Cozy cabin among the trees near Historic Gettysburg / Liberty Mountain Resort

Welcome to our peaceful cabin nestled within the woods! While this property offers much on its own, its close proximity to popular locales and attractions make it a fitting and convenient accommodation. Just a short drive to historic Gettysburg PA (20 min), Liberty Mountain Resort (7 min), Emmitsburg MD / Mount Saint Mary's University / Mother Seton Shrine (9 min), the Appalachian Trail (12 min), Michaux State Forest (25 min), championship golf courses, breweries, wineries, orchards, and so much more! Perfect for day trips to Washington DC, Baltimore, and Hershey Park, too (90 min)!

The outdoor space offers a spacious deck overlooking a babbling creek with a large outdoor dining table and a gas fire pit, and a fire ring within the garden grounds. Both areas are a great place to unwind after a day of exploring the area!

The extensive use of wood finishes throughout the cabin emits a cozy and eclectic feel. The living area is open and accommodates group leisure time and gathering. A dedicated office space is ready for those working remotely. Along with the first and second floor bedrooms, the loft space offers an additional sleeping area with a full bed. The first floor bathroom features a large jetted jacuzzi tub for relaxation and a first floor washer and dryer is available for convenience. A dog run off the deck offers your furry friends a space of their own, while keeping them safe.

Other amenities include: Wifi, 50" Roku TV, small Roku TV in first floor bedroom, A/C, covered parking for two vehicles, with driveway space for additional vehicles; dishwasher; small kitchen appliances (blender, mixer, microwave, air-fryer, coffee pot, toaster-oven); hairdryers.

Entry into the home and the first floor bathroom are wheel-chair accessible with 36" doorways. The first floor bedroom has a 3" step at the 32" doorway.

At the heart of it, this home is a well-weathered cabin in the woods. Please keep in mind that means the property comes with all elements of nature...plant-life, wildlife, uneven ground, and most importantly a sense of calm. We absolutely loved this cabin and location! The area is close enough to Gettysburg and downtown for exploring. It was super comfortable and clean, very rustic which we enjoyed. The dog area outside was great and was nice to not have to worry about them being off leash. Would highly recommend and looking forward to booking again with this host !!

Perfect place to stay if you love sitting outside and listening to nature. The propert was clean and comfortable. Easy distance to travel to Gettysburg or DC (we did both.) Overall, as a family of 4, we would love to return if we ever make it back this direction.

Peaceful and cozy

Enjoyed our stay very much. House was clean and area is very nice. Went two days to Gettysburg and one day to a local winery. Would definitely look forward to another stay here. Laura and Julie responded right away when we had a question and we thank you so much.

Peaceful Retreat

The host was wonderful. Everything we needed plus some additional goodies. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. Would highly recommend.

Perfect cabin in secluded area

The listing description doesn't do justice on how wonderful this cabin is. The cabin is very spacious, clean, and well stocked. It's surrounded by woods and the nearby creek created a perfect tranquil soundtrack to the weekend. Exceeded our expectations!

Tranquility!

The house was wonderful and well equipped. Check in was very easy and the location was very convenient. Everything was clean and well organized. The property is right next to 2 creeks and the nature was wonderful.

This was the perfect home for us to stay with our family and dogs! Everything we could possibly need was in this home and there wasn't a single thing that we needed that we couldn't find. The dog run was great and we enjoyed exploring the creek and surrounding area on a few walks with our fur babies. The communication was amazing and I received prompt responses and helpful instructions. We spent a day exploring Gettysburg and I wish we had done 2 days because there was so much. We're big history buffs in our family so it was a must see for us (which was one of the reasons we chose this property). We enjoyed eating at Taverna, Fairfield Diner, Tuscany Pizzeria, Blessing Restaurant (in Gettysburg), and Deja Brew Coffee. I don't imagine we will ever be in the area again (we were here for a wedding), but if we are, we would definitely stay here again!

Just what we needed!

The home was extremely clean and we loved the location - close to golf and just a quick drive to Gettysburg! My husband and I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and went for a run each morning of our stay. The space was roomy enough for our family of 3 plus our pup! We enjoyed the snacks left for us, the extra towels we could use for our pup and the Yahtzee! We saw deer, bunnies and were even visited by a snake that enjoyed the front ramp! We would definitely stay again!

FABULOUS Pet Friendly Place

This place is AWESOME. Too bad we could only give 5 stars. It is more like 10. Hidden away in the woods but close enough to everything. Place was immaculate. Well furnished with all you need. Great dog run for our 2 dogs. And they loved the creek. Sit on the deck in the morning with coffee and listen to the water running. This is definitely a place to revisit.

Ski trip

The secluded and pristine property was an absolute joy to come back to after a long day on the mountain. The constant sound of the babbling creek just steps away from the back deck created the perfect setting for a wonderful mountain getaway. Also, our dog loved roaming the land and seeing the occasional Deer grazing in the woods. I highly recommend booking here. If we ever come back to ski at Liberty resort, this will be the first place I look for to stay in!

We appreciated that beds were clean and comfortable and that primary surfaces such as bathrooms were clean, but beware that house cleaning standards beyond primary surfaces were lax, if that is of importance to you. The house is easy to get to and the area is very quiet.
