A Quiet Bit of Paradise

We stayed 10 days in this beautiful property for our belated honeymoon and loved everything. Persita and her dear family were attentive, responsive, and helped make this the perfect home base for our adventure in Curacao. So close to the best beaches, so well-equipped with everything we needed. We had a few needs (additional supplies; help with the grill connection; questions) and help was very prompt and satisfactory. I read on previous reviews about this being a secret gem on the island, and I have to concur. We loved it and hope to return again!

Lovely Stay in the Green Apartment!

We enjoyed our stay on the west side of the island in this beautiful apartment in Westpunt. Our host, Perry, was very friendly and accommodating. It was about a 40 minute drive from the airport. We were happy to have rented a vehicle for our stay here in the Green Apartment. We received directions to the apartment prior to our arrival and it was an easy drive there. We were glad we had stopped at the grocery store after leaving the airport. There is a smaller grocery store in Barber about 10 minutes from the apartment also. We found the apartment to be very exceptional. There is beautiful lighting both in the apartment and also around the pool and in the yard. The apartment is gated and well secured. Perry gave us a nice tour upon our arrival. The pool is only steps away from the apartment. It is a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The bedroom is air conditioned, but the rest of the apartment is not. We had no problem with this as there are lovely breezes which come through the patio doors and keep things quite pleasant. There are ample chairs to sit on outside, also. There was plenty of hot water for showers and the water pressure was excellent. We visited Sol Food for our evening meals on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They are only open on those days and reservations are needed. This restaurant is a short walk from the apartment. Sunshine, one of the owners, is very friendly and happy to assist with information about the area. The food was also very good, especially the pizza! There are also a few other restaurants available, but we drove to those. There is a gas stove and microwave and a full size refrigerator, as well as a grill on the property. The apartment is within walking distance to 2 beaches and there are also so many to drive to. There are 2 National Parks we visited within a short drive, also. We could not get the television to work, but had brought along our Firestick, which gave us access to many channels. There is so much to see and do that one doesn't watch much television anyway! All and all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Malika Apartments!

Highly recommended

Everything about our stay at Malika Apartments was wonderful. We were greeted upon arrival and shown around the grounds and our apartment. The apartment itself was impeccably clean and well appointed, with many thoughtful small touches. The owners were present, pleasant and helpful, but never intrusive. There are many areas within the walled compound to lounge and relax, and the pool was lovely. As we don't always like to eat out at restaurants, we took advantage of the small but functional kitchen and communally shared BBQ grill to make some meals. The highlight was fresh grilled fish bought from a fisherman at Playa Piskado, just a five minute walk away. While you really do need a car to properly enjoy a stay in Westpunt, there are three lovely beaches and several restaurants within an easy walk of Malika. We would be sure to recommend this rental to friends!

Property wasvery well maintained. Apartment was very cute

However we did not have hot water in the kitchen and there was no oven in the unit therefore we used the BBQ alot The bathroom could use a few more shelves to put your toiletries on and in the green room maybe a new shower head with a hand held would be nice. We had a great time and our hosts were always there to please. Would recommend this place for sure👍

Best Place on Westpunt!

This is an amazing apartment on a small resort, with very friendly and helpful owners on walking distance to two beaches. The apartment has a king size bed, that sleeps wonderful and a beautiful bathroom and a kitchen that is very complete. Oh, and not to forget they have a beautiful swimming pool as well. This is about my husband and I, we have been married now since 1997 and have kids together.
We currently live at the west side of the island which is the side where the apartments are located, for us this is the place to be and the feeling of being the entire year on vacation.
