Welcome to the Heritage House – A Historic and Charming Retreat on Mt. Washington

This home is a charming 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom residence built in 1920's. Nestled in the scenic Mt. Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh, this home combines classic architectural character with contemporary amenities, offering the perfect blend of history and convenience.

Relax in spacious living areas with many original details, or unwind in the cozy bedrooms designed for your comfort. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing meals, and the updated bathrooms provide a touch of luxury.

IDEAL LOCATION ON MT WASHINGTON: Getting around Pittsburgh from Shaler Street is incredibly convenient, with quick access to the city’s top attractions. The iconic views are steps away (4 min walk). The stadiums, ballpark, and arenas are just a short drive away (6-10 mins). The Universities are easily reachable as well, making the location ideal for visitors to the city's educational institutions. For museum lovers, the renowned Carnegie Museums, Heinz History Center and Andy Warhol are also nearby and easily accessible. Whether you prefer driving or public transit, everything Pittsburgh has to offer is just minutes away!

This Home Features:

MODERN KITCHEN: Newly equipped with stainless steel appliances, ample cookware, and a cozy coffee bar. The dining room comfortably seats 6-8.

INVITING LIVING SPACES: Enjoy the spacious living room that is equipped with a Smart TV featuring Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, along with a sofa and plush seating. For a more relaxed vibe, the sitting room offers a tranquil space to read or enjoy a conversation.

Bedroom 1: King bed, dresser, closet & luggage rack
Bedroom 2: Queen bed, closet and luggage rack
Bedroom 3: Two twins plus a trundle bed, closet and luggage racks.
Additional: A roller bed is located in the office if needed.

BATHROOMS: Full bathroom w/shower and tub upstairs. Full bathroom w/ shower on main floor and half bathroom located in the basement .

CONVIENIENCE: Laundry facilities are available in the basement.

NOTE: ALL BEDROOMS ARE LOCATED ON THE SECOND FLOOR

Heritage House is an impeccably kept property that we could relax in immediately - in the zen-like backyard, the front porch, living room or bonus room. Plenty of space for 8 adults to spread out and not feel crowded. We were too busy with a wedding to enjoy the cellar and games except as an extra bathroom or to do laundry (full size). The kitchen was a little crunchy with a lot of people with their own dietary needs but had a full size frog, freezer, all the basic utensils, cookware & serving ware that we needed. Pittsburgh is known for its hills but the front steps are especially steep for those who may have mobility problems. I'd suggest some chairs or additional luggage racks for the bedrooms as most of us came with 2 suitcases per room; as I age, I appreciate having my luggage raised. John was prompt in answering all our inquiries and is a gracious host. It met our needs perfectly!

Location, Location

This was the perfect place for my wife and I along with my daughter and son-in-law. It was minutes away from the home of our son, daughter-in-law and newborn 1st grandchild. The home was an older home that had several updates, and the small kitchen was great. We did a lot of cooking in it and brought the meals over to my son’s house. It was comfortable and cozy for us and had a large, long driveway that kept our vehicles from parking on the street. It was minutes away from Station Square on the Monongahela River, The City Overlook along Grandview Ave, and Southside along Carson Street. Plus, a few minutes more and we were downtown in the strip district, which is one of favorites places to wonder in the several Italian markets and many other shops. John Anderson, the owner, was wonderful. He responded promptly to any correspondence we sent him and was genuine about us having a positive experience, which we did! The basement, which was cool during the recent cold spell, had a dart board, foosball table and a few other games. When in town next time this will certainly be our happy place to book again. Lastly, it was clean, clean, clean!
