During your stay, you'll enjoy complete privacy in the lower level of our home, which features its own secure entrance for easy and convenient access. The only shared area is the stairway that leads to our laundry and brew room, which we may need to access occasionally. Otherwise, the entire garden-level space is yours to relax, unwind, and make yourself at home—we hope you find it to be a cozy and welcoming retreat!
For parking, there is free street parking available. We kindly ask that you avoid parking in the driveway or in front of our neighbors’ driveways to ensure everything runs smoothly for everyone.
On weekends, we may occasionally use the brew room (which also serves as our laundry room) for brewing beer. If you happen to be sensitive to the smell of beer early in the morning, just let us know—we’re happy to adjust our brewing schedule to suit your preferences.
The individual making the reservation must be the guest staying with us for the duration of the booking. Additionally, please note that our space is designed to comfortably accommodate up to four guests with two queen beds. For parties of up to six, the sofa bed is available; however, it may feel a bit snug. We kindly ask that you do not exceed six guests, as this is the maximum capacity for our property. Should additional guests arrive beyond the original reservation, an extra fee will be applied for each unregistered person. Thank you for understanding and helping us ensure a comfortable experience for everyone!
Additionally, there is alcohol on the premises available for our 21 and older guests to enjoy! Please note that the primary guest booking with us must be 21 years or older and is responsible for ensuring all individuals under the age of 21 comply with this policy.

Jennie and I both hail from Iowa, where we first met while attending Iowa State University. We're both professional interior designers—while I work with a large architectural firm here i Denver, Jennie takes on contract work and collaborates with design firms across the country.
I’ve always had a passion for hands-on projects, thanks to my background in construction. Our house has been one of our biggest projects yet, and it’s been such a rewarding experience to combine our design expertise with my construction skills to create the cozy space you’ll be staying in.
When it comes to hobbies, I’m drawn to just about anything that ferments, but brewing beer has become more of an obsession than a pastime! During your stay, you’ll have the chance to sample some of my beer on tap, and if you’re curious, you might even catch me brewing in the adjacent brew room. We hope you enjoy the space as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it!

The Virginia Village area is a charming neighborhood known for its abundance of Mid-Century Modern homes, a variety of fantastic restaurants, and its convenient access to just about everything. One of the things that makes this neighborhood particularly special is that it’s located just outside the metro area, yet still within Denver County—offering the perfect balance of city proximity and a more relaxed, suburban feel. For those who enjoy biking or scenic walks, the Cherry Creek Trail is a real gem. This beautiful trail can take you all the way downtown or out to the Cherry Creek Reservoir, providing a peaceful and picturesque route. I actually bike it every day during the summer to get to work, and it’s such an enjoyable ride—I can’t recommend it enough!
