Great place! Very comfortable and clean.

We had a great stay and the condo was exceptional. The master bed was very comfortable. The only complaints are the soap dish had fallen off in the master shower prior to our check in. I did report it. Also, there was only one pan to use for cooking. We typically bring groceries with us, as much as possible, so we can cook some while there and not eat out as much. There was just the one little pan. Other than that, absolutely no complaints other than we had to leave and come home. 😢

Great Stay

Stayed at Island Royale last year too, in a different condo. I would recommend Island Royale. The staff that work there are very nice. This condo was clean and had the supplies necessary for our stay. Of course, love that it is on the beach with the view of the gulf. I really liked the text messaging from the rental company making sure everything was ok and answering any of our questions!

great location

PROS: great location, loved being able to just walk to the beach without having to pack the car. the pools were great and my 2.5 year old loved the kiddy pool which was also heated! had a good size balcony. i loved that the unit had a laundry room so we could do our own laundry without having to leave the room. i loved the 2 full baths. CONS: the floors were so sticky when we arrived so i went and bought a cheap swiffer mop and had to mop the floors twice before the sticky went away and the mop pads were black, this was on the first day we arrived. the fridge door would not stay shut so our food would not stay cold. they had a security person sitting at the front but she could not answer any questions we had. out unit was on the 14th floor but the way the elevator buttons were listed it said P1 instead of 14 so it was very confusing upon arrival. they only give you 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish towel, and 1 trash bag, so we had to go buy all of that stuff.

Awesome view!

This penthouse condo was clean, spacious, well appointed and comes with a spectacular view. The complex is on the beach, with a large hot tub and indoor/outdoor pool. We enjoyed the white sand beach and pool amenities. There is a dedicated parking spot but it is a tight squeeze for a truck or large suv. Our favorite was the large balcony! Great for dinner or drinks overlooking the ocean! Overall we would be comfortable staying here again!

Amazing!

This condo was beautiful! It was so great having 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms. It is right on the beach! The view is amazing. The property manager was very great with communicating. Having a washer and drying worked out wonderful. Note that there is only start up for each item therefore you will need to get extra garbage bags, laundry soup, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. It was also great having an assigned parking spot in the garage that is covered. If we go back to gulf shores, we would definitely stay in the same condo.

Family vacay

Really nice time. Great location. Super clean. Easy check in and checkout. The gulf/oceanview amazing. We really had a wonderful peaceful family vacay with our daughter and grandchildren. I would definitely recommend Island Royale and would stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family enjoyed the short walk to the beach from the condo. The floors in our condo were dirty. They had been swept but not mopped. We only had 2 washcloths in the condo. We also had to go purchase toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and trash bags. The beds were comfortable.

Not worth the money for a penthouse condo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a review on room 105P. This was the 1st time useing this rental company and staying in the penthouse condos. We have stayed at the Island Royal many times, but it has been through actually owners. This room was as the pictures look. But looks can be deceiving. When we arrived it looks nice. On closer expection it was bad. The green couch had rips in it. The pull out bed, I would suggest to buy a queen size air mattress. It was like sleeping on metal. The sitting area outside had 2 chairs and one layout chair. We had 5 people staying with only 3 chairs out side. Maintenance was going on at the building. Being on the top floor and they were working above it was hard just to enjoy trying to watch a movie etc. You may want to pack a cooler as the fridge does not get cold. We had to keep our drinks in the freezer or a cooler. The beds in the rooms were HORRIBLE. The master bathroom tub has rust in the bottom of it. The shower nozzle felt like you were being strung. It needs to be changed. The TVs in the other guest room I am assuming was maybe a 17 or 19 inch tv. The floors were dirty, don’t walk around barefoot or you will be washing your feet before bed. The pool area was in a mess as they were working on it also. When in the pool it had warm water coming in the jets. My family has always loved staying here. But I’m afraid we will be staying somewhere else next year.

Not a great first impression!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First impressions are everything. Our first impression was our front door which was dented up and rusty . My first thought was oh my goodness what are we going to see inside. The inside was outdated, the furniture was warn, the bathtubs had rust on the bottoms of the tubs. The second bedroom, the bed was very uncomfortable and old.

