This property was exactly what the Dr. ordered. It was in a relaxing, tree-covered glen. The outdoor deck was perfect for early morning coffee and evening chats. The hot tub was terrific. It was clean, operable, and ready to go. The beds were comfortable. The hosts had extra pillows and blankets available for the more cold-natured of us. We would have liked to check in early, but at least the hosts let us put our bags in the home. It would have been great to have a washer and dryer, but they were locked up. Other than that, the stay was fantastic.

The location is incredible. Being secluded on the mountain and only 15min from downtown Chattanooga was the perfect spot for both rest and exploring.While you are on a beautiful 6 acre lot there is minimal area for your pups to walk or use the bathroom. Would recommend the park at the bottom of Signal Mountain that's 5 minutes away.Be aware that it is located on a very steep and curvy mountain road and driveway. It's well maintained but may be outside of others comfort zones.While the house is great, it's lacking some of those 5 star details and amenities that will come over time.The host was super responsive and helped resolve an issue with the AC promptly.Overall we enjoyed our time and the property

We loved our family vacation staying here! It was a great mountain retreat, while still an easy drive to downtown Chattanooga attractions. The place had everything we needed to cook a family meal, relax outdoors, and even accommodated our pups. 6 adults were more than comfortable here for a long weekend. Host was very easy to communicate with, the space was clean, and there were lots of great local recommendations.

This home is a perfect getaway for yourself and your family. A very well planned out floor design along with sub substantial outside space. They mention neighbors, but there are no neighbors in sight. Highly recommend. We will be back when we visit the Chattanooga area.

We loved our stay. The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking or mountain biking. The host was very communicative. We would def stay again if this spot is avaiable the next time we come to Chattanooga.

The location on Signal Mountain was amazing! We loved being able to quickly and easily get into downtown Chattanooga. The property itself was peaceful and relaxing with turkeys roaming the woods while I enjoyed my coffee on the porch. Definitely make sure you follow the instructions on the driveway and know that if you drive a large vehicle, go ahead and plan on having to back out of the driveway.

There were a lot of things we really liked about this property but there were a few items that really detracted from the overall experience that were a surprise given the high ratings/reviews. I’d like to provide a fair and balanced review so that others in the future can make a better informed decision then we were afforded. The #1 Pro is that this property is nestled in the woods. Others include a nice main living area and décor, 75" tv, clean inside, new Weber grill, and less than 3 miles from everything we wanted. The #1 Con was very low shower water pressure/hot water which was mentioned by a reviewer in July. That led to sponge baths and washing hair in the sink. The next is much higher volume of traffic/noise than I expected. This road clearly serves more than local traffic. This didn't impact the main living area but did the bedrooms and the firepit. At night headlights penetrated the MB due to shades others have mentioned offer little privacy. It won't flood the room with light but rather be more like a mild strobe effect through the trees. The firepit is THE area to sit outside and the cushions were very stained, dirty and uninviting to sit on. I've had a call with the host to review these items along with some easy fixes and she seemed receptive. So, hopefully she will update the property details with upgrades to these areas coupled with reviews that explicitly state that these issues have been addressed. If so, you'll likely love this property!

It was a great relaxing getaway. The amenities were perfect, and the house is very close to Chattanooga. The floor plan is very open with a walk-in shower in the master. My husband has mobility issues and was able to navigate the house and even the deck with no trouble.

The host was very communicative and friendly. The house was close to everything and had large windows with a beautiful view of the town below. The driveway was tricky getting in and out of but that is noted in the listing. This was our annual family Christmas vacation and the only disappointment was that it was not decorated for Christmas but I didn't ask that before booking. Overall our family had a great stay!

Overall had a good time! Listed some pros and cons below. Great location and not too far up the mountain/away from Chattanooga center. Pros: comfortable beds, hot tub, large house, stocked kitchen, dog friendlyCons: no washer or dryer, need more lights outside, neighbors spent 2 hours shooting guns, driveway is hard to get in and out of in a large SUV

So beautiful…. The Most comfortable beds…the View…the hot tub.. perfect kitchen…. The bonus room with the ping pong table…The host was amazing and quick to responses…,. I have stayed at some amazing places…, but there is always that one thing that could be better! I can’t say that about this one!!!

Mountainside Getaway

My family stayed here for an extended weekend. We enjoyed our stayed, hot tub and grill. The house has been updated and comfortable. Some work is still being done. The only word of caution is the driveway. I had a truck and it was difficult getting in and out. Narrow and hard to see traffic when you pull out. Host was great and answered questions quickly. We would come back.

Very lovely property and wonderful and responsive hosts! Wonderful stay and just what we wanted for my wife and I to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The hosts were fantastic and the house provided the perfect retreat for the two of us. We greatly enjoyed the hot tub, the outdoor fire pit and grill, ping pong, the large screen TVs, and the overall cleanliness of the home. The close proximity to hiking trails and kayaking as well as downtown Chattanooga was also just what we were looking for. For some reason we had in our minds that the house would be nestled deep within the 6-acre property, but it's fairly close to the road. Sometimes a noisy car when we were outside, but not really a problem, did not disturb us indoors, but just good to have the right expectation for our next stay there. Definitely would stay again!

Overall, a good stay. The property manager was very responsive, the beds were comfortable and location was very convenient. There were a few things that will guarantee we don’t come back. First, there is no washer/dryer in the unit and it is not stated in the listing, it’s just not listed under amenities. I have never stayed in a VRBO without these. It defeats the point in getting a “home” instead of a hotel and my in-laws had to go find a laundromat instead. I had to request more towels bc we had 7 people there and only 6 large towels for a 4 night stay with no washer. Second, there is zero water pressure in the showers and faucets. I had to wash my hair in the kitchen sink using the hard spray setting on the faucet bc the shower barely took the soap off my body much less shampoo from my hair. And lastly, this may not be a big deal to most but I have three young children, the “room darkening shades in each room” that are mentioned in the listing are sheer window coverings that you can see straight in through from the outside. This made nap time and bed time much harder for us.

Regarding the washer and dryer, we do not advertise that the unit has laundry facilities, which is how guests know they are not available. That said, we understand they are an important amenity for many travelers, and we're currently exploring the possibility of installing a washer and dryer in the future. When you let us know you needed additional towels, we were happy to provide them right away. We'll also inspect the water pressure to ensure everything is functioning as it should. We'll review the window coverings as well.
