Other Things to Note:

This home is a charming, older cottage with many of its original features. While we've renovated the space, we’ve kept elements like the vintage door knobs to preserve the character of the house. Please be gentle when using them—it means a lot to us.
The stove fan, though perfectly functional, makes a loud noise.
Our basement is not remodeled, but it houses the washer and dryer, as well as a dog bed for your furry companions.
We appreciate your understanding and care in preserving the unique charm of our home!

Exactly as described

Charming, cozy but spacious enough for a couple and our two adult children. We were in the area for a funeral and this cottage with its cute little back yard and walking/bike trail was just the respite we all needed.

Pleasant Cottage in a great location

We booked this property to visit family in the area and to show our children DC for the first time. It was ideal for all of this.The home itself was spacious with plenty of rooms and beds for the family. The living space was comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. There was plenty of parking for our rental car plus space for family to drop by and visit once or twice in the evenings.Location-wise, we couldn't ask for more. It was only a 15-20 minute walk to the Ballston-MU metro station, but still felt like we were in a more secluded area (we had deer visit the front lawn while we were there.) The property is also literally right next to the Custis Trail for those in the family who wanted to get in a walk or long run in the mornings.

Great place to stay near The Capitol

We had a great stay as a couple with our 2 dogs. The house was very clean and cozy with thoughtful decorative touches and amenities to make it comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could need. Check-in was easy. The host was very responsive. There is good easy parking (rare in this area!). The neighborhood is nice and feels safe. It is also right on the Custis trail for walking and biking! We were grateful to have a nice place to stay with our pups, with a fenced-in yard too! The only thing people should be aware of if they have mobility issues is that the bedrooms and full bathroom are on the second floor, and the stairway a bit narrow and steep - like a townhouse. We would definitely stay here again.
