yelling in the hallway...it was very hard to work. I can imagine that perhaps this wouldn't bother many people but be warned.
