Other things to note
**A quick note about the railroad:** Our cabin is located adjacent to a railroad siding that has been part of Tabernash's history since the community grew around the railroad in the early 1900s. Tabernash was historically an important railroad town, with a locomotive terminal and roundhouse that supported trains crossing Rollins Pass. Today, the siding is used periodically when trains need to pass or be staged. We can go weeks without seeing a train use this track, while other weeks may have more activity.
We personally find the slow-moving trains interesting and think they add a little character to the property, but we recognize that everyone's preferences are different. If the occasional passing train or the possibility of some train noise would be likely to disturb you, this may not be the right property for you. We simply want to make sure guests are aware of the railroad's proximity before booking.
Having personally finished a full renovation, my brother's goal has been to leave our guests with a fully furnished and relaxing experience. We love to explore the mountains by day, skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing and hiking and then kick back with delicious home-cooked meals and cold drinks by the fire at night. As we work to share this experience with others, we want to make sure the home is fully furnished and ready for relaxation. Please let us know if there is anything we are missing!
Entry and Parking: -Please park either off the road in front of the house or on the left side of the driveway. It's important the right Garage bay can be accessed at all times.
-We would suggest using the front door, which faces the road as the best way to get in and out of the house. ***Please keep in mind it snows quite often in the winter. This can mean slippery decks so please watch your step! -We leave one shovel by each door. Please make sure to put the shovels back so that they can be easily accessed! -1 dog allowed, fee based on number of nights. Please provide a picture of your dog, age, breed, and a small description; only well-behaved dogs will be allowed. Dogs are not allowed on beds or furniture.

It’s a Glabin!
The charm of a cabin with the glamour of a gourmet kitchen and comforts all around. We found everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed the Bose speaker, nice to wash clothes after a day out at Devils Thumb. Proximity to everything—especially Devil's Thumb was great. Would stay again.

Aspectos positivos: Llegada, comunicación y precisión del anuncio
The place was nice. The kitchen area was not so clean. The grill was very dirty. The front storm door would rarely latch and would at times open with a gust of wind. The lighting throughout the main level was bad. There was no place to sit for more than 2 people in the living area. There were lots of plates, silverware, cups and glasses as well as things to prepare meals with. It would have been nice to know that frequently used train tracks were within 100 yards of the front door.

Hi David, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the home overall. We also reached out privately after your stay in an effort to better understand your concerns and address any issues, but unfortunately never received a response.
This cabin has been a passion project for my brother and I, and we take a lot of pride in creating a comfortable place for guests to enjoy the mountains. Although we’re new to VRBO, we’ve welcomed guests for years through Airbnb and private bookings. We’re honored to be an Airbnb Guest Favorite with a 4.98/5 rating across more than 60 reviews, and we take feedback seriously because we’re always looking for ways to improve.
Regarding the storm door, as mentioned to you before you checked in, it was damaged by a previous storm and is already scheduled to be replaced. We appreciate you bringing it up.
As for the living room seating, we designed the cabin to make the best use of the available space. In addition to the two-seat loveseat, we provide an oversized bean bag, and the swivel-mounted TV can be positioned toward either the living room or the large, cushioned dining area. We intentionally designed the cabin with multiple spaces for guests to relax, eat, and spend time together rather than having the living space centered entirely around the TV.
Regarding the nearby auxiliary rail line, we do disclose its presence in the listing so guests can take it into consideration when deciding whether the property is a good fit. Activity varies considerably—we’ve gone weeks without seeing a train, while occasionally there may be a couple in a day. The line is part of the historic railroad system in the area, and some guests actually enjoy seeing a train pass as part of the unique mountain experience. We understand, however, that it’s not for everyone.
The comments regarding the kitchen cleanliness and lighting were unexpected, as the home is professionally cleaned before each arrival and we haven’t previously received similar feedback. We would have appreciated the opportunity to address any concerns during your stay, as we’re always happy to help when something isn’t meeting expectations.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback after your stay though and will use it to continue improving the property and the guest experience.