One star at the most, wouldn't stay here again

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first got to the condo, the door looks rough like a door you would see on a crackhouse, loose, no deadbolt, or latch. Inside the unit was nice, nothing extra, no hand soap, dryer didn't work, fixed day before we left, 2nd night there we had groceries and 70+ parents come to find out the one elevator that works of the two, had shut down from locking a family inside, so the 6 of us packing groceries climbed 16 flights of steps, some owners said it's normal, neither hot tubs work, just hot water, i looked in filters to see bandaid and same trash floating everyday of the stay, construction had entrances blocked every day, we even come out to see our black suv covered in concrete dust.... covered, then they used a mop and mop bucket to get some off which just made it terrible, of course when calling ohh thats not us, thats hoa, never seen management the whole stay, for over $1000 a week none of this should had been this way, KEEP LOOKING!!!

The Vacation that chased a tropical storm away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Received a text that our vacation condo was ready for us after covid protocol cleaning. Easy to get in,great location, and great views. We had an issue with the AC, but after notifing Liquid Life that something was wrong, they got someone out to check it out, and then a repair man had it back up and going by that evening. It didn't hinder us whatsoever cause we were at the beach all day. My wife, son, and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it,we'll be back next year if available.

Spring Break 2022

Overall we had an amazing stay at Island Royale! Would book here again! We stayed in the “penthouse”. The view was amazing being on the 14th floor and the elevators were not an issue at all! However, that was the only thing that made it a “penthouse”. The balcony was great to sit on and enjoy the view. Location was perfect ~ walking distance to a few of our favorite restaurants. Having Pier 33 across the street made it convenient to get ice and such. Perfect size for 4 adults. Dishes were dirty upon arrival so we had to wash some things before using. Would have LOVED to have had restrooms around the parking garage area to use as going up 14 floors was quite a hassle every time :) But overall….would stay here again!

Construction site nightmare

Prior to my arrival at Island Royal 105P, Liquid LIfe notified me that the pool would be closed and that painters would be painting the side of the building. They did Not notify me that the entire building was being updated and that scaffolding was hanging off the back of the building. The first morning we had 3 men climb from the scaffolding onto our balcony. They were back again later that day and also another day. They also did not notify us that 1 of the elevators was not working. I received an email while we were there that an electric company worker would be coming the next day and would need to come into the condo. I called Liquid Life to ask what time they would be there. She said she would check and she called back and said she didn't know but to be up and dressed by 8am. That's what everyone wants to do on vacation. I told her that we were unhappy that there was scaffolding and that men had been on our balcony. I said if I had known before hand that I would Not have rented this condo. She did not address this and just seemed to want to get off the call. I understand that buildings need to be updated and Island Royale is one of my favorites. I have stayed there many times. However I would have spent my hard earned money on a different condo if Liquid Life had informed me of everything going on at that building. It was very loud and the parking lot was crowded with construction trailers and trucks. The condo itself 105P needs some updates inside as well. The couch is very uncomfortable and feels like you are sitting directly on springs. The 2 chairs in the living room are not comfortable either. The barstools were the best and that's not saying much. The master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced ASAP. It is so sunk in that you can barely move when you lay down on it. It feels like you are laying in a trough. The only positive during our vacation was the weather and the people we were with. My husband talked to an Island Royale condo owner and he said he owns and rents several condos and he is telling people to stay away from Island Royale during this time because of everything going on. I wish Liquid Life had been as forthcoming as this gentleman and we would have been given the opportunity to stay somewhere else. Liquid Life would have still gotten my money and we would have enjoyed our vacation. We were there Oct 18-24. I tried to leave a review on Liquid Life website but it wasn't posted.

Clean and great location but lots of construction

The three stars I gave it were for the condo itself. Our condo unit was older but clean and well kept. The beds were comfy and the view and location was amazing. However, the island royale building was undergoing construction everywhere. The pool was open but the view was blocked by construction. There was only one elevator working for the whole building. A drill would usually start up in the middle of the day so hope you don’t need to take a nap. They don’t tell you any of that is going on so you might ask. Also the condo was missing a few essentials like hand soap or potholders.

Great condo!

The condo was really wonderful and the view was amazing! Top floor is hard to beat!! We had a full moon on our first night and it made my whole trip. I had two issues: check in was easy, but the timing was not communicated very well. We expected to be in by 3 pm, and when I looked at the email, it said it STARTED at 3 pm. That was difficult with a 3 year old. Our other issue was with the washer/dryer that weren't resolved in a timely manner. Everything else in the condo was wonderful.
